Hi, in Genesis we see that God ended His creation week by resting on the seventh day, the Sabbath. It's the only day that God blessed and hallowed. The Sabbath is a very particular day with deep significance for all of His followers. It's a sign of our allegiance and belonging to God and an acknowledgement of His ownership.

@@captainafrica5385 John 20:1 "The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre." All agree that Christ rose on the first day of the week. This same first day has been tracked and followed since that time, and is the day we now refer to as "Sunday". This name "Sunday" was added later, but we are certain that it represents the first day of the week.
You will really find no argument amongst scholars that Saturday is the 7th day, and Sunday the first.
Technically, according to the BIble, a day goes from sunset to sunset, so 7th day is Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, and the 1st day is Saturday sunset to Sunday sunset.

Around two years ago i did see the letter the Pope had written to the Protestants asking to please consider changing the Sabbath to Sunday but i feel so dumb for not writing it down from which Pope but i think it was Leo and the date was around 640 or 1640 ad and if i run across it again i will show a link.Thank you so much for bringing this to light as so many never even questioned it including me until i noticed how the Jews still knew to celebrate on Saturday along with our Lord always knowing that the evil one would creep into the church and change it someday which is why he stated Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy.Awesome video.

The world has changed the Sabbath and made it very difficult for the true seeker of Almighty God to observe it. We know that God will return it to it's true state and we must mentally prepare ourselves by submitting to it quietly, and without fuss...just be ready for that great and wonderful day when all those to be saved are saved. If Wormwood is now here, the renewal of the Sabbzth is not far away.

I had a dear friend ask me why I didn't believe that Sunday was the new Sabbath and I told him that the Sabbath isn't part of the Levitical Law, but the Eternal Law, equal in importance to the other 9 Commandments. The Levitical Law does spell out specific details of daily life on certain days, but are subsections to The Law.
It must be clearly understood, that Christ is our actual Sabbath Rest, which provides meaning to His invitation to ...come unto Him all who are weary and He will give them rest... .
Hi @user-fv5ms4sz8e, The Sabbath is definitely still binding, but if we read Ex 20:8 we see that God says "Remember the Sabbath Day". The Sabbath is a specific day each week that God blessed and hallowed as a special sign between us and Him.
@@HopeProphecy yes, I agree totally, but I also believe that every day through Christ is Sabbath rest and sacred. That our responsibility with our piety and reverence are not legalistic, but eternal, every moment of every day. We can add more focus to this on the Sabbath day, but I'm convinced that Christ Himself is our focus every day. I rest in Christ, not a day and I rest in Christ every day.

Hi @Rosiedelaroux, what man chooses to do on a Sabbath doesn't take away from the fact that God did not change the Sabbath day. It's His day that He blessed and hallowed at creation and only He has authority to change it, and He didn't, even while on earth. Now He invites us to keep it holy.

It’s the only commandment that starts with remember u can also look up when it was changed it was 325 years after Jesus died. Mark 2:27 The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. KJV
The safest version to use is the King James Version of the Bible. Each new version that is released has at least 20% of changes in order to not be infringing on copy rights. This means that with each new release the Bible is getting more and more diluted. The closer to the the original we can stay the more accurate the Bible.
The Sabbath was created by God in Eden at the end of the creation week as a sign and symbol. It's the only day that He made holy. When on earth Jesus kept the Sabbath and so did His disciples after Him. The Sabbath remains binding. It's the special sign that shows we belong to Him.
Plz tell me how we will keep the Sabbath in heaven if it will be eternity,no Day cycle, since it's eternity, and how will we know it's Sabbath since there will be no night.
That's a great question! To my understanding it will be the New Jerusalem (Capital city of heaven) that willl have no nights. The rest of the universe will continue to have the daily and weekly cycle, so, yes, we will continue to have the Sabbath day. Rev 21:23 reveals that it is the city that will have no need of the sun because God will illuminate it.

