You're absolutely right, Easterlings are very cool indeed. They saw me to both of my victories in my tournament debut at 2017's Scouring of Stirling-shire, including a first-round big win over GBHL Harry's highly competitive force of Hobbits, Elves and Dwarves.
The Easterlings will be my only Evil Battle Company and army (except the Nine), as they're the only Evil models I can bring myself to paint. I am very jealous of your metal collection, and had a happy-dance moment the other day when the 10 metal Kataphraktii arrived.

No, mine are bare metal. Some of them still aren't assembled, so I even get to put them together!

Another great video, I found the Easterling company slightly frustrating, many of the companies with access to cavalry can promote their infantry models to cavalry without having to get lucky on the reinforcement chart. Also because warriors and Kataphrakts have separate profiles regular warriors cannot buy a horse until they become heroes which means getting more than your heroes mounted is going to require some good rolling for this warband.
Would really like to see Dol Guldur next.

I don't agree that heroes cannot buy horses from the get go. See mirkwood warband in the book as an example. The warband foregoes recruitment rolls in favor of buying horses.

Hm currently building up my first army (Goblin Town because I bought the box so why not?) but Easterlings are pretty cool. Their looks are indeed very pleasing the only Good armies that can keep up with that IMHO are Fiefdoms and Dale (yes I love the looks of Dale xD).

there was a supplement that added eastern style classes of fighters with magic like powers. Fans nicknamed it "book of weeaboo fightan magic"

Mmm, my thoughts after watching this:
    1) wonder why mounted warriors can not become Black Dragons! That’s not very nice is it
    2) wonder why we struggle to get mounted warriors on 6s when other factions get mounted warriors a lot easier and faster that us
    3) Easterlings are VERY cool

I'm going to assume that this is future-proofing, and that the Kataphraktii will have what is now the Black Dragon upgrade as standard. There's no way our glorious lord and master would leave Easterlings the way they are, considering Adam's love for his personal army of swarthy men from the East.
