Im sick of reading and hearing that us Newcastle fans are dreaming of signing the best and most expensive players in the world, that couldn't be any further from the truth. All we want is some commitment, we'd be happy to see similar levels of investment as West Ham, Aston Villa, Everton, just to make us competitive in the league and help the club and the team move in the right direction. We don't expect instant success, we don't expect instant investment, we don't expect Mbappe, we just want to love our club again and go into a weekend with positivity and excitement to see the team play and hope that we can win, because for most of the past 14 years the club has shown close to zero ambition and was ran as a glorified advertising board for an owners business totally free of charge. Fans go into every weekend with nothing but anxiety just hoping that we put in some type of performance and if we do get beat it isn't a thrashing.
Even after the takeover and the positivity it has caused around the fans and club over the last 24 hours, go and ask any Newcastle fan and we still see the club in real danger of relegation, that is due the lingering negativity of the past 14 years.

Before Mike Ashley, the club were regularly playing European football. It wouldn’t have taken much for that to continue under Ashley. It might be hard for other fans to get their heads around but to him there was no difference between 5th and 15th. In fact, he would have rather finished 15th because that means they didn’t need to invest in a bigger squad for Europe. That was demonstrated under Pardew in the Europa League. The club’s league form suffered dramatically and they only signed one player that previous summer. Subsequently they made noises about European football being counterproductive. The last time the training ground was updated it was state of the art, one of the best in the country. Fast forward to today they use wheelie bins for ice baths and paddling pools to relax in. The club has been used as a vehicle to advertise sports direct. That’s it. Before they used to have ambition - sometimes it didn’t work, but sometimes it did. Now with Ashley gone, the fans are just happy to not have an owner who was destroying any hint of ambition that came before him

Congrats to the Newcastle football community. Rest assured you have one of the best owners around who is well-known worldwide as a big-time investor in multiple industries. They have the financial resources to take any entity to the next level. We're talking about a State Sovereign Wealth Fund of immense proportions.
I still fondly remember the days of Ginola, Asprilla, Les Ferdinand and etc. They made the sport of football really enjoyable to watch. Hopefully the board and new owners can elevate the status of Newcastle. Its been a long time coming and it has finally come.
Very soon you're gonna see a power shift in the Premier League, a club transforming into a powerhouse jauggernaut along the lines of PSG.
    An exciting new era begins...

I think alot if people are assuming because more money is available for players that they are going to lines of good ones knocking down doors to move to rainy England. Even if you don't want to be there. Also keep in mind how many teams are after the obviously above average talented youngters.
Not to mention established talent. If Newcastle wants to be where they once were on the radar, then the scouting, the academy and even the stadium will have to all improve. Can you buy a team in this day and age? Yes. You can. But why not call P.S.G. and ask to see their CL. Trophy case while your at it. And please please try to recall all the teams at the top of the league have all have or had greats that grew up with the club. There's work to be done at every level in Newcastle.

Mansour bought city in 2008 and didn't win the league until 2012. It is not gonna be like the £500 million boost like in career mode.