Hi @that1mexican_018, That’s a great question! If we look at Ex 20:8-11 God tells us that we have six days to do what we need to, but that the Sabbath day should be kept holy, or set apart, separated from the rest of the week as special. So avoiding doing on the Sabbath things that we’d normally do in the week allows us to enter into God’s rest and presence without unnecessary distractions.
Next we can look at the example of Jesus while He was here on earth and we see that on the Sabbath it was Jesus’s custom to go to church (synagogue) and worship God and fellowship with other believers. Luke 4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
He also taught us that the Sabbath is a day that we can be a blessing to others, especially because we don’t have the distraction of everything else we would normally do.
We also see examples of Jesus healing some people on the Sabbath.
You can also read through Isaiah 58. Here the Bible tells us that the Sabbath should be a delight, a day we look forward to as we can spend precious time with God and be a blessing to others.
As a last point we see in Exodus 16 that God fed the people of Israel in the desert with mana. Each day they got enough for just that day, anything kept over would rot and stink. But on Friday they received a double portion (because on Sabbath there was none) that did not spoil, but was kept wholesome for the Sabbath hours. God was trying to teach the people that the Sabbath day is different from the others and needs to be treated as such. Notice what the Bible says in Ex 16:22-26 - 22 And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. 23 Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ ” 24 So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it. 25 Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. 26 Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.”
So do all the necessary preparations before the Sabbath: cook, clean, iron, etc, so that the Sabbath will be a delight to you.

Moses made a interesting time distinction about when the Sabbath needed to be kept. Which Sabbath is to be observe when day breaks not on the evening like what the Jewish tradition practice. Please re-read Exodus 16. Also Yeshua reaffirms when the beginning of the day is. John 11:19
Hi @CDB-Now, if we look in Genesis at the creation story we see that God orders His days in the following way: and it was evening and morning the first day, etc. According to God the day starts the evening before. When the sun sets it's the end of the day and a new day starts.
@HopeProphecy I'm glad you brought up the creation week, this is actually proving that the Eveining does NOT start the beginning of a day. Please notice: Yahweh God already started creating something BEFORE He even mention Evening and Morning as a first day, this is simply because an Evening and morning its just part of a complete day(THERE'S NOTHING BEING CREATED DURING THIS TIME) And then, HE STARTS to create again after Morning, Before God mention the Evening comes to mark another...

The Sabbath is so important to GOD he put it in the ten commandments. Does he change any other commandments ? No actually if you listen to the video it gives you the reasons why we obey GODS commandments especially the Sabbath which a lot of people have trouble with .

Because I read the whole Bible! Acts 20:7 clearly states that the disciples of CHRIST broke bread on the first day of the week, and not on the Sabbath day
Hi @dvvbybeldanie8322, when we read in Acts 20:7 we see the disciples sharing a meal. This thought is repeated in verse 11. It is not refering to any celebration or honoring of a specific day. They were merely satisfying their hunger.
Clearly you don't know Scripture,for breaking bread is the instituted Communion by CHRIST, and if they still celebrated sabbath, they would have done this on that day and not on the LORD's Day!

No, god didn’t do that because there is no evidence god exists.

He thought it didn't matter either when it came to offering sacrifices to God. He said I can offer whatever I want, I get to choose, because God doesn't care. But God told him that he had sinned, and his Sacrifice was not ACCEPTED!
So, at the end of the day, we all have God given free will. But it behooves us to follow the will of God.

Hi @pepethepatriot7524, if the day didn't matter then God wouldn't have needed to take the time to bless and hallow one day and set it apart or include it in the 10 Commandments and ask us to remember and keep it.
The day does matter, if we want to follow God.
It impossible to set apart one day to worship God:
17 Pray without ceasing. 1 Thess 5:17 (KJV).
8 ...that I may DAILY perform my vows. Psalms 61:8 (KJV).
3 ...for I cry unto thee DAILY. Psalms 86:3 (KJV)
11 ...and searched the scriptures DAILY, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 (KJV)
The day of rest commandment is to ensure that ALL get one day of rest in seven, right down to the oxen of the field. It is to prevent from being oppressed or oppressive.
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Mark 2:27 (KJV). And this is done in order, not chaos, it is not designed to shut down the nation, world, or indeed the heavens, once every week, (the ten commandments span the three heavens). Ones day off is according to ones job, tasks, or need.

Don't say it is impossible. What does God say? He set it apart. He sanctified it. Those Scriptures you referenced are not speaking about the Sabbath day. Worship is every day, but there is one day that has been set apart and continues to be.
You made some good points there but I don't think you're considering that duty is different from a command, your Christian duty of study and worship and alms are required of you, to have no other God or not worshipping images or not killing those were orders given from our God, neither of these are optional but your duty is considered individually, the command is considered as a whole, if you're guilty of one you are of all.
Hi @lonecar144, I don't believe that the creators of Apple would accept anyone coming along and deciding that they would just change the look and the OS of an Apple product. If we don't like Apple we simply choose another product. We don't try change it. So why do we try do that with God?
God has left us free to choose. But if we choose Him then we need to acknowledge His way and follow Him on His terms and not ours.
