When comes to law and order ഇവിടെയൊരു പോലീസ് encounter ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടായാൽ അവരു നമ്മളെ sir/madam എന്നു അഭിസംബോധന ചെയുന്നത്. പിന്നെ corruption... അതൊന്നും ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല. നേരെ വാ നേരെ പോ. ഒരു emergency ക്കു 911 ഒകെ വിളിച്ചാൽ within minutes ഓടി എത്തും. എല്ലാത്തിനും മുകളിൽ ladies enjoy ചെയ്യുന്ന safety. വര്ഷങ്ങളായി ഞാൻ late night ആണ് work കഴിഞ്ഞു വരുന്നെ. ഒട്ടും പേടിക്കാതെ i can take public transportation, i can walk through streets... ഇതിൽ കൂടുതൽ എന്താണ് ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്കു വേണ്ടത്. ഇതൊന്നും നാട്ടിൽ നമ്മുക്ക് കിട്ടില്ല.

I'm with Vinu chettan and Sreekanth chettan on their opinion...If we ask the youths planning to go abroad for studies or work, their reason for choosing that, a huge percentage of them would say that, they just want to escape from the social conditions over here. Apart from the social activists, most of the young men and women here in our country do not even experience the freedom to share their views even within their families. From the perspective of a young woman from a middle class family I know how difficult it is to deal with all the irritating talks even on my basic right of dressing choices and many other things. This at certain points had affected my mental health, and in a society where mental health has least importance it is not that easy to survive. It is right that problems exist every where in this world, but I think that there are a number of countries where atleast we do not have to face so much of these mental frustrations for making personal choices. Maybe there are certain people here who have the privilege to share their views and make their personal choices with no fear, but lot of people still undergo problems with these and also with the delayed law and order actions. To be honest I would have had a second thought if i were to share this thought in a public space with elder people, so I think our views are confined to certain spaces mostly!!
