very good video. I live in an agricultural country that has not been very advanced in the agricultural industry, watching this video I get an idea of how to advance agriculture through hard work, dedication and maximizing advances with agricultural technology

my dear sister i know how to do farming and how to raise animals i am from a rural area i have done this work but now i don't have land so all my work ends Has gone,
tange2000 hey there, great point you've made, I didn't like seeing that one. Whilst I don't doubt it's a quick way of getting a calf to move when you want, I'd personally avoid doing it at all costs.
ole nausene hey there, really? How have you come to that conclusion? The worker in question said she was originally from South America where animal welfare standards may not be as high. She did say however that she enjoyed working with the calves, which I don't doubt. She may also be unaware that she was risking quite serious injury there, and given being made aware of the risks, she may no longer tug on the tails when organising the calves around the group feeder, and possibly even feel quite badly about doing that in the past. I've sadly seen incidents of calves being physically lifted off the ground by they're tail, and over quite long distances at times. Plus one disturbing incident of newborn calves being thrown using the tail. I'm certain that in this case, it was simply a lack of understanding on the handler's part, and they actually have good regards for their livestock, rather that an enjoyment of inflicting suffering on their stock as you've suggested.
Yep sometimes Always effing windy, sometimes effing raining, sometimes effing snowing, And sometimes effing Sunny...All in one day...Like four seasons in one day....Welcome to New Zealand 'Ahem' I mean Aotearoa Land of the Wrong White Crowd...I mean Long Cloud.

don't pull them by the tail, it easily breaks..move forward and wrap your hand round the neck and pull it back......you can not have bad habits on the farm.
Totally agree Bob Brown, that Was not a good look at all. As I reply commented to another who posted concern about this, I suspect the farm employee in question was just ill informed about this. She seemed to have regard for the calves she was overseeing, and I'm confident that once informed on the risks of serious injury with pulling a calf's tail, and shown the correct method of moving a calf, she wouldn't do that again. Someone commented that she loves inflicting suffering on the calves there, and implied that was her motivation for the tail pulling, whilst a ridiculous suggestion, concerning some may believe that. Also totally understand Racheal's comment in the shoes of the owner of the young stock in question, and as that owner, knowing the severity of the risked injuries associated with tail pulling. I'd personally have NO issues sacking on the spot if I witnessed acts like that on employees who HAVE been made aware of these risks. Thankyou to you both for raising this issue!
Great insight into your operation there, thanks for sharing it with us! Though I have/had some concern about your calf handler tugging on the calves tails to organise everyone around your group calf feeder (see my comments replying to other viewers who raised concern about this if you wish). I hope she's been able to learn the correct method for moving your calves, and no longer resorts to this risky method. I wish your operation success moving forward, and yourself, and your family all the best! Kind regards👍😃☺️
MessyJC no kidding and thats not the proper way to move calves away from feeder i about jumped outta my chair when i saw that hopefully she was shown proper way
Hello SANTO, I am Abdul Ghafoor from Pakistan I really very much like this kind of work cattle farm Dairy Farm. Especially out of Pakistan where all needs of Cow purely are available as in Argentina. When ever I have a chance to see this kind of videos, I feel alone to myself as I have no opportunity for this business. I always pray for those people's who are doing this business like you SANTO may God shower his blessings on you with success and good health. This is my dream to do this work but still I am not able to do. I am hoping for the best till my last breath. Best of luck all of you.

Any Indian here, thinking this need to adapt in India also. We need to start farming by forming organization and merge the fields.
It looks like a polluting factory to me, rather than a farm close to nature
