Yes! I have so many precious childhood memories associated with those games. Banana Blitz? Not so much
The series is notorious for the high difficult.
Totally agree with pretty much everything! I will say that playing the main story with friends made the frustration a little more fun. Passing the controller, yelling at the tv together, being the one to actually complete the level etc.
I can definitely see how it would be better overall if you played it with friends, something I probably overlooked.

Your description is me the whole time since this was announced. WHY this game, WHY. I bought and supported it almost exclusively for one reason, in hopes that this doing well results in 1&2, or deluxe being remastered.

Banana Blitz was chosen because of their budget and time, it was the easiest for them to remaster and they were told to do a Monkey Ball project
I must be the only person who was happy they brought back Monkey Ball at all. SEGA’s twitter did a poll on what fans wanted most, and a 1&2 remake tied with a new game in 1&2’s style. There’s still hope people!
I beat the Gamecube stage in Monkey Ball 2. But I dont want to play this game again.
I am surprised they removed so much minigames.
i really liked the game but also found it really frustrating at times, specially the shitty boss battles, the inconsistent physics and the lack of camera control (also, some changes from the wii version make some levels waaaaay harder, see 6x5)

I just beat all 10 worlds in about 2 and half days and I can confirm. World 10 stage 5 is one the worst experience I have ever had in my gaming life. The amount of deaths I took on this one level alone is probably 2 times the amount deaths I took in all of levels combined.
Been playing this game this morning, almost broke my controller. So so annoying. I only want to unlock sonic and that's it.
Dude, I don't get you in this one. Frustration is subjective, I guess... but I had a absolute blast with this game and I had no problems with the controls at all. Played all the way through with AiAi. I dunno, I got my moneys worth... love this game.
I’m loving it, too, but I see peoples’ frustration with this being the game that gets remastered.
Probably why I said exactly this in the video:
"But hey, maybe you like that kind of thing, maybe you're naturally better at this type of game than I am. It's possible some of you out there could bring the ratio of fun to frustration into the positive, or at least balance it a little better."
@@JRPGGaming Yes. I didn't miss that. Maybe I'm just suprised how different an experience can feel for different people. No offence in either way.
The remake has worse controls and changed the rails into bullshit stuff, the original was piss easy and this is unfair
Agree with everything you said, I love SMB1 and 2. This game is just ok, but level 10-5 is horrible! Not so much for difficulty either as Master 3 (Stamina Master) in the original and Master Extra 8 (Helix) in SMB2 were also very hard, but this ones 10-5, good god it makes the no continue trophies so annoying lol.
This was my very first game, on one hand Nostalgia, on the other, this was never good to begin with.
Well now I know not to get his game despite being a fan of the series
I love the ones on Gamecube, they should have remastered those instead because this mostly just made me angry lol.
