    *Note* Teflon tape, or pipe joint compound is not to be used on any connection that uses an o-ring or gasket. It is however needed on the brass control stop adapter. This was not shown in the video but will still help provide a leak proof connection.

    howdy. great video, Thanks! A couple pieces are listed in the installation and maintenance guide but do not see them mentioned in your video. how should the tail piece O-ring and Locking Ring sit within the Stop Coupling? O ring I would assume fits right inside the Stop Coupling against the Control Stop...unsure on the Locking Ring.

    • @AmreSupply
      @AmreSupply  Před 2 lety

      Thank you, we're glad that you found it helpful! It has been a little while since we filmed this so I'm just going from memory. There should be a small ridge that the o-ring sits against. The locking ring will be on the other side of the ridge. I think the idea is that the locking ring needs something to press against to help the coupler to "lock" into place. Hope this helps!

    Nice, interesting informative videoclip. I've wondered why some flushometer valves are shorter, others are medium "altitude" & still others contain much more "altitude", yet those of the same "altitude" whether short, medium or tall may have the same capacity of gallons per flush.

    • @AmreSupply
      @AmreSupply  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for watching. The capacity comes from how long the valve stays open. This is is a timing issue not an issue of how large the valve is. This video on diaphragm will explain this in more detail: czcams.com/video/IhBA-AZBXGc/video.html

    Hey, thanks for this video. if the measurement from the center of the flush valve to the cut off is not long enough with the provided pipe how do you adjust that pipe to extend it by quarter inch or half an inch or whatever is required. It appears that that pipe is actually soldered or maybe welded on to the flush valve. I’m sure that is not the case.

    Hey, do you by any chance have any tips on how to install a bidet seat on the flashometer toilet? Basically - what kind of parts could help getting into the water supply needed for the bidet seat?

    • @AmreSupply
      @AmreSupply  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for watching. There are many tutorials out there showing how to install bidets. The steps will be the same but for flushometers you can't connect to the large 1" supply line. You'll have to connect a T to the water supply at the sink, and run a line to the toilet.

    • @AmreSupply
      @AmreSupply  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching. To clarify, the copper pipe is 1 inch shorter, and the "cover tube" is 1-1/2" shorter. The adapter on the copper pipe will be screwed into the control stop and will be about 1/2" deep.

    How would I install a bidet with this toilet

    • @AmreSupply
      @AmreSupply  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching. There is nowhere to attach the bidet to a flushometer. To make it work, you would have to install a tee in the pipe to the flushometer and connect the bidet to it with a shutoff valve. It might be easier to connect the bidet to the sink's cold water supply.
