- Hello,
The Petrol Lantern Tempête made its first appearance in the mid-19th century, around the 1850s. It is an iconic model that has withstood the test of time. Its primary purpose was to provide reliable and consistent lighting in extreme weather conditions. It was designed to withstand storms and challenging environments. Manufactured with robust materials such as metal and heat-resistant glass, it is durable and shock-resistant. Its powerful and adjustable lighting allows for creating a perfect ambiance in any situation.
I practice the restoration of objects in poor condition. This is a passion, so it is not my profession. Just enjoy the video.
GOOD VIEWING !! :)

Beautiful Restoration
Thanks!! :)
Loving the black and gold, ive got a few of these i need to restore, great work👍
Thank you for the innovative comment🫡
Beautiful result. The cold-bluing is a great finish. One hint I hope you'll find useful: applying flux to the points to be soldered will make the solder spread and flow into the gaps, rather than beading as you were experiencing here.
Thanks for the advice!! 😁
Another thing you would find helpful: remove the cold blueing finish from any area (or mask them off prior to cold-blueing) where you want solder to adhere. The oxide layer that cold-blueing creates will prevent the solder from bonding to that surface. You will use much less solder, and the result will be better looking AND more durable. Remember, “If the solder don’t flow, it’ll eventually let go!”
Bonjour, j’aime beaucoup vos « mises en scène » en plus de la remise en état des objets les plus insolites… Merci pour ces moments de partage.
Merci, je prend beaucoup de plaisir :))
Beautiful do you keep all that you restore ? That’s too funny when you drink the sludge 😅😂
😂😂
fantastic work once again keep it up
Thank you very much!😁
Lindo demais
Adoro artefatos antigos
😁
Super restauration bravo riche idée l historique de l objet on attend plus de vidéos 😊
Merci beaucoup Patricia :))
Freaking awesome outcome!!! And love the comedic, had me laughing out loud!
Thanks !! 😂😂
Beautiful restoration. The build is looking progressive and brilliant 😃😃
Thank you very much!!!🤩
Placing brass items in acid (any type of acid) dissolves the zinc in the material make-up that is near the surface of the item. This is why the item looks a copper colour. To get back to a brass finish, it is necessary to polish away the copper on the surface.
Nice restoration mate! 😊
Thank you bro!!
Pour les soudures à l'étain vous devriez utiliser du flux ça aiderait beaucoup
Excellent work! Beautiful result. Also, you should consider bottling and selling your 'rust water' as a replacement for iron pills. It looked delicious LOL.
Thanks !! thanks for the advice😂😂
It looks original
Thanks !!
Why is there a screw cap at the top?
The cap is used to "call for air"
Utilise du Flux de brasage! Pitié!
Soldering an oiled piece of metal? Does not work well...The soldering of the burner and the soldering of the copper plate was not good because it was not clean metal...use flux!! S39. Just the same as soldering the undersite of the fuel tank. Lantern will not burn good..top screw is not mounted at the end...
