    I believe if u just main one character, the game will lose the interest fast. The incentive to have such huge rooster, is to learn to have fun possibly, with near all of them. I'm afraid Lucilius will not solve the problem.

      Agree. I built Rackam up because I knew I could macro and afk farm the game once he was strong to kit out the rest of the squad. Playing a melee after a 4rd burst Rackam has been super fun and satisfying.

      The issue is that maxing each character becomes an extremely repetitive grind because you just end up playing the exact same quests for mats, and this game doesn't have a very diverse enemy roster. Moreover, every character builds basically the exact same way due to DMG cap so a lot of the "uniqueness" of building a new character just isn't there.

      i guess the main problem i have is that im not necessarily bored of captain, so i dont feel the need to play other characters, im bored of the content that im playing against
      i have been pretty tempted to swap to zeta, but i realized that its not the captain gameplay loop that im bored of, its the 2x 2x stunlock that im bored of

      Tbh this isn't a live service game, I think you're supposed to quit when you finish everything once. You can go grind but you don't have to, but at least we're getting updates. This is their first game of this genre, I'm sure they'll figure it out

    You realize the next raid boss is going to be level 200 right?
    The devs are getting smashed. The challenge is coming, and just the thought of pugging that is nightmare fuel.
    Also, I don't think the devs included so many mechanic style equipment/skill options, just to make every boss fight a beat'em up.
    The groundwork is already laid for holy trinity setups, aggro management, coordinated debuffing, coordinated buffing within burst windows, etc.
    Up till now, we've been building mechanics, learning damage formulas, and defensive placement and techniques, but without any real pressure or difficulty.
    Once boss defense goes above base, atk up/ def down become relevant to meet damage checks, coupled with having to give up stacking only the best dps skills (with maybe 1 cc), which is all we've been doing up to this point.
    I firmly believe nothing in the current game will need to be tweaked once harder content is added.
    Thats exactly why they stated the base game was made so even filthy casuals could enjoy it, but the DLC would be for hardcore fans.
    The foreshadowing in the prerelease interviews indicates everything is going to get tougher from here.
    Starting with Lucilius is already insane. Not to mention, they could pluck the highest level threat from the franchise out of thin air, and make it the next boss at any time.
    We've got 8 days till even a team of 4 players with 3 supp V+ are gonna get wrecked if they don't play well.
    My only gripes with the game are the time between content updates, the lack of money I'm allowed to invest in the game to expedite that process, and the lack of cosmetics.
    The multiplayer on PS5 is shit, but that's more of a Sony multiplayer thing than a GBF thing (runs perfect on PC); i play both, so I feel the pain even though I usually don't play console games (Bought a PS5 originally just to get into the relink demo lol)(still can't believe Sony charges for playstation+ for multiplayer, when their network is clearly dogshit).
    And as far as the rates and afk farming go... I work a lot... like a lot a lot. Being able to auto the grind in a progressive way is nothing short of genius, and I can still hop in and do the endgame stuff with friends or have my power level normalized and farm badges while helping new players by autofilling their multiplayer queues. So many subtle, intricate things that just fall into balance. Genuinely feels like a team of real gamers got together, troubleshooted multiplayer issues, and made the game people have been wanting forever.
    And the rates don't matter. One thing all curio sigils have in common is that none of them are gray stat sigils. Meaning they can only come with defensive/qol secondaries, and while nice to have, are in no way needed. Again, a design choice that doesn't seem accidental. Now if only they would make gold badges more rewarding to incentivize farming them... with something like cosmetics that could be bought with badges or purchased with real money...

      im pretty new to the gbf community and franchise in general, so i wasnt aware that cygames had openly stated their intention for the base game being easy, with the dlcs being difficult! for me, it will have to be a “see it to believe it”, since i dont want to have false hope in an update that might be extremely disappointing.
      i kind of agree and disagree with the idea of how they approached the flexibility of the grind. i agree that its great that we can easily join friends and carry new players, but the idea of “afk farming” isnt something i paid $60 to do. that’s something i do on a f2p gacha game that i installed on my emulator
      i think its a failure on the reward design that you have to do so much low effort content to properly progress in a game that’s built like a boss rush. afk farming is fine, but it shouldnt be the main way that most non-mod players progress to the extreme late game

