I personally liked Red, mostly because we got to hear the other members besides Rivers and Brian singing. Pat and Scott both have really good voices, and Pat's also a good guitarist too.
Actually, Rivers does like Pinkerton. He just didn't at first, but he came around on it.
he only hated it because of its poor reception, he was super proud of it when they made it in the first place
Fun Fact: (If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To was my first ever Weezer song. I saw them perform it live on Conan. It was fun and pop-rockish, not too far off from Weezer's style. It was a truly wonderful song from my childhood that I still look back on today. So, you can imagine my surprise when I listened to every other song after that.

They definitely have many horrible moments, but there is still some good.
I would say every Weezer album was 0:00 for me (except for Pinkerton… just no)

Somehow this would be so much better if this was a person‘s genuine reaction to popular music. Like dancing to contemporary architecture. Also, blimey, Weezer have put out a hell of a lot more albums since I last checked in on them.

I would describe Pinkerton as lifting up the Weezer jug expecting another great peach syrupy album but getting a mouthful of vulgar, unexpected Pinkerton cooking oil.

I've barely heard any weezer songs and these are hilarious out of context
I don't understand why the black album gets so much hate...maybe it's the nostalgia for me (I'm a younger Weezer listener and I listened to it a lot when it just came out, good times for me) but it's one of my favorites. I like their old stuff a lot too, just for the record.

I really just like everything they do, even ratitude (lol) although I dont like it as much as the others, I still kinda dig it. Pinkerton and Maladroit are definitely my two faves, and green doesnt deserve all the hate it gets, make believe has good cuts too
green album was pretty good, but maladroit was 8/10, the pre-greens are great, Raditude's 5/10, Hurley is called hurley 'cause you hurl it, Everything Will Be Okay in the End is kinda good

Raditude - 4/10 (the first song was a banger, everything after that was crap)

Every release has at least one banger. I'd say Weezer's problem is that they work TOO hard, they release SO much music that it's a tale of thirds: 1/3 will be awesome, 1/3 will be OK, and 1/3 will be crap.

I fucking love Raditude bro 😭 Most of the songs (in the mall, can't stop partying, and I'm your daddy most specifically) are satirical and meant to be funny, and put me back together is the best song PERIOD. Not out of Weezer, or even out of alt rock/indie/whatever genre. Just the best song in the world. I'll defend Raditude till the day I die.

This was my opinion when I first got into Weezer, then I realised their “worst” albums are actually their best, black is a damn masterpiece, raditude is fun as hell and red is the greatest album ever made

It's true. Once you've listened to the whole discog a whole bunch the first three albums start to sound stale compared to everything else. Raditude has some right bangers, especially on the deluxe version, where you get one of THE BEST solos we've ever seen from Weezer on the track Get Me Some. And that's not even my favorite track on the album.

The only Weezer songs I've heard of, in full, were "Beverly Hills" & "Pork and Beans".
1st song via Radio Disney in the mid-2000s
2nd song in the late 2000s/early 2010s (sometime after listening to a mashup of it and the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" theme song)

Honestly don’t get the hate behind Raditude. “Let it All Hang Out” is kind of a feel-good banger, and “If You’re Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You To)” is silly and fun. I also kinda like “The Girl Got Hot” and how much of a joke that song is considering it’s Weezer.
There are two songs I like, them being “If You’re Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You To)” and “Love Is The Answer.” And some of the tracks (EG: Let It All Hang Out and Put Me Back Together) sound Okay instrumentally I guess.
But the album is very badly brought down by some of the worst Weezer lyrics I’ve ever heard (Especially on Can’t Stop Partying, Let It All Hang Out and In The Mall) and that other tracks that are not dreadful sound like there is low effort being put into them. Rather ironic when this album is about partying.
I’m aware they used Professional songwriters for most of the album but most of them really don’t help either because even they couldn’t help at all. Oh and don’t even get me started with the Lil Wayne feature on Can’t Stop Partying.
So yeah, now you probably understand the hate.
That makes a bunch of sense. Still like those songs above.

Why Raditude Is so horrible?
Weezer basically bury the stuff they were good at on the entire album and basically do everything that they should not be doing.
EG: Lil Wayne collaboration, Very sus and off lyrics on several songs (“I’m Your Daddy” and “In The Mall” being great examples), Patrick Wilson barely being on the drums at all, hiring professional songwriters instead of writing their music and the rough production of the album.
There are two songs that I like (I Want You To and Love Is The Answer) but that’s it.
