This really reminds me of the Anime "Gate" where portals to another world open in Japan and they decide to bring a whole platoon of modern weapons including tanks in there only to find enemies on the tech level of the roman empire.

@@Eval999 I worked for the company that made Darkest of Days! Honestly surprising it was as good as it ended up. The company only had experience doing slot machine games and the CEO decided they had to make an FPS.
Best part was their marketing stunt at PAX with costumed characters asking people how they'd like to change the course of history. The African American gentleman politely declined about the Civil War when asked lol

Couldn't agree more! Show us your buttho... um, I mean game! So many studios just release stuff that doesn't show anything what the actual game is. Most often it's because it's either a weak product or they haven't even figured it out themselves. Now this is a trailer with some chest hair!
I saw this from an Anime years ago called Gate, at that time I believe AAA game studios would never make a game like that.

@@ShadowWolfRising Exactly, I thought I was the only one lol. Yeah, finally a game kinda like KuF where you hack n slash with your main guy but also control and lvl up armies. This one also has the RTS base building elements which is very cool. Always loved strategy rpgs with armies since I was a kid like Dragon Force for the Saturn, Last Remnant for the Xbox360 and KuF, but they're hard to come by lol 😅

If this is battle to battle strategy, I wonder what the in universe explanation is for him getting more bullets for each battle.
I'm assuming he's scavenges in the future and builds in the past. At least if we're considering the truck jump to be something that actually happens in game and not some trailer BS.

The end kind of implies he can travel back and forth between past and future.

I once had a week long discussion/debate online about who would win at the Alamo if the defenders were a single squad of modern Marines instead. I still think about that scenario and hope this game brings in different eras of warfare in the future.