      @myaaniflakes Min-maxing isn't required for current progression though, and the benefits of min-maxing are purely qol and survivability based. The afk grinding isn't needed, and a traditional upgrade path exists and is functionally fine. You can farm all of your V+ sigils except Supplementary Damage V+, which again doesn't add anything build defining, all from farming proud stages which allow you to farm faster while actively playing and target the sigils you're looking for instead of rolling transmarvels forever. Having the ability to grind out materials and equipment at a slower pace (relative to game time) is not something found in only gacha games, but most new games in general. Whether you build a base and it generates items, or you plant crops to grow materials, or your character is AFK crafting all night long, this has been a staple of the mmorpg genre for a while now (even wow had afk crafting). Also, that gacha game you wouldn't pay $60 for exists purely because you wouldn't pay $60 for it. Game development has gotten increasingly expensive, with higher expectations, but the same new game price for over a decade in an economy rife with inflation. The money has to come from somewhere, microtransactions turned out to be a bigger hit than they should've, and now we have gaming socialism (ie: you don't have to pay for that game, someone else will pay for 100+ people to play the game). Gacha games get a lot of hate, some of it is deserved, but not all of the systems that come from them are bad, and the funding that went into developing them far exceeds traditional game development. You don't have to afk, you can farm manually and farm the materials manually, if that's what you want to do. If you want to do things efficiently, a combination of afk and non-afk farming is optimal. Regardless, it's a choice, not a requirement. Nothing in those curio boxes is going to clear content for you that you couldn't already clear. The game heavily emphasizes good play over gear. If you're already a good gamer, then yea, the starting content isn't going to scratch that itch, but I'll tell you one thing no one is talking about. The AOE Lucilius is spamming at the very start of the fight is hitting for 44k, and we're all limiting ourselves to staying under 45k hp. Wonder how that's gonna turn out

      @@EienRozenmin maxing isnt required but there’s nothing “productive” to chase besides better V+ sigils and better wrightstones, both of which still encourage afk farming to do
      the $60 gacha game i talked about exists, and thats current late game relink. i dont actually seriously mind it because i got to actively play through the early, mid and beginning of late game fine, and so i dont mind that ive paid cygames. its just how i feel about the game in its current state
      gacha games outside of the mind numbing grind and predatory monetization can have good points, i totally agree! i mainly bring them up for the fact that im now in the mindnumbing grind phase of my relink journey
      again, its not a matter of finding stuff to do (i can go learn soloing proto baha, the wyrms, other characters), but i bought this game with the intention to mainly play with friends, and i havent had a good reason to invite them to play for my last 100
      gameplay hours.
      i get that lucilius might solve that, but as said earlier, no expectations until i see it happen

      Nah that's not good enough and i don't believe it. One boss and then when is the next content? You expect me to fight one single boss for months and not get bored af and walk away? I'm sorry but you are high af on the copium. That's great if he is going to be hard. But you can't have a game just be one fckn boss and that's it. What could he even drop that will be significant? Supp dmg V+? That we just use to fight him over and over with the same builds, weapons and everything else? It's plain to see cosmetics of any kind are going to be paid. There is just no reason to play the game after a couple hundred hours. There is NOTHING to aim for. They'd have to release 5 level 200 bosses at once for it not be boring after 3 or 4 days. The characters are too simple. The builds and movesets for each character is not varied enough and extremely repetitive.
      I loved the game. Happy af for what i got for my money. But the game has NO staying power whatsoever. I hope i'm wrong. I really do. But it's going to be hard to even get back on it to try new content. I just can't see how one fight is going to save it from everything that's wrong with it

