How to make Pink Dyed Paper for Journals using Food Coloring

- In today's video I wanted to show you how I made my pink dyed paper for my junk journal I showed previously. I know there are different methods out there on how to make pink dyed paper using avocado, using the oven and others as well, but I decided to make my pink dyed paper using food coloring as I haven't seen a video using food coloring before and decided to test it out. Well, it worked! And it'll probably be the method I use when I want pink paper again! Though I might try to bake it in the oven next, I know Rosa Kelly bakes her tea dyed paper in the oven at 230 degrees Fahrenheit so I might give that a try! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this video on how I made my own pink dyed paper for journals!

I like the color. I use Easter egg dye for this process, I buy it when it is on clearance after Easter and I also dry in the oven on a rack and dries super fast (under a minute) and flat. I'd be interested to know what the measurements were for water and dye that you used.

I barely used any food coloring as it was very concentrated. Not sure water either, just filled up the big pan I had about half way! Then it looked like a coral color and just tried one paper and it worked great so I kept going with it. But Easter egg dye sounds like a great idea !
If you dry them in the oven on a rack with holes (like a pizza rack), your paper with get polka dots. Oven on low setting and you’ll be OK.
I’ve used food coloring and I liked it. It was easy. I used the oven.
Great job...I like your method 😉 I don't have an oven currently where I'm staying currently...i might try a hair dryer on low heat...this speeds up most of my drying processes and you won't burn your papers this method...thanks so much!
I dry my papers with a hair dryer.
Love died papers. I use koolaid as the range of colors are cool and I think more vivid than food coloring. Yours turned out so pretty. Don’t you just love the sound of wrinkly paper too, lol. TFS and Take Care Sweetie...
Hugs,
Sue Ann 👍🏻❤️🌹🥰
Oh how fun....going to try this for sure!....
Let me know how it turns out !
You have inspired me to give it a try. You made some very pretty paper -- awesome job for a first time especially.
I use Rit dye and I dry them in the oven. I also press them with my heat press.
Tks for the tutorial! Will try this! Your paper looks great!
Pretty cool way to dye paper, I agree, I would not put it in the oven either. I have never made a junk journal, I have seen u-tubes on it but I'm not sure how or why I would use it. Have you personally ever actually used one? I would be interested in your take on it. I get tempted sometimes but somehow can't justify a purpose for it, know what I mean!!! Thanks for sharing and sending me the link!
Nice Karolina! Thank you for your tutorial!💕💕
Perfect! I love the way it turned out.
The color is perfect nice job! Hope to try this one day xoxo
Yes can’t wait to see your journal omg it’s going to look amazing 🤩
Hi Karolina - I would love to watch your tassel tutorial again, but cant find it in your videos...can you link it for me please? Thank you so much Karolina!

The color came out really good, do you not get the crinkling affect if you dry it in the oven? I’ve done coffee and tea dyed paper in the oven but never noticed if the paper actually crinkled
I’m pretty sure you still get the crinkling effect but someone told me it doesn’t lay as flat. Don’t know how true that is though as I haven’t tried it myself.
Very nice
Thank you!
Fun funn!!!
what weight of paper are you using? mine to the printer tore
Just regular printer copy paper, just have to be careful with it. The package of my paper says 20lb, 75g/m2
@@KarolinasKrafts thank you😀
