    Thanks for showing us your process. I thought at first you were going to do a negative painting technique on the background. It turned out lovely. I love your use of color! Great subject too!

    Thank you so much for sharing your process with us ! It amazing watching this piece come to life! I follow you on fb and Instagram and love your work- absolutely stunning. Your portraits are so incredibly beautiful too! I saw the photo of the woman painting you are teaching in let’s face it 2020- it’s incredible! So detailed yet somehow loose(?) at the same time. She is breathtaking. May I ask, was she painted on hot or cold pressed paper? Do you favour one over the other for your portraits? Incredibly sorry for all the questions!       so sorry to take so long to reply! I usually paint on cold pressed paper I prefer it although hot pressed is good for fine detailed portraits
