This happened in 2015 as well. Aus, Wales and England were 2, 3 and 4 in the world and in the same group. There was some murmuring at the time but possibly because it was England who lost out then the combination of 'lolAnyonebutEngland hosted and lost' and 'Whinging poms just want excuses' not enough fuss was made, the problem wasn't dealt with as if it wasn't just as likely to happen to anyone else. Of course the irony is that this time England are now the ones benefitting from a ludicrously beneficial draw in a tournament where by rights they should be struggling to make the knockout stage.
Scotland deserve a great run this time IMO. Big strides forward. Georgia doing well would be good as well. Crossing fingers for Ireland win, but think France and South Africa have the advantage due to host/history of winning dynamics.
Good video. Didn't know about that australian chap in the 50's, but as far as I know the first proposition of a world cup comes from Alfred Eluère, the FFR president, in 1947. It was dismissed by the IRFB of course, labelling it as a ridiculous idea.

One point for turning up isn't that daft especially for non-professional sport. It just LOOKS odd. What's important is the difference in points over win, draw and loss.

I’m worried with the World Cup being in America those yanks are not rugby people they won’t fill out stadiums for teams other than their own they’re not fans of our game
I bet they will sellout just like the soccer did which isn't a major sport in the US they wouldn't have it there if they couldnt sellout the stadiums

Ireland are the smaller of countries and not only in population but in the rugby pool, Ireland have 50 thousand rugby players in our country, rugby is our 5th sport and only private colleges play it so if you're not rich you're not playing rugby, England have a pool of over 1.5 million, that's a big difference and Scotland who ain't really doing well these times have a pool of 2 hundred possibilities and whale's have 145 thousand, so nobody can take away from Ireland the success we've had and England got the easiest group and we got the group of death, we beat South Africa, blew away Scotland 😂😂 and we were so unlucky not to be the winners, we knew it came down to small things but we beat South Africa who will win the final tonight in my opinion 💚💚💚🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪💚🍀🙏

You will make another video of the huge upsets of this world cup. The top 4 teams will not all perfom as expected. Scotland could beat one of them to go through to QF. Georgia could beat Wales, Fiji or Australia. The critics will keep quiet after the RWC.
Actually a fair amount of folks expect Scotland to punch above their weight or at least do well and make it a tight pool. Some even back them to see off SA and/or Ireland.

@@manofvalour6982 that‘s my point, as the WC warm-ups draw to a close Scotland look in the best form of all. They bettered France who are arguably the best among the top 4 and have timed their run probz better then anyone.. they have all the right cards to beat any of the rest.
@@karlosdeevs It wasn't Frances full strength team and also bear in mind this is warm up and alot of coaches are experimenting but also alot of players want to prove themselves ahead of the WC. Without a doubt Scotalnd is a formidable force and are a threat to Ireland and SA and to whoever they may face in the QF(which is unlikely but not impossible). Ireland have peaked to early and I don't think they will break their curse of bombing our at or before the QF( my humble opinion). This is what makes social media great is that we can argue all we want and have different opinions but it all cone down to who ever dominates on the day. Eg: in 2019 you didn't honestly think SA was going to topple England and neither did I but look what happened?

its 2nd or 3rd in the world by serious fanbase & competitive countries playing professionally. there's no reason to take viewers flicking through tv stations as the absolute ranking criteria. average & absolute attendance is higher in the last rugby world cup for example.

No one cares about womans sports you talk BS you watch the rugby world cup in a month it will get far bigger crowds and far more views than any of the fifa womans world cup games and the All Blacks just played a friendly against Australia in Australia and got 84000 more views and a bigger attendance than any of these fifa womans world cup games
Hardly a RUGBY World Cup without South Africa, who had been playing International rugby for a century by the time the first tournament took place.
I preferred rugby before it became professional. Money destroyed the game.
