LIVING ALONE IN GHANA AS A WOMAN | UNFILTERED DAY IN GHANA COOKING GHANA FOOD AND GHANA MARKET
Lets cook Ghana palm nut soup and omotuo on this relaxed saturday in Ghana.
Palm nut soup is a popular Ghanaian food made from the palm fruit. along with any protein of choice. It can be eaten with rice, fufu or banku. In this video we will make omotuo which basically rice thats made mushy to have a sticky consistency.
I hope you enjoy spending my day with me in Ghana as we cook this popular Ghanaian food together.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
Aisha is a sweetheart! She isn't as camera shy as at the beginning 😔. Loved seeing you two cook together.
😊 thank you
Hello Jasmine, I have a marketing proposition for you. How do I get in touch with you?
Aisha is very funny, she's a great company for you , we love seeing her in your vlogs!!..😂😊
Jasmine you definitely need a small pressure cooker especially in the African countries because most of they're meal surround allot of cow foot, goat meat and other meat mix together so it much quicker and save gas.
It's so nice seeing Aisha again! ❤
I love ghana... I love africa... ❤ 🇧🇷🇬🇭
I love hearing you joke with each other, about different things!😂
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, of California, USA. Because we often don’t have much rain, we have droughts. I was stressed out, with how much water you used, throughout the whole process. 😬 This year, we finally got a lot of rain, and rainstorms, so we don’t have to ration water, yet.
Anyway, one of my sons LOVES Palm Stew! He gets it often, from a local Liberian restaurant. I’m going to show him how much work is involved in creating this dish! Thanks for posting the video!
Also, I learned to peel ginger, by scraping it with a spoon. Sometimes that works faster, because you don’t have to worry about accidentally cutting yourself.
😂😂😂😂
I am coming home Ghana ❤ good one queen Ama🇯🇲💕🇬🇭🔥
Thank u xx
Your relationship with Aisha us a beautiful one. Just like two sisters enjoying each other company 🥰
Thanks x
Jasmine is a pure definition of all whether ,she blends easily with conditions ( slay queen 👸🏽 to mother etc )
Haha not slay queen 🤣
Jasmine, you're a strong black woman. The food looks so good and I just love watching iesha in the videos 😊
Food was delicious xx
Aisha is such a beautiful young lady, food looks lovely also.
The markets here are well planned with nice architecture but ours hmm I hope we can change things
Hellooo Yasmin & Aisha!!! Aisha looks so fine and is so eloquent!! With great cooking skills too. Big up to you, Aisha. Great seeing you in Yasmin's vlog!!
Great vid. I love your cooking and going to the market vids, especially when Aisha is involved. Who doesn't like Aisha!?
The food looks delicious. And I love the playful banter between you and Aisha.
🥰
I am not going to lie that food 🥘 looks good 👍 hit the thumbs up y’all ladies can burn 🔥.
A version of Soul Food 😋 I always enjoy spending the day with you and Aisha.
🤗
Jas... ginger is easily peeled with a spoon. Try it and thank me later
So interesting that you said that about cabbage fufu. I’ve pretty much had to go carnivore and completely remove the carbohydrates but your food looks so good. 😭Animal products seem to be the only thing that doesn’t upset my gut and help me loose weight and relieve all the inflammation in my joints and entire body really.
A pressure cooker comes in handy when cooking tough meats to save on gas
I missed you sis . This Ketura from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Abenkwan so good especially the following day with boiled yam yummiest ❤❤❤❤
Wow, I so love it when you do these kind of "domestic" videos. The market you showed could have been Makola in the 80ies when I was living in Accra. And it's pure masochism for me watching you preparing Ghanaian food. I would give everything for a simple Fufu (yes, the capital F is on purpose!) and groundnut stew or just some Banku... It's great to see Aisha again too!
Aw so glad u enjoy these 💕
Beautiful video. It's fun filled.
These are my favorite kinds of videos by you! Thank you Jasmine ! Really enjoyed this one! Please make more content of you cooking different dishes
Definitely will. Glad u enjoyed it 🥰
Yes I also use the blended egg shells and also banana peals as nutrients for my plants. You can either soak the bana peals in water overtime and use it to water the plants or blend it and use it to water the plant.
Id try the peels of my fruit too xx
My mother used to do the eggshells and water for her plants. That water got really stinky, but mother had some gorgeous house plants! 🪴
Aisha looking gorgeous, well prepared and looks yummy 😋 am missing Ghana already 😊😅❤have a great weekend sweetheart
Thank u lovely 🙏🏾💕💕
First today! ❤❤❤❤
Hey Lily 🥰
Aisha you have to come to Guyana to cook this for me
Hi Jasmine, it is easier to peel ginger using a spoon. Try it next time.
My people use tea spoon to scrap off the skin of ginger. I think its pretty easy that way.
From the beginning of this video what u can say is the difference between gh and abroad is branding and structures
Use a teaspoon to clean ginger, it can clean all the nooks and crannies of the ginger and will not cut as a knife would
.
I tried this but still a pain if you are cleaning a whole bunch 😫
I love watching you guys. Your friendship is vibrant and full of happiness and laughter. Thank you for sharing 😊
🙏🏾❤️❤️
Love your natural hair thank you
Thank u David 🥰
Looking very beautiful ❤. The palmnut soup looks delicious 😋
The soup look very delicious. You guys are making me hungry. Good job.
Thank you, it was really good xx
Hi jasmine I hope your doing well.
I take some of my egg shells and let them sit in water in a gallon jug to water my plants with it ok but very smelly.
Enthusiastic 😂 hmm i remembered 😊

