wholey nostalgia overload again... That Neon era of GI Joe still had some good stuff. I loved that Duke and that BAT. I never had the silver headed Destro only the Gold so when they made that newer one I was stoked to get it.

Dan i want share a story as well after watching that video. Before covid i traveled all over to play Magic the Gathering Tournments. It was what i did for well over 10 years. Then covid hit and i felt lost the thing i traveled and did was just gone over night. Well then i Found your Eds, Narcs and other toy hunters videos and Then i got into finding all the toys and things i loved as a kid. Fast foward to now im still watching vids picking up toys and enjoying life. Thank you for the videos!

Wow Dan, this video should have been called GiftCon because you made out like a bandit! It's cool to see how generous the toy collecting community is with our favorite toy ambassador. Also those MOTU cosplayers were amazing! Merman and Teela look movie studio quality! 👍❤
I had that butterfly knife as a kid, I got it through a friend who left it at my house and then shortly after he moved. I remember the plastic on it smelling like a vinyl shower curtain, but being a ton of fun to play with. Never occured to me, none of the Turtles had that as a weapon, I just assumed it was one of the many weapons that came as an accessory attached to the sprue.

So much awesome in this video it’s hard to decide what to comment on. The 90s Spider-Man figures, Toy Quest booth and GI joe custom Boba Fett were my favorites. I’ve bought a few Black Major figs too, love his color decisions. It would be a long, long way for me to travel but I need to get to this show. Loved this video, take care!

A really aspect of this show not covered in this video.... not only does the lobby become a trading post during this show.. but hotel rooms themselves become trade rooms... IE one room will sell GI Joe's... another Marvel Legends... another Mythic Legions, etc etc.... one of the most surreal shows there is.. and I want to experience it one day.

Mer-man is amazing, but that Teela cosplay made my jaw drop harder than Castle Grayskull..
It's well made, but I never liked Earl Norem's interpretation of Teela's cobra armour, where the helmet is a separate piece with a big collar behind it.
Comparing it to how her action figures were designed, it just looks wrong to me.
@@Rocket1377 The more traditional single-piece Teela head dress may not translate as well in real life; too restrictive probably. I like how this looks like armor.

Another successful toy hunt! Love the wrestling knock-offs including the dodgy Hulk Hogan and something that really caught my eye (alongside the KO Power Rangers): Tiger from the SOMA line of Wrestlers, which I was gifted as a kid when I really wanted the Hasbro WWF figures😅

Man, I wish I could have gone. They moved it from last year, which was like 10 minutes from my house. I had a lot going on and couldn't make it there. Would have been cool to say hi to Dan.

The closest thing I can think of is flee markets, but they are not dedicated, so you have to be lucky.
Sure, there is some more niched flee markets, but they are often for older toys and not so much for 80's He Man, TMNT, SW and stuff like that, rather than teddy bears, and Märklin rail ways/trains and steam mashines...
I clearly remember Golden Girl and the Guardians of the Gemstar (and the catchy jingle). They were clearly put out by galoob to compete with She-Ra.
awesome haul and cool show. just a FYI when hunting for that GI joe Ninja lighting bike be careful as they are notorious for being fragile and brittle and a lot of the times they broke when you assembled them . the front prongs on the bike are a common breaking point.

i cant imagine how much you pay to ship the books to an event. or do you drive them down? I remember this show, saw you there. This year 2025 it will be at the GAS south convention center, what a great venue. Show just keeps getting bigger.
Here’s a cool fact about the reptile weapons. The katana was used in the movie theater sequence from scream two for the stab giveaway. So if you look at that scene, all the people are holding neon green reptile weapons.
I don't know if was Amazing Heroes or what, but there was some generic packaged reissued Toy Biz figures where they repacked The Wizard from the FF toy line and they were incredible peg warmers.

What struck me as interesting about that Mini Glo Kids KO plush that it was sold at Walmart. And I swear I've seen the head on it somewhere before, going to be driving me crazy remembering where from... It's not really Glo Worm.
