Season is a 1989 Indian Malayalam-language neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by Padmarajan. It stars Mohanlal and Gavin Packard. The story is set at Kovalam beach in Kerala and Poojappura Central Prison, Trivandrum. The score was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
Season is considered well ahead of its time and has a cult status in Malayalam cinema.[1][2][3][4] Often cited as one of the finest crime thrillers in Malayalam,[5] it failed to attract enough audience during its theatrical run.
