Following the overthrow of our sovereign, the royal Hawaiian flag, which flew over Iolani palace, was lowered and immediately shredded into ribbons, then handed out to the sons and daughters of the businessmen that were to become members of government.

There are many examples of people needing to take care of themselves on a local level and this is another example of that. Thank you "Big Island Video News" for posting this Video. Can you post more Videos on the History of Hawai'i please?
I feel so sorry for Hawaiians. The Invaders came to the Land and taught the Bible. When they started taking over, the Native People couldn't retaliate because of what they were being taught from the Bible. I can imagine that they would have been told or came to the realisation of how they would've felt like they would be condemned if they retaliated. It's an absolute deceit of the very Book that those Invaders held in the Hands.
The Ten Commandment speak about this. Thou shall not shall not steal. Also, thou shall not envy thy Neighbour. The Invaders clearly didn't give a Pineapple about any of that.
I was actually thinking about what happened to Hawai'i and its People, without even having watched these Videos on the History of Hawai'i and I had a Feeling that things like that happened. I checked the Videos and what I was thinking about is exactly what happened. It's messed up.
Hawai'i has been infected in so many ways. Infected with Sugar and everything else.
There are Channels that reveal similar History on Hawai'i's USA Annexing. They are "Johnny Harris", "Weird History", "Mastering Knowledge" and "AJ+".

I feel Hawaii should be allowed to fly the flag next to the US flag, never below it. The United States should set up a system ironically similar to PRC China with Hong Kong and Macau, when it comes to the state of Hawaii and territory of Puerto Rico. Grant Hawaii its own system of law, it's own constitution, it's own government- expanded on from the current one, Hawaii could make English, Hawaiian, and Japanese constutionally official languages. Thus all three would be taught in schools alongside English. Signs would be in all 3 as well. Defense can be left up to the US, as well as currency, and funding for the state now special regions administrations, emergency services, schools, larger projects should remain the same. The police would be reorganized into a Hawaiian Police force, and the existing Honolulu Metro Police Force, but create a distinctly more Asian style police look, i.e. model it more on Japan or Hong Kongs police forces. Furthermore the islands government could be expanded to include a Hawaiian border & territoral guard which would simply be the reorganization of the State existing National Guard, further the regular US military, with exception of the US Coast Guard, who would work alongside the territorial guard, (territory implies of Hawaii and not of the US) would have to ask permission to operate outside the bases from the government of Hawaii and be left to a uniform only in closed barracks situation except when off duty like Hong Kong. Passports could be issued for this Special region. One must be a citizen of Hawaii, and US citizens and foreign nationals alike would have to go through a process to live in Hawaii i.e. apply for residency and the region could issue it's own Visa system. Furthermore they could differ from the mainland in that Hawaii could issue work Visas for work and special visas for travel with close partners like Japan, South Korea, PR China, and the Philippines, but require a longer process for a temporary Visa for US mainlanders, this way American mainlanders couldn't overtake the area. Property and land could never be bought on any of the islands instead all land being owned by the government of Hawaii. Hawaiians would no longer be subject to draft, but could volunteer for US service. Hawaiians would have Visa free and passport free travel to the US, could vote in the US elections, and maintain US citizenship and Nationality, with a dual Hawaiian Nationality, Hawaii thus would be administered and defended by the US, but have it's own even more so independent government.

Just visited a couple islands and all the locals made it real clear tourists, "mainlanders," and some other names I can't recall aren't welcome. From the bumper stickers to the billboards to the loudspeakers on the beaches chanting, "we aren't American," and "F#@K the white man," infront of everyone's children it was a pretty clear how they felt. Naturally I wanted to learn why they felt that way but for fear of my life I didn't dare speak to a local and ask them to educate me. The protest agitator on the loud speaker seemed very knowledgeable but given she was encouraging the crowd of locals to become violent against the tourists enjoying a beautiful day on the beach as a means of returning Hawaii's sovereignty, I felt it wouldn't a good time to learn either. This is how I have come across this video and videos like it. Thank you for the enlightenment! I will use this in conjunction with how we were treated by the locals during our trip to educate my children, friends, and family on how America stole Hawaii and why we should not trespass by visiting the islands. I find it imperative to return Hawaii's sovereignty and in accordance with the locals wishes my family and I will never again return to Hawaii. I will further assist Hawaiians by passing along this history lesson to all my friends and family in an effort to help them respect the people of Hawaii by no longer imposing on their home and land.

I see you've bought into the lie the 'founding fathers' told you about taxes.
The real reason for the American Revolution was due to the British Empire's decision to abolish slavery...and all the founding fathers owned hundreds of slaves. Under new British legislation it would've been illegal to bring further slaves over from the African continent, and there was a programme in place to free slaves at a pace the economy could cope with.
What the slave owners really didn't like was being told that they would have to pay their 'property' compensation for their enslavement in either money or land.
But if you're a rich land owner how do you get the 'common' man to fight for you? You make up some bullish!t about taxes.
Hawaii was illegally forced into the 'United States' by a puppet government, and the US government who allowed non-Hawaiian residents to vote. Every single US serviceman and woman was ordered to vote to have Hawaii made a state of the USA.
All highly illegal. Because if that sort of thing was allowed everywhere, then the Chinese (a country with the world's largest population) could flood the USA with people, and then get them to vote to have the USA become a part of the People's Republic of China. Or muslims could influx into the USA and out number the population and then vote for an Islamic Caliphate.
What the USA did to Hawaii was colonialism, plain and simple.
If Hawaii declared independence tomorrow would the USA bomb them? Invade them? Probably. It's certain that you wouldn't respect their decision.

@@akn_Ent. I said for tourist to stop coming to hawaii. I didnt say anything about hawaii to stop being part of the US. Hawaii obviously benefits from being part of the US, including protection from China.
My problem is the Tourism industry in Hawaii does not benefit my people (Native Hawaiians), majority of the hotels here are owned by US mainland (hilton, marriot, hyatt) or Japanese (Kyo-ya resorts, seibu holdings) corporations. The majority money the tourists spend at those resorts go back to US mainland or Japan lining the pockets of those corporations CEOs and shareholders; while my people have little other economic choice but to slave away at those resorts selling a plastic prostituted version of our culture to make a living then go home to live in tents cause we cant afford homes (median price of a home here is $600k) and we are forced to live in poverty. Its basically modern day neo-colonialism. Our natural resources (the natural beauty of hawaii, that the resort corporations use to attract tourists here) and the local/native peoples (all the tourism industry workers) are being exploited for the benefit for another (those US and Japanese oligarchs that own the resorts)

US did Hawaii no favors. We were a thriving country until the US illegally overthrow happened. Thanks to the USA Marines and Naval battleships that pointed their canons at the Hawaiian Palace and declared war. This set us back so much. Please cut us off so we don’t need to pay your ridiculous FEDERAL taxes. We can use those monies here in Hawaii and do a way better job than the USA has ever done.
Take your military, we don’t need them. They need us more because of where we are situated in the middle of this damn ocean. If they want to stay, we would love to tax your damn asses. You owe us so much for being here in the first place. All your military does is destroy our lands anyway, like you do in many other countries to this day. You don’t fight for my freedom, you took it and people died for your silly causes.

Puerto Rico had the same type of vote in the 90's and they voted no, so they are not a state. The people of Hawaii have already made their choice. Now, if you want Hawaii to be more Hawaiian then vote. Change the State Constitution, run for office, change the laws. There is no future in a return to one King.
