I think the show would've been much better if they had characters appear more consistently that were smarter than him, but instead they pandered to Sheldon.

Leslie corrected Sheldon's work, he confronted her and she told him "there are no incorrect equations on my board"
Kripke and Sheldon had to work together, Sheldon himself admitted that Kripke is smarter than him.
"I read his research, and... it's leaps and bounds ahead of mine. Which means the mommy of the smartest physicist at the university is not my mommy as I had thought. It's his mommy!" - Sheldon talking about Kripke

@@avengersendgame9706 She was smarter at the legal stuff than Sheldon, he's no lawyer, he was more intelligent than her at academics.
She also let Sheldon blackmail her when he was going to send an email to her parents about Leonard, so Sheldon got the best of her.

This should have been irregular character on the show, maybe every third episode, Sheldon really needed a worthy nemesis on the show.

It's kind of his whole personality... throughout the entire show. It's hardly embarrassing if you actually watch the show.

Let's be honest, there were people on this show that were way smarter than Sheldon. The Physics Bowl for example, the Russian janitor/physicist barely glanced at the the equation Sheldon was stuck on and knew the answer. This show is built around a big baby who has to get his own way so it completely disregards the fact that there are people on the show that are way more intelligent than Sheldon. And when one such person is introduced they are played down to let Sheldon shine again.
Denis is not his match. Denis is superior mind
Imagining, sheldons match might be grumpy trumpy
you know, if you actually bothered to open your mind up to new possibilities, you might actually learn something from a fellow child prodigy
Not an obnoxious one.
