Beautiful bike, just 2 problems... 1. Those decals on the fairing. Those are LAPD, not CHP (or even CHiPs) decals. That seal underneath "Police" is the city of Los Angeles' seal. CHP, a state agency, wouldn't have a city or county seal. The motto on the fairing is also the LAPD's motto. Also, CHP (or the show) doesn't have "Police" on their bikes. CHP uniforms are pretty distinct, so they didn't have to have "Police" on their motorcycles. You knew when it was a CHP motor officer. 2. The CHiPs bikes didn't have a fairings on them. Just the basic windshield. As far as the reboot, that I'm not sure what bikes were used there, but in the original series I don't recall ever seeing one.

Isn't this the motorbike model that is in Terminator 2 (ridden by Robert Patrick)? I have been inlove with that model ever since I saw the movie as a kid.

If you want real “CHiPs”, scrap the fairing and get the handlebar mounted windshield. All the rest is legit!

Chips used the upgraded kz900-c2, and kz 1000 c1, I have an 84 kz 1000p. They are great bikes. But we’re not used in any filming of Chips

The kz 1000p was not used in chips. It was the older model with all glass fairing.
