I grew up visiting every weekend with my grandparents and uncles. Neighbors and a permanent camper on the tip just to the left lakefront of the marina. My gosh the memories. This little marina has changed so much. I’d run there with my brother after grandma would give us a couple of dollars for a piece of candy and bait. Wow. It wasn’t yesterday more like 45-50 years ago!!

Hey Goodall I have an idea when your at a restaurant I would love to see the menu you know so we can see what every restaurant has to offer so we can pre plan on ordering stuff what we want at the restaurant but I truly love what your doing man keep up the hard work man.

By the way....there is a place in Lawrenceburg you might take a look at! It's called Heaven's to Betsy Bakery! Some of the best and biggest sandwiches I've ever had! My favorites are their Reuben, Spicy Hot Italian(my personal favorite), and the cold club! They are not skimpy on the meats! The sides and sweets are great also! Check it out!

Sorry so late that’s the way lts around here buddy. I lived in Miami fl and we used to hit all off the backwaters to go to places such as these. Used to go to Alabama Jacks and sit on the deck and shuck our red shrimp right into the water and watch the fish eat them and drink cold beer in the sun then go catch our meal. Sandwiches are making me wanna load up and head out Coach!! Love your productions sorry so late Barry!!!

Highly recommend the 145 Roadhouse new place over in Campton ky had a couple of meals there when visiting family there in Campton recently. Great fried green tomatoes!

The true test of good catfish (or any whitefish for that matter) is whether it tastes just as good without tartar sauce as it does with it. And there'd better be plenty of black pepper in that cornmeal breading. Unfortunately I'm allergic to raw onions, so many tartar sauces are a no-go for me. I must check this place out though, as it's harder than it should be to get Green River style fish around Louisville. Watermill Restaurant in Cave City has it on their buffet, and I used to stop there on my way to/from BG/Nashville. The rest of the food is hit or miss, but I could eat three platefuls of that catfish.
I’ve been to watermill. You can’t expect too much from a buffet except quantity.
That has to be one of the best fish sandwiches in the country!
I took the two pieces that came on the fish platter and made that sandwich.
