  • The remarkable life and experience of the first black footballer to play for Chelsea FC, during an era where racial discrimination, bigotry and violence were customary in sport, its fans and Britain.
‘The abuse Paul Canoville faced on and off the pitch is one of the most extreme examples ever known of racism in football’
When Paul Canoville stepped out on the pitch for his first Chelsea game on 12th April 1982, its was a day that would not only change his life but would change the history of the club.
Paul’s struggle paved the way for modern day black athletes to succeed, and black and blue will tell the story in depth.

11kids by ten different mothers ,done for drugs and carrying a knife,Cannoville is everything that is wrong with the UK today,it seems the Chelsea fans of the Eighties were right,Chelsea have lots of great Black players who are role models however Cannoville is not one of them.

Don't talk about my cousin that way! You don't even know him personally, we all have our personal issues but he is still a great guy with a big heart. He regrets some of the mistakes he has made but like everyone in the world we all make mistakes. Plus being young, successful and in the spotlight will make u do things.

For God s sake he was a 4/10 player, nothing more. Do not make him out to be some sort of idol . He wasn’t . Poor player in a even poorer CFC side at the time.
