I hear you say a lot of maps are “made” for certain civs and i’m pretty new to aoe and the first thing i tried to look for in a guide was how to play the maps and what you generally want to do you should make a series about the maps in aoe4
Honestly it doesn't matter that much, the thing I personally like about aoe4 is there is no guides because the game is new, and meta is changing constantly, we're all here to learn and to do that we have to do a lot of dumb (and wrong) things, together :D
Just think of it as : some map are easier to wall and defend while some are open and you can be attacked from all sides.. Thus defensive civ(China) will have an advantage when it comes to a defensive map.. Conversely open maps or where both players spawn close are good for civs that have early aggression(eng, mongol, French).
yea but he is right, there are some KEY spot you want to defend, depending of your units mix.

@@lucaxtshotting2378 OK. "Fake retreat" is also a normal retreat. It was a tactic used by the Mongols to bait enemies into a trap. Demuslims ineffective maa harass put him in a vulnerable position and Vortix chased too far. Meanwhile Demuslim was shift clicking villigers movments away from palace guards into arti.
@@lucaxtshotting2378 Vortix mill in front of the defense wasn't trolling. It shows that he respected the power of villagers and he just tried to utilize them same way as his opponent.

Villagers get a speed boost when garrisoning or running from military I believe.

damn, vortix lost that with lack of scouting though demuslim might have stone-walled the sides if he saw vortix scouting, it seems vortix simply abandoned any try for the side gold but walls favor chinese hugely with their superior siege. weird choice for vortix as walls are relatively cheap and he had sooo much time to do it while demuslim walked the long way or sat doing nothing up in the hills.

Lidakor's casting style absolutely kills the "momentum" that is built up by Drongo. It really has felt like Drongo hasn't felt completely comfortable being himself. His casting during this series has been more... I don't know... restrained? I realize he's being very conscientous about there being a 2nd caster, and looking to give him space to talk as well (and he does a great job of this, by the way), but then Lidakor just continually drops the ball and doesn't keep the conversation going. Maybe it's because there could be a bit of a delay? I just feel like there's a fine line between having a different style, and not working together at all, and you gotta start wondering (heh), should Lidakor really be casting this?
I swear I'm not trying to trash on Lidakor, but I can't help but wish it were either entirely cast by Drongo, or co-cast with someone else.
Edit: I'm also quite aware that Lidakor isn't casting in his native tongue, and serious props to him on that. I couldn't imagine trying to cast a game in German, where my knowledge has degraded to "conversational" level at best.

Why people don't invest (at least 2 villagers) into stone so they can build stone walls... Instead they are building wooden walls and have to constantly rebuild them...
Stone walls are more expensive tho
@@karlk7070 but often they are 1-time investment and also dismantle any flank push so you can focus on 1 thing which in long run will generate more.

There were too many vills for the siege to escape and shortly the match ended so even if most vills had died it wouldn't make a difference. English should've rushed early and that would've given more adv but just by being the aggressor his economy and the momentum was in his favor giving him higher probability of winning. Are you German or something defending lidikor?

A pure shit and lack of respect of Microsoft and the editors, I want the game in English, and I get in Brazilian, I'm not brazilian I'm Portuguese it's not the same thing. I wont change my OS language to play this game, since I have a game pass I will uninstall the game, don't even want to try it.
Have you tried contacting MS store support or game support? What you describe here sounds like an easy problem to solve.
