Some of the locations on the Big Island I was unable to go to because I simply did not have enough time but would highly recommend are..

3. Punalu’u Beach (Black sand beach)
4. Rainbow Falls
5. Papakolea Green Sand Beach
6. Manini'owali Beach (Kua Bay)
7. Pololū Valley Lookout
8. White Sands Beach Park (Magic Sands Beach Park)
9. Kealakekua Bay
10. Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park
P.S. It is taboo in Hawaiian culture to take rocks home with you, especially lava rocks for it is believed to cause bad luck, in fact there is a pile of rocks next to a post office on the Hilo side of all the people that took rocks home with them and ended up sending it right back to Hawai’i :)
