Yeah, it always bugs me in comic universes when people don’t believe in one thing or another. You’ll have some dude like “I don’t believe in magic” but that same dude is on a team with a wizard.
I might buy that conspiracy if I was in the DCU. If we ever encounter aliens 100% chance they're not humanoid at all and even if they were they wouldn't look like Supes. Martian Manhunter would be harder to deny though.

Orion: "He sets you on fire eternally in yours."
J'onn: "What do you have in mind?"

Superman: "So? What do you think?"

Orion: "You're right...Martian! Do you think you could bring down the Bat's IQ?"

@@architeuthis3476 Because of its pure madness and deranged nature. It's a perfect distillation of one of my favourite eras of science fiction, the 90's. Weird nonsensical conspiracies, a bafflingly wrong understanding of computers and how the internet works. I live for that, I just love how absurd this is and I desperately need them to see the sequel to this because it's even more bizarre.
Also Bruce Lee fights Batman is one of the stupidest things ever put to page and I adore it for that.

Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle are the Bat issues dream team. Whenever you hear their names you know it's gonna be a great episode!
Alan Grant's work on _2000 AD_ was excellent. His American comics were extremely hit and miss (although his hits aren't very well remembered).

I think Alan had a ton of inference from Mike Carlin editorially and Alan was majorly censor even having an issue of Arnarky banned.
It hit me with the art that this would have made a great BTAS episode simply because it wouldn’t have the baggage of the fact aliens are absolutely real in the dc universe
Except for the fact that it's part of the DCAU. Which includes Superman and Justice League

I think this is my favorite episode of ComicPop. The concept of the comic is just so absurd.

They sell people's data to the highest bidder. Why didn't you say anything?!". And batman just shouts "I knew I was abducted! Wait what?".

I don't think I've heard anything more shocking than Sal revealing that there is in fact a sequel to this fever dream of a book.

It’s funny I haven’t thought about this for awhile but my older sister used to be a huge fan of the Xfiles and had a ton of issues of the comics series collected. There were a lot of twists and surprises in this episode but that memory was a pleasant addition.

This is easily one of the most hilarious and bat-shit insane plots I've listened to on this channel. And the shame of it is that every ten minutes, Sal and Company would come up with a much better plot off the cuff. The idea of Batman being abducted by aliens isn't bad by itself---the first third of this was admittedly pretty interesting. It's just that this should've been the beginning of a much grander plot; one that should've involved the Justice League. But instead, we're given a random X-Files episode, but with Batman. But even the more comedic episodes of the X-Files were more dignified than this. The second Bruce Lee showed up, that's where I gave up.
I've seen all of the Back Issues videos there are. You enjoyed yourself the most in this one - and it totally transfers. Thanks for that one, keep on enjoying making more episodes.
