*Hybrid irons! Which clubs are better? Should I go hybrid irons or stick with what I have?*
I would like to see you play a full round with the hybrids. I couldn't afford the eleven hybrids, so I bought the lazrus set. I haven't played them yet, but I would like to see a good golfer like yourself play the hybrids. Not necessarily to replace your current clubs. Thanks for the great content!
I bought my Eleven hybrid irons a month ago. I am playing the best golf now in my life. They are so easy to hit! The biggest advantage is the mis-hits. Even with bad strikes the ball goes down the fairway instead of a few feet with my old irons. Now waiting for my Eleven driver and wedges. Eleven customer service is great!
At 68 years old I can no longer rotate like I use to, and I have switched my entire bag to all hybrids and woods. Playing like I am 20 years younger. Love this technology.
I've now had a complete set of Elevens for about 20 rounds. I've shaved off 5 strokes and shot my 1st even par round in more than 5 years. These clubs are so comfortable and easy to control. What most reviewers fail to note is that all the clubs are shorter than comparable irons and other hybrids. They really are a blessing to me.
I play the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo irons. I don’t get to practice or play very often, so they really help with more consistent striking. Similar idea to the Elevens. ⛳️
Keep that up and you will sell a lot of LAB putters.
These ELEVEN irons really work. I have Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max Fast woods and irons, Mizuno 923 HOT METAL IRONS, Titleist TSR 2 Driver, 3W and 5 Hybrid but I saw this from Alex and others so I orders an ELEVEN Hybrid 3 iron and received it yesterday. Took it to the range today and first hit it off the short grass and then off a short tee. WOW! SOLD me on buying the rest of the ELEVEN set 4-PW plus 3 wedges. I am 70 years old and golf is my hobby.
I had the Elevens for 6 months, found the longer hybrids poor quality. I now use driver, 3 wood, 7 wood set at 5 to open it, 2 hybrid and 5 hybrid (Ai Smoke), 7-GW in game improvement and Vokey 54 and 60, much improved gapping, and as i play a windy golf course, it gives me different flight options. A pal who also purchased the elevens, low single figure golfer swears by them, but is gradually integrating traditional clubs into the bag. Problems with rough, short game, flight options were increasingly an issue. So in my view work out which clubs you struggle with, and try the hybrids, but inside 130 yards traditional irons are more flexible, or at least we found that to be the case.
I bought the 11 hybrid irons about six months ago and this year I went from a 22 handicap. I am down to a two handicap.
Yeah right !
@@LeslieGreenwood-bu9tn, with the WHS you must have played a shed load of rounds , but I doubt it.
Alex, great video as always! I am gaming the Eleven Hybrids (3-PW) and absolutely love them! They are long, forgiving, produce a great ball flight, and are the easiest clubs I have ever hit. Thanks for doing another video w/ Eleven....you need to test their Driver next!!
Glad you like them! I saw that same thing with this all flight
I wish these were more affordable. Every season I tend to lose my swing for a few weeks and these would be great to have to build confidence again.
I went Lazarus route, cheaper but I love them… 4-gap carry a gap and sand wedge for 75 yards and under…. Along with driver I love the set
What's your age and swing speed roughly? Interested in the lazrus route ad well but don't want to short myself if the eleven are better suited for faster swing speeds
I got the Lazrus hybrids about 2 years ago. Within the 1st month or so, I had bagged my then best 84. Good for a hacker that’s normally in the mid to upper 90’s.
An excellent video. I’m a 23 handicapper who struggles to get irons airborne so I have been giving these hybrid irons some thought. I have watched a few reviews on them but the issue I have is they are all done by professional golfers who are always going to get the best out of them. What I would like to see is a review by a high handicapper (20+) to see what they think of them
I use Cleveland hybrid irons though the lower the number the more like a normal iron they get. I love them. Speaking of hybrids ever think of testing the original hybrid the Adam's Tightlie?
I'm new to golfing. One of the first videos I watched was on RAM hybrid irons. Because I don't play that often, I didn't want to spend a ton, so I bought the set of hybrids. I've finally gotten my swing under control. When I hit them, they fly! My only question is ball placement. I don't know if you need to place them more forward or keep the ball more center to right of center
I brought the eleven set 3 to PW also the wedges I love them. Getting more distance then my Mizuno JPX Hot-metal HL. The other day, I hit a PW about 147 yards.
I use hybrid irons. I hit them about a club length more than I do my old irons. I’ve switched recently and the more I play the better I gauge my distances and the better I hit my chips and shots 65 yards in. Thank you for your review.
I have a full set of hybrid irons, 4 through SW ... Absolutely love them ... The SW and PW are funky looking but play great
Totally agree! Hard to
Play out the bunker 🤣🤣
I play regular irons and a set of Cobra T-Rails, because I love playing all sorts of clubs. The T-Rails are routinely shorter than other irons.
Great video thank you 👍🏻
Well impressed with those Elevens ,Mottram Hall looks in amazing condition need to come up for a round
I currently play to a 12.6 Index, and I have been using hybrid irons for about five years now.
who cares what people say, if they improve your game and enjoyment then pop them in the bag....and what club did you use on last hole out of the bunker? Great video btw.
Surely, at the end of the day, i don't care how they sound, or look, if i hit the shots straighter and further and more consistently, which i do with them.
Great video comparing the two, however I am not sure I could cope with the loft on the hybrids. When addressing them it looks like the ball could go straight up your left nostril. Good test but not for me much prefer the traditional irons
8 clubs in my bag are hybrids that I paid 5 dollars each for. One person's trash is another person's treasure. I find them much easier to hit than traditional irons, and kind of like having a mismatched set of "weird" clubs.
