Here's to you the amazing Korg Wavestate, the new frontier in Wave Sequencing synthesis, originally introduced by the Korg Wavestation (but also the Prophet VS, the Yamaha SY22, the Yamaha TG33 and some other legendary synths).
◉ The new Wavesequencing 2.0 that lets you create an ever-changing sound of incredible depth;
◉ Vector joystick X/Y for the control of the 4 layers;
◉ Filters derived from MS-20 and Polysix;
◉ Onboard effects;
◉ Gigabytes of raw samples;
◉ 37 full-size keys;
◉ 64 stereo voices;
◉ and much more.
Wavestate can give you extensive modulation capabilities and with the new Sample Builder you can also load up to 4 Gigabytes of your own multisamples.
But most of all, I really love its overall stunning sound quality, reminiscent of modular synthesizers, groove boxes, algorithmic generators and much more.
In this demo I just go through some presets among my favourites. No additional effects or outboard processing here. What you listen is what you get!

yes, the Wavestate has some of the best presets that I've heard.... and now there is an editor and you can add your own samples.

I have one and it is the synth I play with the most. I have a few other "greats" but this one is the most fun and surprising . I am a randomizer junky and when I find a good sound, I then work on it to make it usable and in sync etc. I have just started to import samples into it. your patches are really great and you play very nice

Once i got over the version 2.0 update debacle i was delighted with the new presets - it sounds fantastic ! Korg support were very helpful in getting me through the update which initially i struggled with but once i contacted support Saulo sent me the information and it was done in a few minutes so thanks Korg and thanks Andrea for the demo !
Korg is absolutely one of the best companies out there when it comes to customer support!
@@adl-musiclab Yes i was impressed Andrea - now i'm listening to a youtube of the Roland Integra 7 that someone mentioned in the comments ! Any thoughts on it ?
I think Integra is the last great rack expander "child" of the Roland tradition of the 90s. It collects all the sounds of the JV and XV series. I personally have a JV1080, a XV5080 and a Fa08, but if I didn't have these 3 products I would buy an Integra with my eyes closed!
@@adl-musiclab Thanks Andrea - i have the Wavestate,the FA-06 and some other kit but this sounds like the bees knees to me my friend ! But now Mr Twiglet the jack russell beckons for his walkies so i'll do some more research later - he loves Bach by the way and he's always Bach-ing up the wrong tree. Great synth .love the pads and brasses on the synth. Mines on stand along with my other synths . A very beautiful instrument with a ton of great sounding presets . Love mine . Great video thanks for sharing

I’m seriously considering buying one of these ... your video is another confirmation that I should do so. I work a lot with kontakt sample libraries like orchestral and choir vocals etc. Ambient film score styles... how realistic would you say the multi samples are yourself? They sound pretty good on here 😃

This first sound very nice. Try some Bach fuge, slow ones, like BWV 849 (C# minor) or 853 (D# minor) or 878 (E major, 2nd book) comes to my mind!

One of the best synths you can buy for under $800 USD! It does have a bit of a learning curve but there's plenty of YT videos to help. The sound quality is fantastic for the price. The ASM Hydrasynth is another good one to check out.
