That was a lovely outing on the river. It's nice when you get a break in the wintry weather to get out & about. Our sky was bright red at sunrise this morning, so I knew there was a storm coming. Sure enough, we've got a blizzard! 😱🥶😝 Oh well, that's winter in Canada. 😂😁 I loved the pocket mudlarking in this episode. Brilliant finds. 🤣🤣🤣 Manky was being quite adventurous. I was so excited 😆 to see you Phil & Caroline on the river! It’s been a while since I’ve seen this and I absolutely had so much fun watching…. Like you said Phil being with nature is great to walk about. The energy and excitement looked amazing on you both 😊 ❤ I would hope you enjoyed it as well. My suggestion is Spring will be the best time for you both to walk around a bit. I say this because of the weather going on right now. I don’t want to see you both sick 🤒.

Those sticks you use to pick up stuff are wonderful..my brother in law had an extra and gave it to me here in Canada and I used it for picking up twigs in my yard from my Copper Beech tree..I'm in my seventies and oh boy , they are amazing for saving one's back....I had never seen them before your videos and then my brother in law had this extra one..

So lovely to join you for a mudlark once again. Hope you both enjoyed it too. (Of course i didn't have to brave the cold, but at least it wasn't quite as cold as the clip from a previous visit). The river was rushing along in places and Manky was wise to be careful. You too! I can't remember you finding that 'Whiteways' stopper, but didn't they once make cider? Cyder with a 'y' if I remember rightly. There were still lots of finds so the river still has plenty of its treasure to surrender to you! I too loved the shaping on your brick Phil and well done to find the pipe stem Caroline!
We had a great time and we're so happy that you enjoyed coming along with us. As you say, it was a lot warmer than the old visit in the snow ⛄ A brick and a pipe stem, not a bed start and we'll be back for more 🤠😎🐼

Mr. Johnson we've had flash flood warnings for 3 days. It looked like a fast flowing river. Well just have to keep on singing Tina Turner's Proud Mary ... you know " rollin', rollin', rollin' on the river."
I think we'll be singing a lot of songs like that this year Peggy, we're having so many storms we're already up to 'J' with the names and they started at 'A' at the start of the year!! Sadly while the water can be incredible to watch in the wild, it can also be very destructive to property and people. Stay safe, and thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼

I was just down at this spot, came home and found you'd uploaded this video. The river has really changed after the last storm but the water levels were surprisingly low given all the ran we've had. I was wildlife watching and litter picking this time. Keep an eye out for the otter down there. I haven't seen him for a while but I was finding crayfish remains all along the bank so he's been busy catching those by the looks of it. Great to see you both back out on the river.
One of these days we'll bump into each other Dave. We marvel at the power of the water along that stretch, it seems to change course so often and sometimes quite dramatically. We'll watch out for the otter. 🤠😎🐼

i do like the mudlarking and the traveling u both do..... is ther any way to alternate the 2 ? there is a metal detecting video i watch in vermont in the U.S.A. and due to our winters /cold weather he does vlogs/ metal detecting/leather workings etc.. so basically you never really know what the next video is going to be... like a surprise....he also does treasure hunting videos of legends of vermont..like pirate routes to find their staches...its pretty cool ..just to give u some ideas... you all have such gorgeous countryover there...

It is hard to hear with the rain pounding on the roof and windows! lol what a winter's night/morning! But a perfect time to settle down to a hot cup of cocoa and watch my favorite couple!
