  • This is Part 1 of a 2 part Video.
In this video I wanted to share just how good the toasties really are done in an air fryer. What makes them so good? and whats the drawbacks if any.
The first thing there not dry like a toasted sandwich sometimes tends to be, these are a nice golden brown on the outside with a delicate crunch to them I would say there a light sandwich rather than a heavy fill your belly sandwich.
There reasonably quick to cook in the air fryer, no preheat needed unlike a sandwich toaster that has to be preheated, and its consistent, 205c for 7 minutes turning over after 5 minutes that never changes.
Depending on the ingredients used they can be made pretty cheaply , this one came out at 50p
Overall it tastes great, inexpensive, cooks quick and doesn't use to much power.
The only drawback I could find is quantity, I can only get one at a time in my air fryer which is 3.5 litres, not to much of a hardship for me but if you wanted to cook up a few you might have to do them one at a time unless your air fryer can hold 2 slices of bread next to each other.

    Very good.
I do not have any parchment similar to what you used, I cut a strip of parchment slightly longer than the sandwich and put this in the fryer. Easy then to lift out for flipping over and then for removing.
