Thanks Mama Sue. Don't have an air fryer, but will use a skillet. Never tried them with mayo, sounds good. Just a word to the wise. There was a house fire, caused by a plugged in air fryer that was not turned on, just plugged in sitting on a countertop. Fire chief highly recommends pulling the plug when not in use. Didn't give a brand name. Extensive damage to the home. Just wanted to let you know.I live just east of Pittsburgh.

I remember when my mama used to butter the bread and make a grilled cheese on The griddle pan.... But now I make a quick easy grilled cheese that is lower in fat basically put your bread in the toaster after you toast your bread put a sliced cheese then stick the sandwich in the microwave for approximately 30 seconds to melt the cheese and serve it with some tomato soup..... It's an easier safer way to make grilled cheese.... Especially for children...
My family and I love grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup especially in the winter time. We haven't tried to make them yet in the air fryer but we will now. So happy you were safe thru the bad weather and tornadoes Mama Sue! I live in Oklahoma so we know all too well about tornadoes. We have basically the same kind of weather as you all do in Alabama. Tornado Alley! But I wouldn't live anywhere else. This is my home. Good and bad weather. I want to get your first 2 cookbooks. Not sure when I'll be able to but when your 3rd one comes out I want it also. Lol! So happy for you and congratulations on your upcoming 3rd cookbook! That's such exciting news! They came out beautiful! I've made them with real Cheddar cheese--not a fan of the process cheese food, and they were really good. The air fryer is the easiest way to go.
I love grilled cheese with ham and mustard.
