4 years from now he will still be looking for a car for his daughter
I have a 2007 Ford Fusion SEL currently has 366,000 miles on it and all I’ve done to it is regular maintenance, water pump, one coil and one wheel bearing. Still my daily driver, everything still works. It has never left me stranded yet I have 2 newer vehicles one is a Cadillac Srx that needs an expensive repair to run again. I have always been a GM fan but this Ford has made a believer out of me.
CAN I BUY IT PLEWSEE
🧢
Ford fusions are awesome
@@fusionX218 I’ve had 2 and loved both
I got a ford flex 2009 180k miles. I sped up to overtake someone and the car broke down. Started making really bad sounds and running rough. Oil light came on and it shut off. Now when I start it the car doesn’t stay running and runs rough. I have to tap the pedal repeatedly like it’s a classic car lmao. 3.5 V6. No idea what’s wrong sent it to my mobile mechanics house for him to look at it.
My 2009 & 2010 Chrysler Town & Country both had the 4.0l. Lots of power. I never had transmission issues. Extremely comfortable and so easy to work on. Had three kids and two big dogs!
That's the same comment I wanted to write. 2010, 4liters, 175000 Km, very roomy and comfortable, no issues so far except battery, tires, perfect minivan for the family!
My 4.0 blew a coolant hose (common problem) but unlike my 3.8 it didn’t say when the coolant was low. So the coolant all leaked out which lead to the engine overheating without warning which lead to engine failure.
Not saying it’s the engines fault but that coolant hose is a very common failure point on these older town and countries and grand caravans whether it be the 3.8 or 4.0. That one had 180k miles and I paid 4k for it. Blew up at 205k. I use these for work and put tons of miles on them.
Last week I bought a 2010 town and country limited with the 4.0 and 116k miles for 1800. Hoping it serves me well I’m going to replace hose and all fluids just as preventative maintenance.
Best mopar engine in my opinion is the 3.6l Pentastar motors. Particularly 2016 and up as they fix the rocker arm ticking problem in the newer models which is the only issue these have. Engines are super easy to service and the rocker arms aren’t hard to replace at all when they do break on the older ones. Had a 2016 Chrysler 300s drove till 272k miles when it was totaled. 2014 grand caravan totaled at 240k. 2016 grand caravan sold at 220k. All had no severe issues knock on wood.
@@topdollarmobile7460 I blew the coolant Y-connector in both my vans. $15 for a metal replacement. Plastic components get brittle overtime. Easy fix.
Randy you have to get her that mini van, you buy loads with no real use but this one has the biggest reason for you to get it. Hope you make the right decision my friend.
I replaced the engine in a Dodge Caravan, then had the transmission rebuilt. I ended up giving it to my daughter for college because I knew it would be reliable for her to travel long distance. She drove it until Michigan Rust killed the frame.
You forgot to check the oil again after starting the Chrysler minivan to check for coolant seepage..
Your right Randy,Jags and Land Rovers are unreliable here in the UK to, great looking cars but we think the same.
So expensive to repair and service charges are extortionate, it doesn’t matter what country your in.
We mis the old Macco 700$ paint job videos the old days
I bought a 09 town and country 3.8 with a tick and 102k miles drove it for over a year and a half and 20k miles before the engine blew lol but I bought it really cheap like $1200. Afterwards I found a cheap engine off eBay for $400 along with a seal kit new timing chain water pump all together was about $600. So 2 years and 40k miles later it runs like a brand new van. No issues at all.
GET THE MARINNER I had the ford version as my first car at 170k miles all the way to 250k and I drove the crap out of it and it NEVER broke that 2.5l 4cyl is almost indestructible
Yup it’s actually a mazda engine!
Randy, I highly doubt 3 car seats will fit in the back seat of that Mariner. The reason I say this, is because I tried fitting 3 baby seats in the back of a Santa Fe, and it wouldn't work, it was close, but no bueno
No way 3 car seats are fitting in there.
Most of the older benzes and bmws here in Finland have like 300-400k miles and and run forever. Cheap first reliable cars for students
On board for the Minivan. Super nice ride for Mom's and Kids!
Good deal Randy, I think the mini van would be great for your daughter ! Great dad 🎉🎉🎉
Randy, You’re back on form.
This reminds me of the old days.
Yeah I think that’ll go well. Keep up the great work randy, excited to see the new cars soon! Keep it up Randy!!!
Randy, keep doing what you're doing. I wish you well, buddy glad to see your up and about..
2011+ Chrysler town and country’s aren’t bad. We have one with 180,000 on it and she’s been small problematic but I know people with 600,000+ on it.