      @Raptchur well in the gacha game he has an entire weapon set, one of which is already modeled both with the prerelease weapon, and shown as one of his flying swords, so probably a new weapon to grind. I've heard that there are no level increases coming, but new sigils could change things. Also, farmable cosmetics would be something worth grinding out. And new quests outside of raids haven't been completely ruled out, so the content update could involve more quests. Honestly I'd like to see PvP added and maybe some sort of room/housing system, just something else to play around with. It's not like anyone has a gun to your head forcing you to play the game. Since we're so inundated with good games you could just play something else... oh wait, we're all still waiting on the same games to drop we've been waiting for over 4 years now. Guess it's back to to slimepede dungeon until the raid drops XD

    Prismantic slime spawn rates are NOT abundant for casual players
    I've seen 3 in my 200 hours. I do not farm slimepede a lot but as a casual player, I do NOT see them much unless i'm trying to. I spend most of my time actually playing the game.
    I APPRECIATE those slimes because it takes out some stupid need to farm crap like Tayu itar headpieces from balls easy bosses that have shitty drop rates. Prismantic slimes are NOT a bad thing.

      in one of my longer discarded takes, i actually went into detail about how i wish there was a multiplier for actively playing the game in coop (like chests around the map or something idk) so that we could actively play while still “competing” with the people that slapped slimepede around for a few hours
      i 100% agree that repeating tayuitar 100000 times for that horrific drop is annoying as hell. my (now redacted) point is that we shouldnt need to rely on those slimes to boost everything, we should be able to farm sigils levels at a realistic and engaging pace
      also, apparently the 7400 tayuitar has a good drop rate for the head units, while the 7800 tayuitar is horrifically low. not sure why they didnt just make a proud tayuitar that dropped it frequently… im personally just afk’ing the 7400 tayuitar for head units when im looking for them

    What I do with my 2 friends is do all maniac and all proud every night. It's more refreshing. Sometimes we forget their mechanic and laugh together when one of us died. Chaotic battle with 2 dragons and some stages with 3 bosses. We change character regularly and plot which of us DPS, Support, buffer or debuffer. Always cant wait every night to play the game. It's fun.

      that sounds really fun! im glad you and your friends are able to organize nights for that and really enjoy the game.
      i think the most i laughed when playing this game was when i played substitute tank captain with my friends in the proud gallanza/magielle fight, and we cleared by the skin of our teeth. sadly, we're all too strong for that now, and i dont think any of my friends are keen on downgrading our gear to recreate the experience..

    Slimepede is at least more fun than playing "Roost and Reign", which you basically have to do on repetition because the rate you get fortitude shards (the things you need to actually level up your weapons) is pretty lackluster anywhere else. I honestly haven't much trouble uncapping weapons and I've only seen the prism slime like 3 times.

      oh yeah roost and reign is straight butt. slimepede can at least be kind of funny if i queue into triple rackam
      i straight up afk run a melting pot of hostility for 45 minutes and come back to 170 fort crystals, which is enough for me to max a weapon every hour
      obviously less time efficient but im fully afk during that time 🫠

      Agreed. And i don't understand why fortitude crystal (L) costs the same amount in the shop as an exceptional refinium. The fortitude crystal should cost no more than 5 coins. That would make such a huge difference having another reliable source for them.
      I just hate the quests you need to run most for the endgame grind are easy ass quests. I mean they are all easy lol. But lvl 200 dude should just drop like 100 fort crystal (L) or a new rarity of it.

    I just play with diffrent builds and not listening to people telling me what’s “Meta”…… and just put all your character at full tank and see how much time it takes to kill, or max out all stun power and see the fun on how many breaks you get ( which in my opinion is even better then the SBA stuns )
    Or i did add full cooldowns and healing sigils on my AI team with all the healing skills possible and see how much they can outheal the damage for the teammates without using damage sigils
    I’m 106hours in this game and only just killed proto bahamut once because i dont let myself get carried by maxed out people or modders🤦‍♂️
    Learning it myself is way more fun and the grinding is basicly the same as monster hunter. It took me 1200 hours in monster hunter world killing the same few monsters over and over just to get 1 decoration i needed which was Mighty bow jewel at that time
    ( even though they now made it possible that if you are at a certain point you can craft this thing for increased costs )

      thats honestly a beautiful way to play the game! ive been brain rotted to where i feel the need to hit the “late game” ASAP, but there is a small part of me that wishes i had the patience to mess around and try every crazy idea while i slowly inch towards the end

