    Couple of observation (*not mine) that people had during this movie
    1. During bridge scene there was symbolical representation of events ,Bheem responsibilty was to save Malli (a kid) which he transfer to Ram while Ram was to save Country which he transfer to Bheem represented by Flag
    2. Finale scene have some Star Wars: A new hope influence.The compound was like a death star and they attacked the waste management system through a motorcycle to destroy Death Star

    Tollywood = Telugu language movies

    Kollywood = Tamil language movies
    Sandalwood = Kannada language
    Mollywood = Malayalam language etc there are a lot of movie industries in India based on the languages.

    If you wanna see more Indian movies, I have some suggestions 😊
    1. "Bahubali - The Beginning" [2015] and "Bahubali - The Conclusion" [2017] : These are the most loved films in India!! BAHUBALI 2 is the highest grossing movie in Indian box office!! 😃! And it's fu*kin* better than RRR !!! [N.B. - both Bahubali and RRR are directed by S S Rajamouli]
    2. "3 Idiots" [2009, Hindi] : This is an all time classic movie, it's from Bollywood, it's a comedy drama , and probably the most known Indian movie outside India [except RRR for now]
    3. EEGA [2012, Telugu] : Again a Rajamouli movie 😄. EEGA is about a fly taking revenge from a human! I bet you'll be blown away by the concept and its execution!!
    4. Anniyan [2005] : the oldest in this list , but one of the best movies in India. It's a Tamil language movie [from Kollywood]
    5. "KGF Chapter 1" and "KGF Chapter 2" : I don't really want to recommend these, 'cause I didn't like them that much. But they're very popular in India, so you'll probably get many requests from others to watch KGF...
    6. "PK" [2014] : One of the most controversial movies, since it directly criticizes religions 🙂. But the movie is fantastic!!!
    □●□ Some other suggestions are "Jersey [2019, Telugu]" ; "Sardar Udham [2021, Hindi]" ; "777 Charlie [2022, Kannada]" ; "My Name Is Khan [2010, Hindi]" ; "DRISHYAM [2013, Malayalam] and DRISHYAM 2 [2021]"-{these two are remade in Hindi also with same name, so don't get confused , watch the original ones} ; "Rorschach [2022, Malayalam]" ; and the recent blockbuster "KANTARA [2022, Kannada]", although I don't think you'll understand Kantara, since it's very much rooted to Indian cultures and cults.
    There're many more, but I think these are enough for next few months 😅😊.

    Also please don't mind the negative comments in your previous video reaction. Some Indians don't understand that one can enjoy a movie while smiling/laughing/talking too! They'll get around to it once they get used to it 😂 Love your honest reactions. Don't change it for anything or anyone. You guys are amazing!