Hi Jas.. Nice looking dish.
Thank you 😊
A pressure cooker might help with tough meats and reduce cook time.
Just needs getting used to with regards to timing.
Agreed. Half hour tops for kotodwe.
Life is Nothing Without Friendship

Hey hun my husband and I have tried those non carbohydrate fufu including vegetables and wheat and trust me they are not palatable.
Looolll I have always been curious to see what it tastes like x
Hi jasmine I like the rap song about you
Wow sorry for the error (cook was spelt wrong) sorry about that
I do the same with my egg shells
You are Isha are the most lovely women I have ever seen ❤️. And yes plants need calcium just as we do. And I use the pulverized egg shells for my plants as well as for my earthworm farm.....
You girls make me laugh 🤣, even your camera guy .
🤣🤣
Hi Jasmine! Do you have any video on the cost of living in Ghana: rent in a nice neighborhood, food etc.
Thnx
Yes I have, here is a link czcams.com/video/WJNzF0GngL8/video.html xx
J, you need pressure cooker to boil your cow foot, it takes 20 - 30 minutes
I will look into this, someone suggested this too. Thanks so much x
The dance bit was funny 😂. Did she teach you Jas?
She tried to loll
Two reasons to come to GH: 1. Jasmine 2. Aisha

Ooh yuuh the LANGUAGE!!
Jasmine is very pretty
When will the cooking with Jasmine & Aisha U tube channel comiing out? The chemistry between you too is amtazing. On a serious note think about it. You can even stick your old cooking videos on there. Just saying.
We will make more videos. They all come out on this channel x
My dear this soup is not for riceball but for fufuo 😊
The market looks more like Community 1 market.
I haven't been here in a minute, missed you girls. Good video as always. Let me 🏃♀️ and go make some abenkwan and fufu.
Before i forget, you can use a spoon to peel the ginger. It makes the process easier.
Thank u 🙏🏾🥰
But I want to know does placing onions 🧅 in water prevent u from crying 😢 when chopping them
It doesn’t lol
😍🤗😋
🥰
My mom was never happy with how I peeled yam. She would say I was cutting too much of the edible part away with the skin. 😅
🤣🤣
The right person to give us a correct review about the food is Clement.....please next time let hear what he has to say about your cooking
Why will he be the right person?
@@JasmineAmaa NEUTRAL PERSON I GUESS
Do you teach Ghanaian Language? What language are you speaking Twi, Ga, Dagbani, Dangme, or Ewe. Which is the most popular?
