I'd love to see an OG level "everyday use" flashlight series. I don't detail to the level where I need lights like these, but I love a good flashlight. That Fenix looks really nice.
It would be interesting to see Matt's pick for one to keep in your vehicle, one to keep by your nightstand, a floodlight that lights up the whole neighborhood, etc...
That Fenix is the way to go. I use that sucker everywhere.
I think Sandro of Car Craft Auto Detailing has several of the bigger Scangrip lights mounted all over the walls and ceiling of his shop's polishing bay. Pretty slick, but man that's some serious coin.

Very nice, and I appreciate the wide range of available choices. The line light stuff is especially good. For a guy like me who just takes care of his own vehicles, I can easily see the flashlights/hand held stuff being of the most value to me for a lot of different reasons.
I wonder if this can be paired with mag switch of some type. I have several types of mag switches I use for woodworking and those magnets are just so much better than what you showed here
The Fenix lights are no joke. I have two of the same light, same batteries, and possibly the same charger for doing rock climbing outside at night for better temps in warmer months. Having the two lights and a headlamp can easily illuminate a 20’ x 20’ area in the middle of the night.
White Details (CZcams channel) uses these lights. Even the tripod versions. Great lights!

A trick: you can watch movies at InstaFlixxer. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.

I would agree with Matt, it’s kinda pointless to use all the tripod lights if you already have good installed lighting in your working station then your good with just the hand held lighting for closer inspection while working, all the tripod lights are going to work better and be more useful if your working in a darker shop some would even turn their shop lights out and use the tripods... this is why you see some shops painting their walls black.
I’ve got a cheap version of the line light r but it has a magnet built into it. I wish I didn’t have to buy an additional accessory to have the same function. Still might buy it hahah

I’m curious on why you don’t like the rolling tripod. I’m super interested in it. Seems like everything they make is a win, maybe the rolling tripod falls short

so what exactly sucks at wheel version of the tripod? I bought the non wheel version and think that wheel version would have been better(gets lower etc.)

Do you have to cycle through the outputs on the first flashlight every time? I have a cheapo and every off/on changes the output, so every time i turn it on i have to cycle to the brightest setting. Freaking pain in the ass.
No, it turns on at the last used setting.

Based on the specs, it telescopes up to 170cm. Isn't that too short for the roof & hood? does anyone know?

The hood hooking light works really good for detailing interiors too, justa gotta hook it on the roof of the car with the doors opened

Matt, how good is line light for spotting coating high spots? I have the Gyeon light, but the light bulp with the diffusor is kinda small and takes alot of time to check whole panel.
I find the line light to be pretty good for that.

U don’t do much paint correction on different color cars if u think your finding all of the swirls and scratches with an led tactical light
