Getting Started with Pages on the Mac, iPad, and iPhone

Have you ever opened Apple's Pages to create a word processing document or page layout document and you weren't sure where to start? Along with Numbers, I personally believe Pages is the easiest word processor and page layout program to use. In this class I'll take a look at the difference between a word processing document and page layout document, how to add objects and wrap text around objects, how you can format objects and text, and more. I'll be primarily looking at it on the Mac, but I will also show how it works on the iPad and iPhone.

I am so confused as to how to work with you. My question is how to send document or page layout to a friend without the second part (format, layout,,text) being printed also.

Q. How can I cut & paste a TEXT on messages to Pages Doc on my IPadAir 5th Gen, Version 16. 5.1. Cannot select text unfortunately. TU 😊

Title was misleading. I’m sure but not by intention. This did not start from basics but just jumped right into complicated things like brochures or a book. Not easy to find a basic youtube vide on pages for ipad starting from scratch with a blank page-something as simple as how to create page breaks or add pages. People who live in this world (i.e.you) forget how much they know and take for granted . And sorry, but IPAD is very different than working on a MAC. FOr example your “Add page” icon for mac is not there for the IPAD.

Hey can you tell me how to insert footnotes in my pages document in pages in ipad

When you have your Pages document open on the iPad, look for a paragraph symbol with a + above the virtual keyboard, or if you have an external keyboard, it will be at the bottom of the iPad. Tap on that to get to your footnotes. Hope it helps! 😊