      @@myaaniflakes it’s not a life service game so what are you rushing for? Those days because people can also cheat in these kind of games…. You basicly only rushing for endgame just for yourself, and i think that ruins the fun out of video games by doing that.
      You are rushing a game that in my opinion looks amazing with cool animations and weapons with a monster hunter style of mechanics. So after you rushed to endgame and have nothing to do other then grinding those few hard to get sigils to get burned out and feel sad that there are no good games to play?
      Learn to play for fun, don’t rush that stuff because you paid for it for a price some families need to live on for a few weeks. It’s a luxury you should enjoy.
      For example you buying some luxury car and speed through everything to get to your destination the quickest, by going through mud & bumpy roads. And in the end you need to wait for hours for other people that indeed DO enjoy the envirement and have fun in the car not taking the bumpy roads and looking forward for driving back home while you worrying about pieces of the car got damaged?
      ( That is how i try to convice people that it’s NOT a rush and take their time ) and i know time is valuable but when you rush through the fun things you will be stuck in a missary for a longer amount of time then the fun parts

      i think the big thing your analogy is missing is that i believed that the road would be longer
      i didnt really struggle through progression. the analogy would be more akin to me being in a comfy 2seater and traveling through a beautifully aesthetic route, and then suddenly hitting an endless road of just dirt for hundreds of miles
      i agree the game is scenic, but can i not appreciate that aesthetics and humor in the end game? my fun is seeing numbers go up and working for it, why am i required to play in a way that i do not play games, to enjoy this game?

    So after 200 hours my game loop is afk farming or quick quests. And it’s crazy that they have great scale down system and don’t use it more. Like make reuse old missions with scale down stats and no potions hoarder but give good rewards and people will happy to mess up

      yeah… i didnt address it in this specific take, but its so weird that quick quests dont give you any relevant rewards once you’re past uncapping the early levels of the weapon. the golden dalia badges have some good stuff, but it’s nothing that slimepede doesnt do better

      Funny enough if it never had damage cap or even such `forced over-reliance` stuff like Supplementary damage and War elemental, then i feel builds could be more flexible, though at that point people would likely trade 2~4 damage bonuses to 6~10 damage bonuses instead if no damage cap would be in the way anymore.
      They also fall in a particular trap such as making buffs & standard healing means mostly pointless combined with limited ability slots so being able to just sacrifice 1 of y our 24(technically 26 if you count Wright stones) `sigil/imbue` bonus slots for potion hoarder, you can double to triple your healing stock and the same of course for extra dodge invul periods and more.
      Which to an extent they DO make stacking certain damage bonuses less valuable due to some just go from +2%~+4% per sigil level before lvl 15, that after it becomes +1% per level.
      Also i could never stomach the quick quest system since i dont play online (i have NO REASON to get PS plus btw), since only getting a scrap of `dahlia badges` which could require me to do 3 or 4 rounds or even as many as 15 of them to get a single particular item when the time it takes todo said quick quests gets inflated from 2~3 minutes on normal to 5~10+ due to the massive downscaling of stats,And screw attempting to get a gold badge since atleast i can full zerg play the rng-sus game on the maniac version for those rare drops and still get curios, fortitude L crystals and many other useful things i could burn into more vouchers to keep trade looping for transmarvels.
      If they tone down the problems next week then maybe i can get back to the slog of pushing to proto bahamut finally, despite lacking a single supplementary damage but also hard-stuck trying to maximize even my first character`s sigil build, despite managing to luck out on a single war elemental, that made the damage output suddenly go ridiculously crazier afterwards.
      Anyway i had this fun little mental debate before on another game called Another Eden with its Grasta system, and i feel in both cases it would probably help if the slots were separated into categories such as 6 sigils for `damage type sigils, 3 for special stuff and 3 for support/defensive measures. Likely need better tweaking but its basically the same shenigan as A.E. where everyone rather just stack damage boosting `equips` because almost everything else is useless.
      though in GBF:Relink`s case, alot of sigils are pointless and its broken stuff like improved dodge, fight or fleet, war elemental, supplementary damage, damage cap, tyranny, stamina and critical hit that take over too much that most other dmg boosting sigils and useful support ones that reduce status effect detriments can never get any room to shine.

