Honestly, this is such a good deal, I can't believe it's real. Most animation/art students get into tens of thousands of dollars in debt to learn on their own, when you can spend a few hundred bucks to learn more effectively.
All the best to you guys. You're helping a lot of people getting into animation in such an easy manner.
I am so in! It's been a minute since the kickstarter but I cannot wait to finally get my hands on the course. See you on the forum!
Been waiting for awhile, finally coming out.
Can't watit for this. Awesome awesome awesome all the way
will get this as soon as it goes life for sure
I am so excited for you lot! This is amazing!!
Thank you John!
So cool, what a rig ... Beyond imagination in blender ohhhh, even blender studios don't have this type of rig...
Why r u not making Course on This type of amazing rig ...
I am waiting for this type of production ready rig....
Thanks for the kind words! We actually have started work on a comprehensive rigging course due to popular demand. We hope to have it ready by the end of the year or early next year.
This is going to be so dopeđ„čđ„č
Hey so if I buy the Blender Basics right now, when I get this full animation course will I have to pay the full price again?
Hey, If you buy the Blender Basics now, and decide to upgrade to the animation course later when there is no promotion, we'd be deducting the price of the Blender Basics for you ($95), but out of the full price of the animation course ($395).
So you'd be paying $395 - $95 = $300 to upgrade later.
@@BrianKouhiYep thats perfect, thanks a ton!
Iâll try on my computer later then my phone Iâm on now but Iâve done the captcha several times to check out the website and I feel like I got some of them right but it wonât let me through, thought Iâd bring it up! Course looks cool!
Hey Brandon, there shouldn't be any captcha to check out the website. You should just be able to visit www.toanimate.ca
This is the enrollment page for the Animation Course (at the very bottom you can see the current curriculum): toanimate.teachable.com/p/animation-course
@@BrianKouhi all right that worked thanks, not sure why that was happening before
Please when will this be out... Been anticipating for it
Hey, this is the launch video for the course, meaning the course is now out!
Is this course updated for 4.x?
Hey, we update lessons that become out of date, and have updated all of our rigs and assets to work with Blender 4+
hello, will you cover space switching in the course?
Hey, we don't currently have that in the current curriculum, but it's definitely a good suggestion. We'll look into that once our full curriculum is complete.
what if i have shit-ass mac desk computer from late 2012
would it work for the assets? and will the animation be fluid enough, or will it have some issues with the fluidity
I am looking for a blender animation course to learn Technical animation like Mechanical machine animation. Please help if such course is available.
probably an unusual request but any chance for a power purchasing parity arrangements or income based discounts for people lliving in third world countries.
Is there any possibility that you guys can also do a rigging course so that we can rig and animate at this level?
We've actually started work on a rigging course due to very popular demand from our students. A comprehensive course takes a long time to make, so we likely won't be releasing it until the end of the year, or more likely early next year :)
@@BrianKouhi That's fantastic news! Thank you!.. Worth the wait!! And if we've already purchased the Animation Course would we have to separately purchase the rigging course?
@@nikelombambo Yes as it would be a completely separate beast of its own, but current students would definitely get a discount.
@@BrianKouhi Alright, well awesome! I will purchase it regardless. I am eagerly waiting!! I will be starting your animation course in a few weeks and I am super excited. Can I transfer this knowledge and workflow to Maya?
@@nikelombambo Absolutely. Animation is animation, the only thing stopping you from applying it to a new program would be the technical aspect of that software.
I've had previous co-workers switch from Maya to Blender within a week after taking our Blender Basics course so it's definitely very doable.
What do you think about the AI that been out lately ? Do you still think learning to animate manually could be the answer to the future ?
Absolutely. I don't see AI taking over animation that easily. AI is a tool, and perhaps in the future animators would be able to produce the same quality of work at a faster rate using AI tools.
Is the course worth getting if you already know the basics of 3D animation in Blender?
Hello! We have lectures and exercises for all experience levels. So if you already have some animation foundations, you can continue growing your skills with our lectures and exercises on body mecanics and acting. It depends on what your personal goals are!
In this course are we making our own rig or nah?
And is theres any return policy?