I am really interested in these clubs, but bought a set of G425 irons last fall. They only have a half dozen rounds in them. Would like to see what the 3i yardage is to see if it could kick the 3w out of the bag.
I’m actually thinking that when I buy new irons next winter of starting at six iron and carrying hybrids instead of four and five iron. John Daly starts his irons at six iron! Ping usually start the G430’s at six when selling sets. Lofts are so strong there’s no need for a five iron. Better off putting a hybrid in the bag.
What would be your choice the Eleven or Lazrus hybrids?
I would have to say Eleven at the minute
currently playing Stealth 2 HD 9 degree Driver / Cleveland Hywood 3+ 17 degree / Qi10 Max 7 wood 22 degree / Stealth 2 hd hybrids 3 and 5 / Stealth irons 5 - SW / Taylormade spyder GT putter I am wanting to get a Qi10 Max 3 wood
And next year i am lookin at the Wilson Dynapower Forged irons maybe cheers all from Canada
Only a few years ago better players were expected to play blades. Now, check the bags of many tournament professionals! Still, I see many handicap players trying to play with unsuitable clubs.
Are the lengths standard?
The TGI shafts are amazing
11:42 i also saw on utube a review of another set of iron hybrids by lazarus. Can you do a head to head of eleven versus lazarus?
As a high handicapper, most rounds I play driver, 6 or 7 iron and then sw and have never found anything to plug the driver to 6 gap. Would you recommend an Eleven 3, 4 or 5 to add to my bag? Is the 3 as hard to hit as a normal 3 iron?
Try a ping sft 7 wood. It's the only club I've ever picked up and tried that literally felt like cheating.
I play 7w 9w 26 and 30° hybrids and generally shoot high 80s low 90s and that's without being particularly athletic or skilled.
How about a 9 hole Vlog using the hybrids?
great idea
Would love to try the hybrids out here in Thailand.
I game XXIO hybrids 4 > 8. They are definitely 1.5 clubs longer than my irons. I still carry 6i>PW as well. Depends on the shot I want to play.
Edit my HC Index is 10.3
I would like see to Elevens vs Cleveland hybrid irons. Elevens cost nearly $2x. Are the 2x better?😅😅😅
Inhave had mine for 7 weeks I have moved from a 24 to 17!! no bullshit and i know it is summer (sort of !!) but these are great clubs
Betting on the eleven hybrid
I appreciate your reviews especially hybrid irons. I tried the Elevens but after two range sessions, they were no better than the Wazaki hybrid irons. I got the Wazaki hybrids due to a sore shoulder. My regular irons, though forgiving, were causing me pain if not hit properly. The Wazakis were better than I could believe even though they look strange. So I tried to return the Elevens but you can’t if you remove the packaging. So I sold them and got most of my money back. Disappointed because the Eleven hybrids are well made. The KBS shafts are great and the grips are ok. The lack of a chance to test them is difficult since they only are in UK (I’m in US). I had high hopes for the Elevens. CZcams influencers who are teaching pros or much better golfers have been high on the Elevens for the last few months. But they can hit any club well. Yet they all say how much they enjoy the Elevens but will not game them. So I’m sharing my experience as I am convinced that I need to move to all hybrid clubs to replace my irons except wedges. The new Paradym Fast Max 7 & 8 hybrids are fantastic. I wish they made the 9&pw. The Paradyms are 3 times the cost of the Elevens is the only downside. Again love your reviews and instructions.
i would never consider it, probably a mix of Ego and the fact that my hybrid is by far the hardest club to hit in my bag when it comes to dispersion (TM M1)
Why wouldn't you compare loft to loft?
I bought a 5 hybrid from eleven. I chose a “senior” shaft and got a 60 gram rock. It is impossible for me to use this club. Unfortunately. So I cannot decide for a full set.
Why can't you use it?
@@raymondbooth3189 the shaft is much to stif for me. I currently have 50 gram shaft ( Callaway Roque senior flex). The eleven feels rock hard, and I leave the shots to the right.
Nice idea all hybrids, but we dont want to see you put out, just show us the distance and maybe out of the rough please
You didn’t test the short game with the hybrids, and that’s their weakness along with 200-230 yards out
Mid -high golfers don’t make their decisions on sound and aesthetics. In my opinion. If they work well and give us confidence, results and the ability to compete then sound and the look take a step back ..
I got my set because I cannot for the life of me hit an iron. Switched to Lazrus 4-pw and I can hit all of them well. I’m not looking for the spin and touches, I’m looking to just hit the ball straight.
Eleven’s are hybrids/woods . Not irons . Surely ..
To many definitive conclusions from too small a data sample. Because the 7 iron is two clubs shorter than the hybrid doesn't make hybrids a better choice. What's critical in a set is consistency, predictability, and dispersion. You need to have consistent distance between clubs in a set. Dispersion as small as possible. And predictable results. Just hitting it further is only valuable in a driver. Every other club is used to fill a gap. So the clubmaker tunes the set to produce the smallest gaps possible.
Regardless how good they are, I suspect that you aren't going to put them in the bag. Even looked a bit like you didn't give it your best with the hybrids to finish
If the hybrids come out on top .. why would any one with any common sense not use them ?
Ego
Ego and image. Everybody is too scared to lose social cred
It's funny, I play 5 and 6 hybrids and high lofted fairways and my ego loves it when I beat people using them.
We want a pro to use for a month .
You must be paid by the company. I bought one of these and they are no good. Try them before buying.
I wish i was paid 😂😂
Im so sorry, I love the content you offer and I try, really try, but you talk way too much and I cant make ot through your videos
Talk and discussion of what Alex is thinking is the key. Way more than the video itself. His tips, assessments are often extremely helpful and spot on.
Keep doing your think Alex.
Sorry !