      The false "difficulty" the quick quests provide is trash imo. I don't build a character to see all these random stats and numbers and not even have any idea what parts of the build i made are even working or doing anything. It's a terrible system imo

      Exactly, if it scaled only damage back but made damage cap, supplementary damage, war elemental and non-damage mechanics still on full display so you still see a sizable damage difference then i wouldnt mind it as much.
      Quick quest should adhere to its name, not be `duty roulette` but the level sync is way lower then what FF14 did. Which usually had the level sync way higher when i still played it years ago back during storm blood`s first half.@@Raptchur

      yeah level level sync in ff14 felt i was wearing highest level gear for that level granblue scales you to the lowest level poissable and i end up more hunderice than the ai @@BladeSerph

      @@myaaniflakes All the problems i have with this game. Which is basically farming and leveling QoL and lack of variety in endgame content... they FCKNG nailed the voice lines, the voice actor casting (for both EN and JP) and just the emotes/stickers/messages.. all that. It's all voiced. All acted out. A simple call out like "help me" .. the characters mouth moves, and facial expressions change. It's fantastic. But i mean, online is kinda booty so its somewhat wasted.

    I feel like the "content boring" wall will be hit no matter what in a game that has a finite amount of updates planned for and isn't supposed to be a 10 year long live service. Lucilius will probably be hard for a few days, but to make it worthwhile they'll make it so that it brings stuff that's even stronger than what we have, we'll fucking stomp him after a week or so as well lmao. The only thing I hope for are more fights that are actually fun, it's why I still go back to monster hunter, even after getting every possible piece of gear the game can offer I still boot it up to replay the fights I find enjoyable

      i think the “content boring” wall shouldn’t have been slammed into so quickly, is one of the big reasons why i felt compelled to make this video so early into the game’s lifespan.
      i 100% agree with your analysis of the situation. i dont expect lucilius to be a challenge after the weekend he drops, but i do just hope i can have actual entertainment when replaying old fights instead of hitting sir barrold with a mecha lizard reskin

    My problem with co-op is that i can't even play a quest that isn't meta to farm like slimepede, even that one is hard to find at times. I'm currently stuck at the dual wyrm fights cus of the cpu attacking the wrong dragon and keep walking into the fire etc. Proud quests like those are hard to clear cause of bs reasons, i didn't have trouble up till those

      that’s fair. i didn’t think about the struggles of non-co op abusers to proud. my only suggestion is to run rackam and spam the basic attack until you save scum strong sigils and you can clear proud no problem 🫠

    Personally I don't mind people afk farming as long as they're doing it solo, as you said people have lives and afk farming helps them bridge the gap between active players. Also I don't really believe that slimepede makes other content obsolete, in fact I haven't done slimepede in a long while, I find myself doing the double bosses more for crystals and silver centrum. There's also a lot of materials that you need to farm from specific bosses (assuming you aren't only playing 1 character). People griefing in coop is pretty normal in any game with multiplayer, the best way to circumvent that is to play with friends instead of randoms. If you make coop more rewarding, then you will see more people grief 100%. So I think it's better to make anti-afk features rather than make coop more rewarding. Harder content isn't always better, and it really depends on how they make "harder". I would prefer "challenging" over "harder" and by that I mean more challenging mechanics rather than HP/stat sponges. That being said, no matter how hard a boss is, if you keep improving your gear and keep learning and studying the boss, eventually the fight becomes trivialized no matter what, and I would rather have that than infinitely scaling difficulty. I'm sure Lucilius will be hard and fun at the beginning but as we slowly master him, it'll feel like every other boss, and that's fine, this doesn't have to be a 1000 hour game.

