  • This video details what parts I needed to go E85 in my 2016 Charger R/T. I also discuss the pros and cons to going E85 in a Dodge Charger. This is a full bolt on, cammed Charger R/T with the Hemi 5.7 with an E85 Dyno tune. If you decide to do this yourself, I also encourage you to speak to a professional so they can give you advice.

    My 19 challenger RT is out in LA as we speak getting the E85 tune by MPR Motorsports out by Lake Elsinore. This guy also had me put on the hellcat injectors and told me upgrade my fuel pump so I would have the proper fuel pressure. I ended up going with the 392 fuel pump. You think this is why your having start up problems? Maybe not enough fuel pressure? I also went with a unlocked pcm and have full bolt ons. BBK long tube headers, mid pipe with high flow cats, borla Kat back mid mufflers with resonator delete, 90 mm BBK throttle body and th T/A ram air intake and they are also adding the 3.09 differential. I really can't wait to get it back. I here this tune does wonders.
    Keep up the videos. Good job brotha.

      @DonnySRT  Před 3 lety

      This is definitely something I am going to ask the tuner next time I go out there - does your car have a cam? I'm also inclined to believe that it's the cam causing a lot of the issues haha

    • @louislamas6912
      @louislamas6912 Před 3 lety

      @@DonnySRT not at the moment but there is a reason why. I am doing the kennel bell supercharger and my mechanic suggested to wait on the cam. He's reason behind it was because he suggested to do the hellcat cam. Sense that cam is specially designed to run with a supercharger. So as you see, me putting that cam alone would not had worked. As you know each cam is built for a purpose.
      So my next upgrade will be that. Kennel bell supercharger, hellcat cam, port the heads and probaly upgrade my throttle body from 90mm to 102 or 105 mm. It should be enough to put me in the top 500/600 rear wheel.
      Then obviously the final stage would be 397 forged internal set up so I am able to bump up the psi on the supercharger and re enforce the trani to take 800 hp but to get to this point will be maybe a year or two down the road. I want to first run thr motor down to 100k plus miles before doing the internals. Plus 600 hp rear wheel should be fun enough to keep me happy for a while.
      But definitely look into a bigger pump. I really believe that's your problem. Plenty of air coming in but not enough fuel to support it.
      Best of luck bud.

    I have a flexfuel kit in my 5.7 Challenger. No need to change out the injectors, it runs perfectly fine on E85, 93, or a mix. But could I get more power by switching the injectors? 🤔

  • @itsgunturd2952
    @itsgunturd2952 Před 2 lety +4

    So my thing is if you go flex fuel route what’s stopping you from still getting just a straight e85 tune, 91 or 93 tune, and then a flex tune. Yes you’d have to reflash for each one but flex doesn’t mean you have to be running a flex tune at all times correct? I’ve been thinking about doing that route and my tuner said he can write me a tune for my standard 91, a e85 tune, and a flex tune for when I want to switch until I burn enough to switch to straight 91 or 85 depending which I’m switching to
