Wow, Fitzroy bikes still around? I used to bicycle shop hop around Melbourne. Love the 4 weathers proof messenger outfit.
Ya looks like it! Hell ya he is def prepared
as a former messenger in NYC from the 80s and 90s this ride is tops! thank you and subbed!👍
Thank you Jackie Chan!!! 😂😂
I be love my flap top. I used to have a roll top and the flap top is so much easier and faster and fluid when you opening your bag a millions times a day and it stays just as dry.
Also with phone pouches I always cut off the top flap of them when I have to get a new one because they just get in the way that way it’s fast and fluid to put it and take it out. When it rains I just put the phone in my pocket it rain jacket/wind breaker pocket.
Also another pro tip is to get locking skewer (locking axles) on you bikes. You’ll never have to carry or put on a cable or a heavy chain again. I just use a Abus 410 mini u lock. They sell the locking skewers on amazing for like $35. It’s a really good investment.
Those are great tips ! Thank you for sharing 💕😃
MAN LIKE KAT!!!!!!!
My favorite Aussie🖤🖤
😊😊🙌
Lovely stuff! Really interesting 👍👍
Cheers mate!
EYYYYYYY I met that guy! :D A welcome surprise for CZcams to recommended to me.

Moved out from Melbourne just last year, and o I miss those tram ding ding sound.
Beautiful city!! Love it
my LG G7 from years ago stopped working on the cable and headphones.. been using a wireless charger biking for a year and a bit.. cost about the same as the amount of cables I would have killed. minus33 merino and trek 7300fx disc mullet aerocruiser 6ix waterfront
hell ya i should get an extra battery pack too
cool bike, cool guy, cool video. This is it lads!
Hahaha yessss cheers mate !
That was cool. I carry too much stuff too so good to see I'm not alone :)
Cheers! Haha ya better to be safe than sorry !
Great run down of all that goes into getting the job done. I'm glad I got out of this job before you needed racks and all that extra weight. Would not have enjoyed it if I could not ride unencumbered on the front end.
Cheers mate ! I appreciate that. Ya they also have those newer cargo bikes now which probably help !
this is quality content!
Cheers i appreciate that 😊

what's the name of his bag? pretty cool!
Trash messenger bag - vortex
classic CETMA rack, nice
It’s a classic for sure!
Proper city crusher ❤
Hell ya !
Great explanation of gear carried and bicycle build. Curious though, does he receive $ for promoting / showcasing all the brands via stickers and patches. I am naive as to how it works. The first thing I do with products is cover up or remove branding where possible without damaging item.
cheers! i think he just likes to show support for the brands he loves since most of them are smaller businesses by bike people. everyone is different though!
He is doing it to look cool like a fixed gear rider, instead of the kook he is.
Did I miss what he said his saddle was?
Pretty sure is specialized power saddle 👍
2:57 LOL
😂😂😂
14:25
🤣🤣🤣🤣
What the name of the hip bag I like it
"skin grows back" brand cheers!
What helmet was that?
Kask brand , I think he said mojito
his bike is a little busy and looks too heavy for me, personally I used to run a '96 26r rigid steel single speed that barely weighed 9 kilos as my main go to while messengering (I had approx four other 26r bikes as back up also) during my 15 yrs on the road. I never used a backpack for a bag either, just a single strap messenger bag for me and it swallowed large items with ease (disc rotors, clutch kits, client lunches etc)
Wow! 4 other ones! Nice to have back ups , were they built similar or for different purposes
@@garysprojects the backups are all '90's mtb's that I still own today so in that respect they were all built similarly with gears, shifters etc. I ran the single speed for the majority of the time because it was cheaper to run although the parts i threw at it were high end components (pauls, white industries, king) they lasted longer than the standard 'S' components
homie has stuff everywhere around and on him. of course his bike will be busy. obviously he doesn't give two shits about weight and neither should you.
What bottom bracket are you running?
Shimano deore hollow tech 2 pretty sure
@@garysprojectsapex crankset so just a cheap sram one, would like a cane creek hell bender one day
Mix a few of these types of videos with your rebuild videos and maybe a few of you just riding around.
Bro had the415king as a screenshot
Hahaha yesss! Cheers mate will do my best 🙏
What brand is your backpack? 🤓
Not sure where he got it from but
Bag is trash messenger bag
Model is vortex
callummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Hahaha
Start from the top
Make it drop
Its a wap
Wap it up send it out
What bag is that
Bag is trash messenger bag,
Model is vortex
Messangers bike should be light, preferebly 1 gear, with simple but effective brakes, and possibly as light as possible! This is...
I don't know...
A gravel bike with the flat bars???😅
He probably built it to what he needs it for lol
I think the days of messengers riding on drop bar-road-type-fixies are a thing of the past/ starting to fade. I live in a big city on the west coast and am starting to see more flat-bar/multi-gear bikes (like the one in this clip) being used by messengers.
Yeah doesn’t seem like it was what it used to , I remember seeing a lot of ppl ran straight track bikes , pretty cool
@@garysprojects depends on the city, in DC we had hills, and I knew only one guy with a track bike... If I had to do it over again though (who knows, maybe I will ;) ), I would go single speed with drum brakes....
good gear ,but running too heavy for my taste
cheers mate
Weighed in about 15 kg as built
Probably could scrub some weight
q: what's lockfoot a: (redacted)... brandon lockfoot
😂😂😂
Sortof straight
Tru
Knee caps are overrated. You can still ride without them.
😂😂😂
hmm, no way, I've ways said, if you have to fall, better to fall on your head than on a knee... heads have helmets and you don't need one much anyway, but knees.... :)
Fixed gear is dead
? How
Meh, Schwalbe Marathon tires are junk and obsolete, that rack looks dangerous in a crash and straight seat post on a frame that isn't too big for you? Not really feeling it. If you are gonna dress and sticker bomb like that you should probably ride fixed too, lol.
Lol
I like them
That rack is one of the best ones you can get
Seatpost came with the bike
(Need a layback)
Yoooooooo
Sticker bombed bike?
Lol have you seen my fixed gear?
@@callumjefferies6085 Sorry for hating on your delivery bike bro, I have problems and personal issues.
Useless bike with that mtb large handlebar get a city one
R u sure
@@garysprojects i mean, i do deliveroo, cant immagine passing cars and angles with that handlebar, better a road/gravel one ora a city handlebar
I guess different people have different preferences, you do you though 💕
@@ilcorvo980they are cut to about 700-740 cm, I think they are fine
@@callumjefferies6085 bro 700mm its huge for city, if you pass trough 2 cars, or in traffic you are in trouble, why do you think there are fixie bikes with ridiculous tiny bar? For that reason! Big handlebars are for mtb
