i really love this song. Jungkook said he produced this song and wrote it too as a gift to us, he said this song is meant to comfort us. ‘Magic Shop’ is like a fictional place where armys can go and rest and take a break from reality when things get too hard. he said when we go to the magic shop, the seven members will be there waiting for us and will comfort us. i went to their concert and Magic Shop was definitely one of the most memorable.
Honestly same, literally in tears when they performed this towards the end.

after the concert I went to, on the way outside, one ARMY sang the "so show me" super loud and everyone sang "I'll show you" back and it was just so. beautiful.

Kiki Dee ??? Joey is like my little brother! We talk about the songs & which he should react to! When I brought up Magic Shop I told him all about the song! Just like Butterfly! The dedication was for my husband & I! For instance he didn’t know there was a m/v for Butterfly! Just like this one I told him how amazing it sounds when you the ARMY sing back with “So show me” “I’ll show you”! Which is why he watched the live version at the end!

Magic Shop it's from a psychological book.It's a place created in your mind to free yourself when u go through something hard.So BTS takes inspiration by many books.They used phrases in their raps that they have tweeted or told us before.The lyrics are personal things they share with us plus the whole book.
Jungkook worked on the production of this song.The very rough parts,the sample? I don't remember the correct name.It's was his first step as a producer abd hopefully if he wants he can get more music out in the future.This was the fan song so it was special to him.

Pied Piper and 2!3! are also songs that are for ARMY. 2!3! has a very emotional performance where BTS stops singing and lets ARMY continue it, without even the music playing. So when you react to that song, you also have to react to that performance. It's beautiful.

I believe what you’re talking about is the Brazil show, and BTS didn’t actually stop to let the crowd sing, the crowd continued and sang the chorus another time after the song ended as a fan project for them 💜 then BTS made a spot for the crowd to sing at the end of the song for the rest of the tour

as someone who was in the audience at Citifield honestly this song gives me chills and the video at the end brought tears to my eyes and I had goosebumps. There is nothing like being part of that chant and seeing how happy it makes them! This song will forever hold a special place in my heart

i got insanely emotional when they san magic shop at the concert. BTS has helped me a lot in my journey with my mental health and all of us coming together and just singing and how genuine they were on stange during this song. idk it all made me so emotional. im grateful for them and this fandom tbh

In fact, all of them participate in the song production process, it's just that RM and Suga are more involved in it as they have more experience in it. But, they are all working on improving their song production skills and have desires of releasing their own original work.
FYI, Magic Shop is actually not the first song BTS dedicated to the fans...I recommend checking out 2! 3! (Hoping for Better Days), which was their first official fan song, from the Wings album in 2016. This was not the first time Jungkook was involved in the production process of a BTS track. Back in 2015, Jungkook composed a track called Outro: Love is not Over...please react to it!

Euphoria was not made for the WEBTOON, jungkook has said it's like the magic u feel when u fall in love, it can be a happy song. Don't ruin the experience for people who struggle with mental issues and find comfort in their songs.

I was at Oakland as well as CitiField! Both concerts (like all of them) were amazing! As you said Magic Shop is truly a special song during concerts. Literally ARMY is incorporated into the song especially at end. BTS actually leaves the stage and ARMY keeps singing along at the end. It's just all 20k/40k of us and the background music. It's just magical.

If you want the better audio quality of crowd singing/chanting back to magic shop live, you need to find the one at Seoul instead. There's this one fancam that has clear audio and you can hear the entire crowd singing back. It gave me chills for that one
I don't know why but Jungkook's line : "Have a cup of tea look up into the galaxy" that one (ik its probably not the exact lyric but you get what I mean: the hook) That part made me go from hiding my emotions by watching bts vids to: ugly crying and silent sobbing. I lost my only friend yesterday. But now I know that I do have friends or people who care. People who love the ARMY they love us and that is BTS

I love how you explained the pre-hook and the build-up that comes with it while matching jin's soft take on it and jimin's intensity (from gentle to strong) but during the second pre-hook, jungkook started the soft version and jin did the strong and intense one before the hook. This song is really special to a lot of us bc lyrically obviously it's dedicated to fans. The "so show me, I'll show you" has become a huge fandom-wide tradition and even at Korean awards shows BTS will mess around and one of them will just yell "so show me!" after a performance or speech and everyone will respond. It's kinda beautiful. Not to mention the line "you gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you" is so empowering. Production-wise, this vocal splice reminds me of Whalien 52 - a kind of deep sea or space vibe - it's all very big and open and free. And the lyrics talk about being your own galaxy. And the chanting gives it that powerful feel, too. Idk how to explain it but as a musician you probably understand what I mean when I say the production and musicality of the song is really empowering and uplifting, not just the lyrics.
I love that you were just vibing to the song here... PS: I just started listening to BTS (3 months in) and I appreciate these reactions so much, they really help me understand the music even more and notice things I didn't notice before.

FYI - please be careful when saying that other members do things better than Jin. There is a fairly large part of this fandom that doesn’t credit Jin for what he can do so when they hear someone confirm their (anti)biased views - they run with it. Even today there are those that think Jin should not be part of BTS because they say he has no talent.
I personally think each of the vocalists are just different in how they sound and not any one being better.
I really hate when people compare members-I almost didn't watch the rest of the video. I understand people are entitled to an opinion but it's like comparing my children-I just can't/won't do it.
Lov3 your reactions and your friend was right; you get cold chills or teary when you are at a concert. It’s difficult to explain, but the artistry just gets all mixed up with the sincerity and the energy from the crowd responding was truly a life-changing event for me. It was during this song that I came to believe 100% that I matter not just as an ARMY but as a person.
