THANK YOU! I wanted to give you 2 a shout out today! I went to Alabama to see my parents for Thanksgiving! We were preparing for family to come over. My mom got a call from my Aunt Mary who is 4 hours away from my mom. My Aunt told my mom to tell me to bake a pound cake. I felt like she put me on the spot because EVERYONE knows I don’t bake. I never baked for no one in my life. I said omg how am I going to do this? LONG STORY SHORT: I searched & searched on CZcams to see who pound cake seem the best. This is my favorite cake. I whip it up in a flash. It's so easy to make and lends itself to different icings or fruit toppings. A definite crowd pleaser. Love that 'Mom and Me'. TFS!!

I made this yesterday and it was DELICIOUS - moist, incredible flavor. THANKS. My only recommendation for anyone trying it is to stick to the hour and 30, maybe 40 minutes and pull it out of the oven. The cake is extremely moist, so the toothpick test may be deceiving, meaning, the cake was probably done, but I kept leaving it in for another few minutes to get a clean toothpick. Thus, my outer crust could break a tooth, but the inside was remarkable! I used a Nordic bundt pan. I welcome any solutions - this cake is the deal!

Yes, this looks delicious!!! Like a lot of commenters said, I'd skip on the icing also. (I usually don't do icing for 7-Up pound cake or Sour Cream pound cake either and those cakes are delicious by themselves!) This cake looks like it could stand on it's own; it does not need any icing. But icing is fine for anyone that wants it.)

I added a small can of crushed pineapple chopped up fine and only drizzeled the icing with a small amount of the pineapple juice mixed in. Made a great cake even more great. THANKS
