My favorite part of your toy show videos is when you step back, play the synth music, and show random toys from the show. It makes me sentimental and takes me back to my youth. Thanks for the great content!
This is really awesome. I went to my first toy show Friday hoping for a lot of neat stuff like this, but for a toy collector it was a huge disappointment. They listed some 100+ venders, but only maybe 10 had any real toys, the bulk of the venders were people selling fan art, clothing, games and hand made stuff plus weird stuff like a window installer and a cable internet installer. Lots of Funko Pops and Pokemon stuff. I didn't leave empty handed, I found a MIB Transformers: Prime Sharkticon Megatron for $40, a pink booted complete vintage Roboto for $20, and two indi hand made ReAction style clear lobster man figures for $30 each. The disappointment plus costing $40 just to get in the door, not sure I'll be back next year.
Those Megaman figures from Ban-dai are so cool I love how simple yet fun they are and how Mattel basically did a copy paste of that lines ideas for when they made the Megaman Battle Network toys from I was a kid.
Just wish we got more of them. The Robot Masters all look so cool. The Mattel line had a good number of Net Navis, but also loved doing Megaman veriants.
Love these videos and seeing all the cool stuff I used to have as a kid again, so many things I'd forgotten about over the years that keep popping back up here and there.
The Grayskull knockoff you found is a playset I discovered at a Dollar General here in Oklahoma. The figures that came with it were medieval in appearace, and the toys were called something like "Knights Vs. Wizards" This is supposed to be the evil wizard's tower.
Toy commercials be like "COLLECT ALL DESIGNS!!" Lol like kids had money to buy them all.😂 I remember crying begging my dad to get another StarCom character but yeah that never worked.🤣
Yeah. My Turbodactyl randomly broke 3 years ago. Was my childhood one - held up perfectly until that day. Did not fall, no impact - plastic just gave out & cracked from a light touch 🤷🏿♂️. Funny seeing that clear phone there too. I used to call those *Roboto Phones*.
Great video. I never had the Mega Man toys, though I remember seeing the commercial, & they looked great, reminding me of how excited I am for the Jada toy line. (& it’s awesome to see the Power Dome playset, that I did had)
Aloha Dan. I have an idea. Next year perhaps getting a hotel nearby for one night so you guys can start early in the morning. Not too many frequent stops. All you have to do is, wake up, bathroom, breakfast then to the convention. I understand you're trying to budget but the only thing I can think of is that to help you. If not save up for your first Saturday next year. I still suggest a hotel room for the night prior.

I feel like I wonder all this stuff! My Dad worked so hard to get this stuff for me and my siblings, if I only I knew I was gonna LOVE it and miss it when I got older. Especially now that I have kids of my own. Anyways, quick question... Any good Toy Shows coming up near me or surrounding states of me? Kind of wanna dig through those loose bins with my son!!! Dang! I actually had that bootleg MOTU thing in my hand at that booth. The vendor and I were trying to figure out what it was. I ended up passing on it because it had a sealed battery hatch for a light-up feature. I couldn’t open the battery compartment and assumed it was very corroded. The vendor said he bought it in a large batch of items and thought it looked like a MOTU item so he put that little Beast Man in front of it. But he wanted more than $10 for it. I think he wanted $35 originally. Too funny! Glad I put it back so Pixel Dan could add it to his collection.
I love seeing all of the vintage and even current toys on display like that. It's like going into an old Toys R Us that still has stuff from the 90s along with new toys. With the loss of TRU, the desire to just go to toy shows has increased. I really want to go to one myself, but finances and distance almost never allow me to. Those are some great finds! I remember having that light up MOTU power sword as a kid, but like most of the toy swords I had, it eventually broke and got lost somewhere. I saw some Thundercats Sword of Omens toys there too, and I still have one somewhere, minus the cover that goes over the batteries in the handle. Thanks for sharing your experience!