      i think slimepede will make older content obsolete UNLESS cygames forces newer sigils to be separate from azurites and newer equips to be separate from damascus ingots. in this scenario, they would have addressed the lack of comparative active co-op rewards compared to pure afk farming
      people griefing is.. honestly quite rare. obviously the “afk” meta can evolve to the point where totally absent players can benefit from the 1-2 active players clearing everything, but im not suggesting for “afk farm” to NOT be rewarding. i just want active players to be genuinely rewarded for their effort. im hoping that pure afk players would respect co-op to just stay out by that point. if they dont, then a report function to softlock them out of active co-op lobbies would suffice
      the game doesnt have to be engaging for 1000 hours. im actually grateful it was engaging for 60 hours. i just would love more from the game that captured my attention as much as relink has*
      i do, from the most vague parts of my desire, hope that cygames addresses all of the gameplay loop issues immediately. i just choose to be pessimistic, and dont want to think they can address it until i see proof by may

    Yep, i really hope the Lucilius boss and next ones will kick our ass the hard way x) would be great, we need the real hard and rewarding content that justify all this farm race for minmaxing

      @@myaaniflakes My hope is that with lucillius comes a difficulty, basically something above proud with multiple quest that hands our ass to us till lucilius. But i don't know how they can do something fun/challenging without it just putting a dps check right after a mechanic, because the only way to lose a quest being "failed a dps check" or "die by attrition" make the possibility of something challenging be non existent within those premises (Especially with guts autorevive potion hoarder). Unless they make the critical gauge deplete MUCH faster and/or deactivate potions entirely, i do not see them being able to do something challenging without it being just a mechanic into dps check. I hope they prove me wrong tho.

    Lol thise slimes have a horrible spawn rate. You can always farm the sigil lvl mats. It will take long because its multiple places but the drops are better than the slimes. The slimes just allow you to get other stuff at the same time and you can do it at one spot. Or you can do gold badges for whatever reason. None of that are issues to me. Issues are the Qol and bugs. We also need more build variety. Im 350+ hrs in but coop does make things easy but with their plans of lvl 200 raid it should be the challenge endgame players want. Just hope he drops useful and unique items

      apparently prismatic slimes can be manipulated to appear about once an hour (200+ kills a run). considering that they will drop 5 azurites at minimum, you’re getting 5 11-15 sigil leveling worth of mats. without even the ambrosia or damascus bonuses included thats an absolute canyon of a speed difference
      sadly i dont want to play rackam so im self inflicting slower sigil leveling speeds, which is fine but just makes me not want to bother leveling any sigils past what i already have
      i do hope that lucilius will be as intense as i want him to be, im just reserving that optimism until i see him for myself
      ive been burned too many times by a game dev company “promising” big and underdelivering 🫠

    Prismatic slimes being an abundant spawn? I am about 250 hours in and have seen about 3. Even grinding the slime map for hours the only times I saw them were on other quests.

    cygames is more than capable to make EXTREMELY CHALLENGING content.
    and most likely the next lucilius raid will be like that, let me tell you that the first week of lucilius in the browser game no one managed to clear it, only 1% of the players managed to clear it even after weeks, even with end game gear and the best players in your guild most people failed it constantly, most players just waited until the power creep allowed for other players to carry the raid for them, my first lucilius clear was months after it was released and i mostly just supported 2 high lvl carries and had to try it first in pub to learn most of the fight along with a guide and a excel spreadsheet.
    dont get me wrong i want them to add more challenging content, but a lot of the players are kinda casual i have seen a lot of people have problems even when the game is this easy right now and i can see them wanting to quit if there is some content they can't do they will feel like they are wasting their time if they don't get any reward after like 15, 20 min.

      the hope is that the actual “important” drops are from an easier difficulty, while the hardest difficulty is mostly for the “oh my god i actually cleared it” feeling!