  • @dr.khwajarafi9464
    @dr.khwajarafi9464 Před rokem +45

    Few easter eggs and fun facts of RRR:
    1) Both the characters Raju and Bheem were inspired from 2 real indian freedom fighters and revolutionists from indian history, Alluri seeta rama raju from andhra pradesh and Komuram bheem from telangana, ie, from the two telugu speaking states, in history both of them Raju and bheem were from same timeline but never met each other in reality, in original history they both went missing for 4 years during this 1920 time period, no one knows where they went and what they did, but after 4 years they both returned to their villages and fought their own fights and both sacrificed their lives for our country, Director rajamouli hv woven a fictional story that what happens if they met each other, and exchange their ideas and ideologies in the time period they went missing... That's how this movie was born.... This movie is about India's freedom from british rule, this movie was about friendship between 2 states...
    2) When bahubali was released many people began to nitpick about small things in the movie, they began to look for flaws, one such flaw which was pointed out by many people is the iconic scene where prabhas makes the huge jump in the waterfall, many pointed out that he should take a run up to make such a huge jump, instead he just jumps from the edge, thats the reason y in RRR When ram and bheem meet for the 1st time, to rescue the kid under the bridge while they jump down the bridge they take a run up in rajamouli style with a horse n a bike🤣🤣 guess what rajamouli learns from his mistakes, even in the same scene we can see ram charan takes a flag dips it in the water n makes it wet before he throws it to jr NTR, so that when jr NTR wraps it around it won't catch fire 🔥🔥... The imagination n brilliance of rajamouli sir🔥🔥 Respect👍👍
    3) Unlike many other indian movies which involve english actors, in RRR we find the performances of english actors far better, that's because rajamouli approached professionals, the one who played Scott is "Ray Stevenson" one who acted in "Thor" movies, one who played lady Scott is "Alison doody" the lead actress from indiana jones....
    4) The sets u can see in nacho nacho or naatu naatu song, the palace behind is actually President's palace in Ukraine..After finishing the movie n returning to india, war was started in ukraine....
    5) When ram captures bheem's clan member, he catches a snake n attacks ram even though he is tied, that man catching the snake is justified coz they r gond tribals, they know everything abt every animal, how to trap and catch them, n how to treat animal attacks using natural ayurvedic remedies, since they were born n brought up in jungle along with those animals n plants, that's how even jr NTR is able to tame n control the animals during interval sequence....
    6) That song jr NTR sings while being whipped "komaram bheemudo", *few* non indian and north indian audience may find the song lil distasteful because they r unaware of the importance of the song, the gond tribe (the telangana people) who faced many tortures under the nijam rule, hv developed a habit of singing folklore songs explaining their pain n oppression for years, these songs kind of made those people stronger n revolt against nijams, similarly at the end of the song people revolt, even now a days these songs r famous in Telangana area, we andhra n telangana people r familiar with such songs, but north indian n non indian audience may not hv any idea abt it, even the song komaram bheemudo was written by one of the famous revolutionary singer from telangana area, if u concentrate on the lyrics of the song we can feel the oppression his people r facing....
    7) the subtext or easter egg about the "Barbed whip" that lady scott threw to torture jr NTR is that in the climax when the Scott's empire blows up when lady scott died we can see her body hanging in "Barbed wires" implying that she finally got what she deserved.... "karma is a bitch"🤭🤭🤣
    8) near the climax when jr NTR knocks on the floor to find ram who was imprisoned in the ground, he actually knocks the same beats of Nacho Nacho song, so that only ram charan could recognise it's him rather than other possible prisoners, ram charan also reciprocates by knocking the same beat of nacho nacho, even in the earlier scene when ram charam is bit by snake he plays the same beats to communicate with jr NTR, the cinematic brilliance of rajamouli for using a song in so many ways giving easter eggs all the way around is lit🔥🔥🔥 hatsoff to rajamouli 🙏
    9) In a scene where they show the security measures of the palace they had 2 doors at entrance, only after closing the 1st door they will open 2nd door, if we observe both the doors clearly and also if we listen to the creek sounds of both doors, we would know the outer door is a wooden one, and the inner door is a metal one, so to rescue malli they can break the outer door but they can't break the inner door, that's the reason y the character jhangu climbs a tree and listens for the 2nd door to open to rescue malli in interval scene... Every small detail in this movie is well planned and well executed...
    10) the scene about bheem carrying ram in the climax sequence may seem a bit overemphasized, but even earlier in the film in dosti song there was a shot giving easter eggs, where we can see jr ntr doing squats on the ground lifting ram charan, then ram charan does pull ups holding a tree branch, this way rajamouli is planting an idea subconsciously to his audience that jr ntr got lower body strength n ram charan got upper body strength... So that audience get convinced during the climax scene where bheem carries ram... Even the scene seems physically impossible, rajamouli never hesitates to show his ideas n imaginations in the most convincing way possible, that scene may be impossible but u could never find any other director pulling of such a scene in any film like rajamouli... Respect....
    11) The same way In climax fight sequence bheem lifting a bike looks over the top for sure, but do u know those bikes were actually used during second world war time so that in any unforeseen situation during war the soldiers can actually carry the bikes, those bikes weight around 55kgs only, i agree that even 55 kg bike travelling at 50kmph velocity is difficult to be lifted... But look at the way it was imagined, presented,picturized, the mesmerising cinematography in that scene, the kind of goosebumps it gave us, we should watch the movie for its epicness, rather than being nitpicky about everything....
    12) At the climax that transformation of ram charan🔥🔥, many people thought that was sree ram's avatar, there are many indian purana's references to the movie for sure but its not only sree ram's avatar, it is also about the original look of Alluri seeta rama raju (the freedom fighter ram charan was playing), alluri seeta rama raju in history was well learnt man who wears those kashayam clothes fights with bow n arrows, probably the best archer india has ever had, he fought against britishers he got weapons n guns by attacking police stations n british camps, he used the same weapons to attack britishers with his trusted men... Even he was shot dead by britishers in the freedom struggle... Legend says that britishers put around 100 bullets in his body n ruthlessly killed him... At the end of the film rajamouli showed ram n bheem in their original looks ram wearing kashayam clothes, with long hair n beard, bheem with a pagdi on his head n those clothes gond people used to wear...
    13) the final RRR fact, For the interval sequence with animals rajamouli shot for around 65 nights, each night they spent around 75lakhs for the shoot itself... In that interval sequence they had to imagine animals were there n fight accordingly, for that to happen n so that each n every background artist to be in sync with the CG animals rajamouli employed different tactics while shooting which were not even used in Hollywood movies,
    a) for bear they used a person wearing green blanket, since the movement of bear is slow similar to a human being...
    b)For shots with tiger, tiger moves much faster than humans, so they can't just place a human with green blanket, so rajamouli positioned laser lights following the head position of the tiger, so that camera man n actors can imagine the position of tiger n act accordingly.
    c) for wolves they used dogs which were trained to catch a ball, while shooting the sequence they randomly throw the balls in middle of men, so the dogs chase the balls, in that way rajamouli captured peoples reactions to wolves, later on during CG he replaced the dogs with wolves...
    d) for other fast moving animals like deers, they used remote controlled cars moving in between the actors....