Love these videos, Randy 😊
Jaguars, BMWs, Mercedes, etc., it's not that here in Europe they are better than those sent to the United States (in fact, I know several BMWs with a common fault that are scary...), but apart from having Better parts availability generally tend to make many fewer kilometers, or miles if we extrapolate it to America, since the distances are usually much smaller.
Plot twist! I was here for the fancy cars, but stayed for the minivan redemption arc. That final minivan though? Absolute winner! Totally calling shotgun for all future grandpa duty 👫
If that mercury has the 2.3, it’s a nice little car.
The 2.3 is much more stout than the 2.0 l. I blown two of the 2.0l up in a Ford Ranger I had 😊😊
Great video Randy ❤❤❤
Thoroughly enjoy your videos, very engaging.
Yayyy!!! This is exciting!!! I wonder which vehicle auction you will win for your daughter 🤘🏽☺️
Oh man imagine we all like cars and stuff and giving a best motive on our children a surprise,oh man,im excited for you like if it was my daughter.
I really want to see both on the chanel Mariner and the minivan(needs some love) but with the motive and the love for the cars it will be a very nice video like always.
Hope you are feeling better.
Good group of cars. Best wishes for your daughter's car
We seen the van before! And It’s even got blind spot monitoring!! I would definitely get it!!!
Hey Randy, I just saw your copilot walk around from this morning. It’s great that you’re trying to get that SUV or the minivan for your daughter because she has a family that needs one right now. I hope you get the SUV first since that one is going up for sale first I know it’s at auction but or you are also going to try to get the minivan. I hope you can get both of them not at the same time but I hope you can get both of them and when you give her the. when you give her the SUV first, maybe eventually you’ll get her that minivan that you just looked at to because I think that would be a great surprise for her. If you get her what she really wants is the minivan but I’ll be happy to see either one or both on your channel because I know you’ll probably put it on your channel 1st. If you don’t that’s fine but anyhow, I can’t wait to see your next video buddy. I hope you’re feeling better. It looks like you’re feeling Better. see you on the video, so make any home I am can’t wait to see your next video. Whatever you have planned buddy I’ll talk to you later.
Hope your getting better ,great video
I told my girl if she buys something that isn't reliable after I told her I wouldn't then I'm not working on it when it breaks lol
Randy!!! You have been trying to get a vehicle for your Daughter for several MONTHS!! All I can say is : DO IT! You remind me of my Dad!
Hello Randy. The 2016 Chevrolet Cruz is a good looking car. The Porche Pan Ameria is a good looking car even though it's got damage on the passenger side and a missed matched door.
saw that little cruze and thought of your uberman days back when you had that little cruze on your channel
Owned plenty of German cars and all ran and drove great their entire life with minimal issues all with very high milage
Randy that Porsche would make for some really great content. Resurrecting cars that need help and putting them back on the road.
You should have taken a look at that Nisan Cube next to the red Dodge Journey and the White Fiat 500 (most clearly seen at 2:17 if anyone was wondering)
You are right randy here in South Africa VW is the topseller and one of the best vechicle brands to drive
Your a good Dad.
Hey, Randy, another of those cars and trucks I believe that the forklift is doing the damage to the suspension, just saying, love you man. Keep rocking
If I had this facility tge vehicles that run and drive would be moved under their own power and not forked! Is just common sense! 😊
If you got it cheap enough it would be cool to see a beat Porsche get brought back to life.
That town and country would run forever and also that kia minivan in front of it.
Randy, I'm a member of copart, and I've watched auctions in a bunch of different states and I think they use other facilities to run up bids at auctions, then I go back and check a day later and a majority of them that supposedly sold, didn't really sell
High trim minivans are my weakness and my guilty pleasure. With that being said, you should absolutely try to get that Town & Country.
To the right of the X5! Nice Chrysler van!😊😊😊😊
Good video 😀
Reminds me of a 944 a friend owned once upon a time..
I don't get it. You trash BMW, Mercedes, and Jaguar for being junk and then get intrigued by one😂😂
Not to mention the Cruze he considers a good car smh
Keep us updated on it
The pulley on the alternator for the Chrysler looked like it was wobbling.
Good job
The Porsche would be great for the channel. Especially if you get it for a decent price
Randy if that Jaguar has got the 2.0 endura engine your right they are junk but I’ve got a 3.0 v6 diesel and it’s never given me any problems
Randy you forgot to check the oil again after you started the overfilled minivan
Good Morning!