    After 150 hours and maxing 8 characters, the gameplay loop is starting to become a little stale. The combat is still fun but there are a lot of problems with the systems and enemies surrounding it that are dragging it down (Fighting the same handful of enemies over and over again, the atrocious matchmaking, the insanely low drop rates on some things, and of course the whole voucher/trans marvel systems) to name a few, and trying different characters and learning them can only carry it so far. It also shows a lot more once you run out of characters you’re interested in. Not building a character I could care less about playing for the sake of it.

      i do kind of feel the same way. its not the character that im playing that's diminishing my desire to play, but the enemies and matchmaking itself.
      ill admit that my tastes are incredibly basic, and im only interested in the gameplay loop of captain, zeta, and narmaya.
      for all intents and purposes, ive already hit "bis" on all three of these characters, meaning i have a full set of high quality sigils that i can equip on all three, while i could learn to solo versa and pyet-a on all three, i find my desire very, very subdued by the fact that lucilius is coming out in 9 days, and my personal goal of hitting 1k quests on captain alone, even if it is through afk means

    I have two maxed terminus characters and I'm over the game frankly, when I try to play multiplayer I only get actual groups with people in japan or china if I choose near me I get none. I have like 110 hours and like 700 honor.

    I agree that the game become siginificantly less challenging and eventually become dry in the endgame, but it also soulds like there are more skill and game knowledge issues than content issues....there are a lot of ways to improve clear speed with actual teammates. If you build a proper team and time the SBA and CC right , you can make the boss have no chace doing a single cutscene, which cut the clear time by significant amount. There are is an 1:27 min clear of proto bahamut on YT, and you can do that with other bosses with different timing as well, which is the whole point playing co-op.
    Also, the efficiency of AFK farming and Prismatic Slimes is low. Slimes farming is a fixed time quest, and if you dont encouter Prismatic Slimes, the time is wasted. With the low encouter rate, you can certainly farming other pround levels quest manually and get more awards with the same amount of time. So dont set yourself up in the situation and blame the game...

      well, i cant really convince 3 other irl friends to grind pyet/light/dark/proto baha for 2+ hours for my own selfish needs, assuming they dont care about the game anymore due to droll gameplay patterns, right?
      i get that MORE efficient runs exist with premades, but i genuinely cannot ask my friends, on good conscience, to care about the game as much as i do. id much rather just afk farm one night and max level one cpu character that i tangentially care about
      slimepede directly scales with how well i manipulate the spawns for myself, to the point where if i maximize the odds, no amount of mayhem/proud boss farming will ever come close. i can maybe farm a singular max level sigil by the time a slimepede spammed hits a primsatic slime. is that fine for a one off? sure, but its pretty obnoxious when its 5x, 6x or even 10x my rates

      @@myaaniflakes No, that is simiply not ture that "no amount of mayhem/proud boss farming will ever come close(to slimepede farming)". At least with my personal experience, the average time for farming any pround quests with 3 AIs is about 3-4mins, which is very similar to slimepede. However, you are gareenteed to have (directed drop rate)sigils, and Fortitude Crystal(for most bosses) and awakening materials, while you got nothing useful if you dont encouter Prismatic Slimes. Even you encouter Prismatic Slimes, it wouldnt drop Fortitude Crystal and any awakening materials. And I dont think I get good sigils as frequent as I encouter Prismatic Slimes, even though I have never intentionally farming slimepede.

