    Tier One is an awesome string company. They have cheap solid quality polys. Duraflexx is very similar to tour bite less spin buy more feel. Firewire is very stiff triangle string with very sharp edges i would say verh similar to Volkl V Squared but even more spin. Tour status is also a solid poly similar to tourna big Hitter 7.

      @isahricker1358 Před 2 lety +1

      Im not a fan of ghost wire but alot of people love it. Its a slick round poly thats probably only viable as a cross hybrid string. But to me if you want something like that. Technifibre Ice code is probably your best bet.

    I am old 4.0 doubles player. Never played wirg polys until I bought this stuff 2 years ago. I string down 5 lbs and no elbow issues. I play 3 to 4 times per week. I re string every 6 to 8 weeks. I recommend you give this a try.

    I love all the strings from Tier One but personally I use the Fire Boost combo (Fire Wire/Ghost Wire). I think all of my friends who was using Hyper G have switched over to this setup. Great strings and awesome company to work with.

      @@christiandaum350 I use Fire Wire on the main and Ghost Wire on the cross. Fire wire is shaped and Ghost wire is round. Great spin and feel. Very soft setup and arm friendly

      @@christiandaum350 I am using a Clash 98 and prefer the strings on the tighter side so I am at 50 lbs. I tried as low as 42 and slowly worked my way up and I settled at 50lbs. Good luck! I hope you enjoy this string setup as much as I do.

    • @gabrielalcocer8051
      @gabrielalcocer8051 Před 2 lety +1

      @@thomaschippendale5503 It’s difficult to explain. It’s low powered but doesn’t feel dead at all, gives just enough pocketing to feel the ball without ‘trampoline effect’. The caveat, I adopted the lower tension poly idea, string it at 38-40. Black Knight is similar but a little more lively.

    What is the recommended string tension? I normally string at 23.5/23kg. I believe this is 53/51 pounds

  • @saifuddinmohammed2225
    @saifuddinmohammed2225 Před 2 lety +1

    Coach Gu's review was spot on, Black knight definitely has some good ball pocketing compared to other shaped strings and decent level of comfort too. I used this string without a dampener in my Pure Control and didn't feel any discomfort, whereas strings such as solinco revolution needed a dampener to play with.

    • @yo_eddie2576
      @yo_eddie2576 Před 2 lety +2

      Dampeners don't do anything for comfort, they don't reduce vibration just noise.

    I should prob go back to the clash. I’m losing power (still hit pretty hard but not enough I’m using too much energy) I’ve been using diadem and it’s a solid racquet . I use all Solinco confidential @ 50 lbs. wondering if I should blend, or change polys.
