Where is your video of you taking apart the carb?

Thks for the info, I got the same carburator and you are the only I found with the same type of carb. I bought mine also with the air intake clamp broken and I'm looking for a video showing the taken apart steps of the air intake and cleaning the carburator. I you for any chance has a video will be great, I visited some Mercury service places here in Miami but I didn't get any help. Nevertheless thanks for posting those two videos.

This looks like the 2000 Yamaha f24 I have, betting it's a Yamaha with Merc labels, back when they had a partnership to build motors.

I believe you're correct, I remember hearing this somewhere else too.

Well a 04 mercury 25hp just landed in my lap, power head is a Yamaha on it. Not sure on lower unit.

Did the carb repair fix the problem? I have the same motor with the same exact issue. Please let me know.

Hi apologies for the delayed reply. My issues stemmed from the fuel pump which I replaced but I did go through and clean the carb, new fuel filter etc.

I got the boot but I can't figure out how to replace it. Inside the bowl looks like a nut with a screwdriver slit that slides over the pump rod. I don't want tear up the black plastic throttle piece that holds the ball point of the pump rod.

The boot I guess block out the air from getting into the bowl so you can get the right amount if fuel to accelerate.

      Another question:
Have you experienced a little fuel leaking from around the bottom of your new accelerator boot. If so.. would you put a zip tie or over time it will cease to the fitting holding the bottom in place?

What is the rubber boot type by the throttle called. Mine is deteriorate and I need to replace it. Don't know if it has a certain name. Thanks

It was in this kit: amzn.to/3RarCzV - the repair kit part number is 8542561 but I'm not sure if you can get the boot itself.

It's called "Rubber Bellow". But it's "NSS (not sold separate)".