24:37 (time) that 2pack is very limited and rare theres only 3 2pack different characters as you can see at back of card. They were sold only at the store of Hollywood if I'm not mistaken. Only to exclusive to that Hollywood store. It should be a holy grail, its underrated item.🤷🏽♂️ awesome MOC

That Batman is a rerelease of the Deluxe Firebolt Batman from the Batman Returns line. Notably, the closest to a movie accurate costume the line put out. You need the backpack with the chest armor to complete the look, but that wasn't included in the 2 pack. Colors are still wrong, though.
The Ben-wolf isn't missing his snout, his mouth does open fully into four parts once you flip his head, also if I had the money that Power Ranger lot I would go for completely. I also notice some Ultraman and Kamen Rider and some Super Sentai items and I love Transformers
It’s been sooooo long since I’ve been to that toy show 😔. Mostly it’s the distance, about 3 1/2 hours to get there. And for many reasons I just can’t take driving that far , riding, no problem, actually driving, can’t do it 😑 😂. Maybe/hopefully in the near future I can get there again at least just one more time would be great.
I have a dedicated April O'Neil shelf with all the variants (and bootlegs) of her I can find, and I found and bought that Trek April a while back, this is the first time I've seen it on video in any context outside of the listing on Ebay and the one I have on hand! That's great. Love these hunts, man, hope to be able to go someday.
Ben 10! Now that hits me right in the nostalgia spot. I'd get home from elementary school; sit on the couch with a cheese stick in hand and watch some Ben 10 (original series). Later on Ben 10 Alien Force (2nd series) came on in the mornings I believe, so with that had some cereal. Good times!
Dang there’s a toy show this coming Saturday from a toy store I visit often in their parking lot… and there’s a con Sunday in Lodi CA. about 35 minute drive from where I live… Then there’s a toy show in a few weeks the same month just a 8 minute drive from my work place… and then the following weekend after that another toy show in San Jose… about an hour or so depending on traffic from me…I’ve gone to all three before but.. opting for the one on my way to work.. i can go early and head to work after… id go to all three but I’m pretty sure it’s a lot of the same vendors…I’m looking mostly for lightning collection… lots going on in the next couple of weeks in the Bay Area

I had gotten them from K-Mart and I loved them. I remember getting to go to Toys R Us some time later out of town and they had all these other characters that I didn't even know they made. I was so sad cause I couldn't get them. It was crazy. Also the paint flaked really bad on them... That or I just, played with them too much. :P
I got all those he man items like the cassette player I got for 5$ multiple lunch boxes with thermos for 10. Toothbrush holder for 7 and other odd ball he man items

Dan, if they made Mega Man figures i would imagine them to be short and as big as the smurf figurines that were around in the 80s, and he should be short and thick and look like the video game character, not the cartoon.

im new to collecting nobody told me about the dark side of collecting, im staring at my newly bought star wars figures not knowing whether i should open them so i can pose them on my shelf or keep them sealed :( iv had them for 3 days now and my eyes can't help but peer over at them but when i go to open them i stop, HELP ME!!!!!!!! i never knew it was so hard the kid in me is screaming LMAO
Let me Help u. Depending on finances buy 3. 1 to play, one to Display and One to be Kept Mint In Box. Or do what I do and thats have a bit of both, some open some boxed.

I have some OCD, and that “includes paid promotion” banner is driving me bananas, mainly because as a viewer I can’t dismiss it (only you can, as the content creator). Just giving feedback.
I think some of these toy booth owners need to rethink their strategy a bit. Their market is decreasing. Most kids aren't into toys and most won't have any connection to the majority of toys they're selling. A lot of these prices are outrageous, especially for the finite # of customers out there. They're going to be stuck with their inventories. Making money is fine, but outpricing the market is foolish.
@@arowdygator A lot of it isn't for anybody at the prices they're seeking. Holding onto product for 30-40 years, and being dependent on a dwindling market, is foolish. So many are going to be stuck with inventory because their prices are insane.
To be honest I don't like this new format. It's been bothering me for awhile. I can't watch anymore. It's jarring cutting to yourself every 20 seconds to talk about something that could just be a brief voiceover. I like the old videos that were more about the hunt. More show footage is better.