I remember that Porsche you had it was a white one quite a few years ago
I like the Porsche!
Whoa I like the Chrysler 🤘🏽💙
Get her the caravan dude 😊
That Chrysler mini - van has good possibility for your daughter.
Great video. When are we going to see the Dominos Pizza Car?
At 9:40 minutes I seen a Mitsubishi mirage. If you ever get the opportunity to do a review on the mirage please do as I own one of those and I actually love the car
Go for a mini van if you have 3 kids it is so much easier than a small suv I have 6 kids and had 2 mini vans ps Toyota makes the best mini van
Either way Randy for ur daughter & grandchildren think both Mercury Mariner Premium with near 200,000 miles & sky blue chromed Chrysler Town & County be good choices
Hi Randy the next video can you show the Toyota Camry that was shown at 9:40
The 2nd gen Escape/Mariner/Tribute was a great vehicle.
The 3rd gen Escape was junk.
She'll be happier with that 2nd gen for sure.
Good morning Randy
Buying that Mercury either way will be a win win. They are reliable and if taken care of will break 300k miles.
Mariner is the same as the Escape. My 5'-3" wide is on her third.
Replace the plastic oil housing if not already done
When i had that Mariner you had to have all the doors unlocked to open the back.
Wonder why your jump pack doesn't charge once the alternator is spinning
What's the betting the previous owner heard that noise coming from under the hood and thought the engine needed more oil ( hence the engine being overfilled), but not realising the noise was the 'Alternator' on its last legs.
When I was a teenager I over filled my car with oil because my neighbor next door told me not to let it run out. I ended up with a bad engine that would overhead. Probably a young girl mistake.
On the key there's a button on the other side of the panic button hit that button x2 and the hatch will unlock. And hit the unlock button on the door first.
I hear you on the jag,bmw and Benz nice but so expensive too fix. Porsche think it needs too much. Mercury looks decent
that van looked real good until the hood was opened, would rather se a 3.8 or 3.3 with an A604 trans, the 4.0 was not bad just repairs cost a lot more
I like the Mariner but only with the 3 kiter, not the 4 cylinder.
Hey Randy, did I miss something? Did you finally get the title for that little Kia sedan?
Randy, you are so right about the European vehicles, not if but when it’s gonna break down & then get a loan from the bank or have a big roll of money in your pocket.
Jaguars have always been like Alpha Romeo's. Fantastic to drive till something breaks. The newer ones I wouldn't think would cost much to repair. Tata's are really cheap, one of the cheapest car I know. So Jag parts would be similar I'd expect and if not I'd go to Tata to get the part.
randy you should really get her that minivan
Good Morning There My Good Little Bro Randy Lee Shear Of Auto Auction Rebuilds
I totally agree with what you said about the Beemers and Jags and such...but man, you just bought a new Mercedes for yourself!! LOL
See if u can find a decent Kia optima sxl I’m looking for one
With all that extra oil in the pan. No telling what kind of damage has been done.
Trunk might have to replace because might jam in it
Mariner and escape in that age are common for motor failure in the tail gate
But it opened..
I don't think tailgates open while the engine is on for safety.
It was probably locked. My Toyota had a lock on the tailgate and also locked when the doors were locked.
I like jaguars and land rovers but they do have there issues 😂 big time
Randy by the time you buy your daughter a car your grandkids will be graduating
The mini vans oilwas probably moving up and down when it was fork lifted , you should have cleaned it and re checked
Jaguars are unreliable in Europe too. The fact that we have diesel engines makes them a little better in terms of longevity. The same goes for every European brand, especially BMW’s. There are millions of taxis that are Mercedes and VW, or even BMW’S. Service cost is certainly cheaper and the same goes for parts availability.
The channel needs the Porsche!!!
Rebuild the panamera (make it sick red or so 🚗
Randy, Jaguars are trash on this side of the Atlantic too. No offence taken 😂😂
Look at the charger right in front of the bmw at 21:34
Im sure the Jag just needs a battery jump.
bmw x5's arent all that bad all you really need to do is just properly maintain them and they will do just fine i know someone that has an x5 with 280k miles on it and still looks like the day they bought it
Right that’s the thing folks don’t understand, maintenance and preventative maintenance is key; folks wait until it’s damn near broke to say something is expensive to fix 😂😂or wait until 10k or 15k to change oils and actually believe oils and certain oils are lifetime 😂😂
3rd in line 😂😂😂
The new X5s (2019+) with the B58 engine shared with Toyota are very reliable but jags are trash I agree
Those Mainers suck to change the alternators on.