      @HandleName_CB as a captain only player, i will never achieve these rates, but i have been told by near bis rackam auto clickers that they see at least 1 prismatic slime per hour. i struggle to believe that farming the manual “legitimate” way can ever come close to 5 11-15 sigil levels, with a strong chance for 3 125-150 uncaps, when these “optimal” rackam farmers are simply running a macro to left click for an hour

      ​@@myaaniflakes You miss the point. I am not saying that prismatic slime is not a good source for SAVING silever centrum. The whole point those items (that prismatic slime drop) is that it help you save the silever centrum so that you can use them to awake the weapons. 1 prismatic slime can save you about 35 silever centrum, which is undoubtly not bad at all. It is almost enough to fully awake. However, you still need hundreds of Fortitude Crystals to upgrade all weapons before awakening, you still need bosses materials to awaken, and you still need good sigils that to be upgraded. You can get none of these by farming prismatic slime alone. The 300 tickets is nowhere enough to efficiently obtain good sigils even with SL trick. Meaning that you need to spend additional time on farming other these things anyway. I know this can be done by AFK farming, but AFK farming has its own limitation in terms of efficiency and quest.
      However, you can do both at the same time(farming silever centrum, weapon materils, dummy materials for tickest, and useful sigils) by manual the the bosses quest. In my personal experience, the efficiency is at least not worse than AFK farming + farming Slime and the process is more tolerable.
      What I want to say is that you CHOOSE to torture yourself by farming like this, not the game FORCE you to do that.

      @@HandleName_CB i can concede that i missed the point of the silver centrum saving, but to be fair, you didn't mention that at all in your initial comment. you can easily AFK farm silver centrum by sitting in the 2 proud quests that include griffins and the eyeballs, and exchanging them to siero
      i do agree that if your sigils are completely maxed, uncapping your weapons can be done faster by manually playing the game. my only point of contention* is that its faster to simply queue with your AI, than wait in matchmaking for a potential co-op, then one-shot the boss with your very strong AI team, and continue afking
      im thinking that i probably should have made an explicit note to include this "take" in the video, but im bored of killing stuff with my AI. i specifically started this game to play with my friends, who streamed the game and made me interested. however*, i would be genuinely wasting their time by asking them to hop on to play, when my AI would kill the bosses i need to kill long before their steam and their game loads up
      i am actively suppressing my hope for this game's future, if only because i really want to be surprised by cygames. i've just grown to expect mediocrity from gacha game companies, instead of excellence

    The game is way too easy after you clear all the quest for the first time.
    Like the Gallenza duo quest was incredibly hard at first but when u pass it, it become much easier
    also this game don't have any high end boss fight yet, so hope they would add more content in the next update announcement which is 9th march

    I've seen 2 slimes since playing endgame/slimepede. The rates are most definitely not too high, you just need to do more than one thing/play more than one game. All of your grievances seem to be that you need to play more than one game. Like I'm halfway through the video and everything you complained about are self inflicted wounds. You're expecting more from this game than it actually is. Like, you're mad that people are using FoF how they made it? 😂. Not everyone wants to get on this game and sweat. Talking about world records that the majority of people will not even know exists and the rest won't even care, lol. No, dude.

      i do understand your criticisms, but you have to understand that im coming from a standpoint of where i joined the game 3 weeks after launch, and essentially caught up in less in 2 weeks, which could have been even less if i didnt strictly adhere to my masochistic "captain only" playthrough. My entire FoF complaint is pretty niche, since im aware many content creators are not using that for their solo runs. it just simply becomes my expectations when the bigger content creators have already used that sigil to "easily clear" harder content, and have already popularized that sigil for soloing in general.
      to be explicit, it is a very personal nitpick. it's just a trend that im naturally aware of since i try to be aware of "popular solo strategies" that most youtube viewers wouldnt be normally aware of, so i could make those videos anyways and be unaffected. i just choose not to for some silly unknown personal reason
      i can somewhat accept that this game has more to offer. i could learn the basics of all 19 characters, and thus would be able to make 19 series of videos on all 19 characters. however, i feel like that's unfair to me as someone who just wanted to be a captain main through and through, while also wanting to publicize the interesting gameplay and tech that i found on them. i dont really care for the other characters, which is why i dont make videos for them.
      i get that 99% of people wont care about world records, but i genuinely do not think that "I CLEARED PROTO BAHAMUT SOLO" is content i want to make.
