    I appreciate your information on paint additives. No one emphasizes the importance of viscosity and texture in their tutorials like you do and you are spot on every time. I just got different mediums to try this! It is sooooo pretty!! 🤩

    I have to agree with the lady who said this was the most beautiful rock she’s ever seen on a tutorial. What a treat to watch and to listen to. I’m so glad I got some new wood pebbles from you last week, I will definitely try this. AND I had no idea Target had paint!! So excited to go there tomorrow, lol! ♥️🎯 Thanks for another delightful video Rachel!

    Very cool! You've convinced me to give it a shot. Thanks for posting this! I have 18 of the hand made modern paints from Target and I love them!!! The ladybug red is the best red I've ever used and I've been painting for over 40 years! So, yeah terrific sea urchin and nice color scheme.

    I love your video, thank you for sharing with us. I've been dotting for a couple of years now and I'm a bit OCD when it comes to perfection. This is a whole new technique that can help one let their hair down LOL. I'm working on a couple of sea urchins right now and now realize a more organic look can go a long way. YEAH!!!!

    • @TheDottingCenter
      @TheDottingCenter  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Veronica! I love your comment! I, too, am a recovering perfectionist. I started having so much more fun when I started experimenting and stopped critiquing every dot. It’s such a head game isn’t it? I’m glad your letting go a bit. Especially with urchins! The dots on an urchin are perfectly imperfect. 😊💜💜💜

    Using two different glazes was a super touch and I wish we could see and feel your urchin in person! Paying such attention to the finishing touches makes a piece extra special. I can't wait to be able to order some of your flexible stencils, for stone shapes the rigid ones are so difficult. Thank you as always!

    I love your sea Urchin, the colours are gorgeous. I have been doing Henna Art and have learnt to hold the cone closer to the tip to get more control, I don't know if this helps but it might be worth a go. Thank you so much for doing these tutorials for us they are fantastic.

    This is the most beautiful dotted rock I have seen on CZcams to date. You really did a spectacular job. Have you ever thought about putting a resin over this? This had to take days if not weeks and I appreciate you sharing this with us.

    • @TheDottingCenter
      @TheDottingCenter  Před 5 lety

      Candeekissez omg that is so sweet of you 💞 Thank you. Drying time is a factor 😂 puffy dots take forever to dry. I don't trust resin with round objects so I may just leave it. Thanks for the comment. You made my day 🤗

    Absolutely stunning your colour palettes are excellent you’re so creative and I look forward to trying out dotting in the future. I’ve been looking into what sort of kit you would suggest for somebody beginning dotting who would like A little bit of tools plus your applicator bottle do you sell a full kit? I don’t want to go and buy a bunch of tools I don’t need that will end up sitting in my caddy. Oh BTW it’s great to see you trying out the cone

      Here's my beginner kit: thedottingcenter.com/product/dot-mandala-painting-kit-dotting-tools-and-stencils-to-get-started-dotting/ and the bottle kit is here: thedottingcenter.com/product/paint-applicator-bottles-for-3d-dots-paint-bottle-set/ These are all the basic tools so you can try them out. If you love dotting (which, I mean, of course you will...) you can invest in some silicone tools and design stencils : )

    OMG that is soooo amazingly beautiful and creative!!! I absolutely love it!! Do you sell the wood base? Do you think the spikes could scratch a child? I'm wondering about my 3 1/2 yr old autistic grandson. He loves the dotted dishes I create because of the tactical stimulation, if this wouldn't scratch him I think he would love love these!! I am just blown away by your creativity!! Love your soothing voice too! Thanks for sharing!! 💚

    Thank you I received the applicator bottles today, how do you clean them?

    • @TheDottingCenter
      @TheDottingCenter  Před 4 lety +2

      With water right after you use them. If you get clogs soak them in rubbing alcohol and use a pin to dislodge the plug. I’ll have a video coming soon to show all the details 😊

  • @helenbarnett1007
    @helenbarnett1007 Před 4 lety

    I love this! I have stared one but there are so many products. Can’t find homemade modern acrylic paints here in NZ could I mix decoart paint with a gel to put in the cone?

    • @TheDottingCenter
      @TheDottingCenter  Před 4 lety +1

      You really just need a medium body acrylic paint. You can use your local brands. Add gel medium to thicken liquid acrylics or add pouring medium to thin heavy body acrylics to get the right consistency 👍✨

    Why does my paint go flat?

    • @TheDottingCenter
      @TheDottingCenter  Před rokem

      You're probably using fluid paint and that will always dry flat.