    You should definitely watch the Baahubali series (1 &2) next... An absolute masterpiece of Indian cinema done by the same director of RRR, SS Rajamouli (the legend of Indian cinema)! It was his previous work before RRR. & Ram's attire at the climax was like Lord Ram, so he has been basically portrayed as a Lord Ram look enlighting from behind! ❤ & also there are many references in this movie depicted from our ancient epic Ramayana (the story of Lord Ram) like Ram-Seetha, Bheem has been portrayed like Pavanputra Hanumanji etc. which is pretty difficult for foreigners to presume. & yeah its not a Bollywood (Hindi language) movie, its a Tollywood (Telugu language) movie dubbed in other 4 regional languages including Hindi (the majority language) where all the actors have dubbed their own voices & Ram's father (Ajay Devgan) literally acted speaking Hindi as he belongs to Bollywood (Hindi) & doesn't know Telugu, so here you heard his actual shooting time voice (although Alia Bhat who played the Seetha character also belongs to Bollywood but she acted speaking Telugu).

    32:29 storyboards
    one thing i learned while working for some south movies is they are really good at story boarding. they show the entire cast storyboard then they give each individual actor the script to read. usually it's other way around you get the script then you decide whether you want to show up for reading table.
    in south they first ask who is making the movie (director) then they ask when is the reading table day. on that day they show the story board slides then each actor gets script to read while they go back home. there was this movie called radhe shyaam for which i was present to witness all this process that's how i know.

    RRR was the working title. The director and the two lead actors are legends in the southern Indian film industry and each of their names has the letter R in it.
    Later they decided to keep it. In English the letters RRR stand for Rise Rage Revolt.
    This movie was made in 5 or 6 languages and the letters RRR mean something pertinent to each language.

    Just for your information, There're a lot of references in the movie from the ancient Indian/Hindu Epics RAMAYANA and MAHABHARATA , specially in the last 40 minutes. In the last fight , they literally show the fight of RAM & HANUMAN [represented by Bheem here] vs Raavana [direct reference to Ramayan!]. Rajamouli is hugely inspired by the ancient stories of our country, it can be seen in every scene!!
    You could've enjoyed it much more, if you knew these fantastic references and symbolisms.

    Firstly , welcome you guys to indian cinema.
    Well Bollywood is like the main street cinema like Hollywood , but this movie is from an arguably equally bigger tollywood , from the southern parts of india .
    This movie is like the next big thing from "Bahubali"(you should watch both parts of it , if you haven't) franchise series . This movie features two of the more common but very good actors from the southern India region . Ram Charan sir(That indian British guy who's evil at first looks like but is good ) and NT Rama Rao jr ( the natural hero ). These two individuals movie alone are very good . Combined then with awesome screen play , writting , and the best director S.S Rajamoli ( like Sam Raimi , a great director ,for reference had in my mind ) and voila you get RRR the perfect beast of a movie . It took over 5 years to make this i guess . The set is unreal . The dialogues are insane . This actually probably broke that already huge record and made more box office collection. Let's go! Love the reaction , you guys . I hope you get many cultural regional references to enjoy this movie to its fullest .

  • @whakjob
    @whakjob Před rokem +3

    about the point of Ram needed to have that dark side and do things like his enemies: I feel that is why the English are portrayed as so cartoonish evil and one dimensional, now the real history is not far from the truth as the British were really that bad but they way they did things would have been a bit more nuanced. However I feel if the villains were given a bit more shades of grey then we would start to question the bad things Ram and Bheem did as well as they did kill a lot of folks lol, The director is very capable of writing complex villains and honestly if he is given a chance to do a star wars show I think he will do a great job and will make things more grounded, but for this particular story the super Evin "white" folk was very apt.

    Thanks for your reaction to RRR guys 🙏 .. Though you seemed to like the movie overall, you did sound a smidgen dismissive / condescending about the over the top action scenes and were critical to the realistic probabilities of some scenes [ironically Hollywood churns out more outlandish & Woke trash year after year that ends up getting rave reviews and an occasional Oscar 😜]. Not being rude guys, just opining .✌

    You need to understand that Indian cinema is very diverse and mind numbingly varid in it's subject matters and cultural approach from different linguistic regions. If you are looking for realism and for you to be able to really appreciate the depth and scope of Indian cinema, you must watch and react ''live'' to the once in a lifetime and historically accurate movie ''SARDAR UDHAM'' .. It will just rip your soul . Hope you do take this suggestion seriously and I guarantee you, neither you nor your audience will be disappointed. It hits Indians different coz we know the actual history of these characters. Especially Telugu PPL from where this movie came from. Alluri seetha ramaraju and komaram Bheem, the leads in this movie were actual freedom fighters and both attained martyrdom very early in their lives , around 25 years of age.
    Both were born around the same time and both left their home at around same times, so around 3-4 yrs of their life is completely undocumented.
    The director used to this period and spun a fictional tale what if they met during this time and inspired each other.
    Ram's final costume is the famous costume alluri has been immortalized in. That was given by Bheem in this movie
    And Bheem's famous words which were written on the flag in the end were given by ram in this movie.
    This movie hits just different when you have grown up hearing the stories of these legends and then see them play out on screens like badass superheros.❣️🔥🌟
