Les had such a beautiful voice. BCR did not get the airplay in the U S. that they deserved. Going back in time watching all of the videos on here. So sad that Les is gone.

This is absolutely my most favorite footage of them. The two songs together have such chemistry and it pulls you entirely in! I love the way Woody's gorgeous hair bounces when he grooves and Eric's guitar playing is beautiful .Derek's drumming talent really stands out here as well. Ian adds his special touch and Les' soul is showing....very nice!

I dont know why but I always imagine this band as a wolfpack of the biggest egos in pop. That said there is a lot of talent here and the songs are stronger than one would expect from a 80s boy band
Not an 80's boy band...most popular in the mid 70's. They were all very talented but mismanaged/taken advantage of (like many bands were then...and still are). I still listen to their music every day and will love this band--esp. 🎸Eric--forever! 🥰

Yea they are miming to re-recordings of the songs. Copyright laws at that time said they had to re-record the song within 3 hours of the TV mime. Eric had stated in the never finished memoirs of his that it was difficult to get a really good recording with only that much time, especially if its a few songs.
So what the deal. Derek's playng is mostly in sync with the playback but its still a pre-record of some sort. Both songs from when Alan is in the band but this features Ian from his brief tenure. Curious to know what this was for and if there are other songs.
wyomingrose I agree! I wish they would. Look at all these recent movies about 70's stars. Queen and the Elton one come to mind. It would make a great movie. To tell the real truth about how talented they were and how badly they were treated. So sad that we recently lost Ian. I loved them all. Thought Les hung the moon! But I also loved Eric and Woody so much. Then along came Ian and my little 15 year heart just about burst!!
