The Cetaphil Redness Reducing 'night' cream is a HG for me. I love it so much, I have never cared for the classic Cetaphil line but this is great. I use tretinoin and I find that it sinks in so well, it works even for the morning imo

Truly comprehensive, and very well presented. It’s been a minute since I used Cetaphil but I’m going to revisit them for my ultra dry skin. TYVM

Thank you for an amazing video! I've recommended the Redness Relief moisturizer to so many of my students, they are surprised at how well it works! Lightweight, helps acne, and reduces discoloration. Love the SPF 50 Mineral sunscreen, it's an underrated gem! It checks all the boxes, affordable, accessible, sweat resistant, application is a gem, it doesn't pill over skin care, and foundation applies beautifully over it. My skin looks so smooth and hydrated. I took it with me on a trip to FL and didn't get burned.

I would love it if you could do a budget favorites for basic skincare and body care. Drugstore products are often much more expensive than they used to be. It'd be good to know what products are effective, cosmetically elegant, and still available at good price. Even drugstore products like la Roche posay and bioderma aren't always affordable. Just an idea

I love the Deep Hydration Cream (the one with the bluish gray top). I use a thin layer before my retinol and a thicker layer after; it’s been a lifesaver for my skin.

I enjoy your informative videos. Would you please do a video for mascaras for sensitive eyes?
I believe you mentioned you use waterproof products on your eyes. Do you think waterproof mascara would be helpful for sensitive eyes? How would you remove waterproof mascara?

I also love the basic Cetaphil moisturizer. I use 2 Cetaphil cleansers. My HG, almost everyday cleanser is their basic non-foaming gentle skin cleanser. I usually don’t wear makeup or layers of waterproof sunscreen so it does a great job for me. This summer i started using the gentle clear bha cleanser in the morning, just around my nose and chin. Generally my skin is dry so I could only tolerate it a few times a week but it really helped catch any mild breakouts I could feel coming. Next summer, I might try the gentle clear moisturizer instead, it’s got lower % bha and hydrating so I might be able to use it daily. I’ve never loved any of their spf in the past but the sheer mineral sunscreen sounds like it is worth a try. Thanks

By basic cetaphil moisturizer, do you mean their moisturizing lotion?

Great video! Thank you! I have rosacea and super-sensitive skin. I am reluctant to try products which contain PEG's due to the conflicting information regarding the risk of PEG's. Dr. Lu, what is your opinion regarding PEG's in skin care products?

Thanks for sharing. I don’t demonize a particular ingredient because it’s all about formulation that really ultimately matters.

I would love to know what you think of the newer Cetaphil cream in a tub, which contains Niacinamide. Unfortunately,
the lotion irritates me. I have dry, super sensitive skin...I don't need a moisturizer in the morning. My sunscreen provides enough. I do double cleanse and use a Retinol at night.
And how would you compare Cetaphil's gentle/foamy cleanser and cream to Vanicream's - without Niacinimide (I know you spoke briefly about it but I think you were referring to the lotion - without Niacinamide. I can't tolerate any of their lotions. I've used Vanicream products for years and they have worked well but was making the switch because my skin seems dull and was hoping the Niacinimide would help. Hope you can respond.

Did I miss your list of favorite fragrance-free cleansing balms for sensitive skin??
Great reviews! Funny, I break out from everything Cerave and I can’t use the Vanicream lotion on my face, only the cream…
I noticed you didn’t mention the regular Cetaphil cream and the other gentle cleanser (non foaming). Reason???? Would love to hear your view…Cheers.

Hi Dr Liu :) I was wondering if the dermacontrol spf 30/moisturizer would be okay for dry, sensitive skin (though its targeted towards oily skin)? It just seems to be an affordable sunscreen available in my area that I'd love to look into!

Why highlight that something is paraben-free? Sodium benzoate and phenoxyethanol irritate me.

    • @manojipereira9169
      @manojipereira9169 Před 10 měsíci +2

Brands highlight "paraben free" for products because pseudoscience misinformation claims they're unsafe, so it's a marketing tactic rather than helping people with allergies.
