When I am really depressed, out of energy, money, all of that, I can always count on one thing. I watch her first audition. I cannot say how often I have seen it, but always with the same absolute respect for this Woman. She knew her voice, but also terrible pain most cannot even comprehend. She carried her head high, walking out there, ready to bare her soul. To have had such a hard life, yet be able to rise with the wind, to the top of the Mountain........Susan is a champion. I feel a kinship, maybe a genetic tie, to you, Susan. You are a Hero in my book, not only for your ability to give the World a precious gift, but to keep to your roots and not let the rise become a fall. You did not have a downfall, you rose and rode the wind, and stopped when it was time to work on other important challenges. So Thank you, Dear Soul, I am sending a big prayer to you and hope you are well.

She is a devout Catholic and there’s nothing wrong with believing in God and having religious beliefs no matter what religion you believe in, plus she’s Autistic and found out late in life. Anyway, what’s wrong with being Catholic?

However, it is not uncommon for bullies to try to suck up to people who later become rich and pretend to be "old friends", just to either show off to their current acquaintances, or to scrounge money.

I’m 71 & I was slow at learning but no one bullied me. I had good teachers & a good school. I was very tiny . As I got older I learned quicker my subjects. I also had a fantastic mother & later a fantastic stepfather. I hate she had to endure the situations she went thru. No one needs to b abused.

I am a 69-year-old grandmother from the USA. Susan became my hero the moment she stepped onto the stage of Britain's Got Talent. She is an inspiration to all who have been through so much adversity. Not everyone is able to overcome his/her past. Even when presenting a happy mask to the world, the pain is still there in the quiet moments. I hope that one day, she will realize that her past does not define her. She has helped so many people while going through so much pain. Thank you, Susan, for being who you are💖

Thank you for showing us so much about Susan Boyle she is truly an amazing woman and her voice when I first heard it on AGT I went wow because so many people are so critical about the way somebody else looks rather than knowing that person in what may have gone on in their life to catapult them to Desperate Measures at times and her true kindness and her love in her sweetness and her sincerity shown through in that performance and I was blown away by it I teared up because some people are very cruel but yet when you get to know somebody she is truly a beautiful beautiful person and what a story and what a story to have been told you did an excellent job bringing out all the parts of Susan Boyle it was really terrific thank you so much I enjoyed it

This is the first time I've heard so much about Susan Boyle's life and career. I'm impressed by her strength of character. The negative events in her life are part of what made her strong. It's very unfortunate that those things happened to her but she overcame all of that. She triumphed and it's wonderful that she looked past the negativity aimed at her and lived her life her way.
