Yeah, as long as you have the same filter setup. There is another arrangement that uses a cartridge, and not sure if you can do that or not, but the one that uses the open bottom metal cannister and the steel bottom bowl, yeah that should work fine. The 4-108 and both the Perkins and the Westerbeke 4-107 are massively similar. There were a few changes over the years on peripherals like starters, lift pump, heat exchanger, etc but the main difference is the head bolts are smaller on the 4-107 and some later 4-108s, and the 4-107 has wet cylinder liners. Oh, and Perkins paint is blue and Westerbeast is red. If you care.
Will these work on a D3.152? I have a Lincoln sa 250 that I cleaned fuel system on and cannot get the injection pump to pump. It was running fine last time but I acted as if it ran out of fuel but wasn’t. I found some trash in tank and filter removed tank cleaned it flushed it out but now can’t get fuel out of the injection pump. I have never had an engine this hard to prime . Any suggestions?
Actually I am not sure that the Baldwin converter will work on the 4-108 and 4-107 type engines. But any home/hobby machinist can make a spin-on fuel filter adapter in a day. Or just replace the whole works with an R12T or similar. You may need to do a little light metalworking to do that. The OEM setup is a PITA.
The OEM is a water separator unit also.
Very imformative
hi guys! would love to order one of these!
This works on an old 4.236?
Will this work on a Westerbeke 4-107? setup looks about the same.