Thxx
Hey Oliver, the focus of the course is on building a strong animation foundation. we don't touch rigging, but we provide students with feature level character rigs. In terms of refunds, with nearly a thousand students so far, we haven't had anyone refund due to lesson quality. You could always email us and we'll discuss things via email if it comes to that :)
Hello, can I use the course models to create animations for my Portfolio? Like, I took the course and I'm not sure if I can do the animations with the models.
Absolutely. Feel free to use any animations made with our rigs on your demoreel. Commercial use however, is not allowed.
@@BrianKouhi Cool, your courses are wonderful
@@cle2163 Thank you! Happy you're enjoying the courses :)
Hi! There are feedback in this course ?
Even though the Animation Course doesn't include feedback sessions, it comes with access to our private Circle community where students can share their work and get feedback from other students and occasionally from instructors.
The Animation Mentorship is the course with 12 feedback sessions on shots and 1 feedback session on your demo-reel, but that package is currently sold out. Once spots open up, our Animation students will be the first in line to upgrade.
Hello, are you studying rigging or just animation?
Hey, our focus with the animation course is to give students a strong animation foundation. The course has over a hundred lessons and does not include rigging.
Rigging needs a comprehensive course for itself, which is something we're starting to work on :)
@@BrianKouhi Thank you for your answer, I model in Blender and have now started studying rigging and I would also like to know about animation in order to have a connection between the rig and the animation itself. I'm thinking about taking an animation course or not.
I also want to ask, please tell me, is it possible to view the course recordings with subtitles? I am only practicing English, unfortunately, but I really want to take your course.
@@Leksakon_8848 we actually just finished adding English subtitles to all of our lessons. We'll be looking into translating the subtitles to some other languages as well in the future.
Please add Indonesian. Indonesia is one of the largest populations in the world.
Do we animate the scene in blender in the course?
He Mohesh, our goal with the course is to give students a strong animation foundation and teach the principles of animation so that they can create any kind of shot and not just make a copy of the instructors shot.
And yes we use Blender in this course :)
Do you teach lip sync animation in the course ?
Yes, we'll have a ton of lessons on face and lipsync in the advanced section of the course.
When you add the advance lesson on the course or do they already on course ?
@@maheshchathuranga8414 We have one more (4 part) lesson coming to the Intermediate section, afterwards we'll be posting Advanced lessons. So in the coming week or two we'll begin uploading the Advanced lessons.

Is it for free? Or do we have to subscribe?
the course is $395 on their website, the CZcams video costs 1 like
Hey, you can find more information on the course and pricing here: www.toanimate.ca/
Free ?
This CZcams channel and all of its videos are free. The comprehensive course we spent 3 years and tens of thousands of dollars developing is not.
â@@BrianKouhi Is this course finished or still continue updating and uploading lectures.
We're always going to continue updating lessons and uploading new ones, as of right now we have 90% of core course lessons up, but there are a ton of additional lessons that we plan to create overtime and add to the curriculum. We post in our private community everytime a new lesson is added.
I think it's too expensive for its price point right now. I have tried several Blender courses in uDemy, and some courses there even cover much more ground and comprehensive/extensive than based on what I saw in TOAnimate's curriculum and previews. Nevertheless, I haven't tried this course yet. I will update this comment once the courses become actually affordable, and I have actually tried it. But for now, IMHO, a sale or discount on their course will best benefit them, their sales, and help them get real traction. 400 bucks is way too steep rn.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on our Animation School.
We understand your concern about the current price point and appreciate your feedback.
Our Animation Course is the most comprehensive course on the market and outside of the ever growing number of lessons, students get access to hundreds of dollars worth of feature quality assets, 100+ unique custom made voice clips to animate, and lifetime support in our private Circle community.
Our community members also enjoy benefits like discounts on addons and partnerships, job postings, feedback from students and instructors and we also have plans for future prized contests.
A better comparable to our school would be other Animation Schools such as iAnimate, AnimSquad, Animation Mentor and Animschool, which are thousands of dollars for each class.
While we understand affordability is important, we believe the value and resources provided in our course justify the price. We appreciate your suggestion for a sale or discount, and we'll consider it for future promotions. We hope you'll consider trying our course when it becomes more accessible. Thank you for your interest.
Is it available in udemy??
Hey, our courses are only hosted by us on Teachable.
@@Simkiway okay. It would be good if it's available in udemy.
