There's still a lot of subpar fighters signed to the UFC today to be used as a stepping stone for upcoming fighters. Kris Moutinho is a recent one who looked very average. There's some guys in the UFC who have kiddie level wrestling/grappling ability. Those guys wouldn't fair well against average guys who wrestled in high school.
