Flamenco Fan Basics- How to use a Fan for Flamenco Dance

This video is part of the FLAMENCO SIN ZAPATOS (flamenco without shoes) class series. Although this video is very basic, it's important because I have seen so many students break their fan (my fans!) when first trying to use it in class.
Also many times students are not aware of their shoulders moving upward in an effort to rotate the wrist. A lot is happening in the body to produce a smooth, effortless wrist rotation with a fan!

Have you ever wanted to learn flamenco dance but had a difficult time getting the shoes to fit or being comfortable in high heels? In this series Arleen teaches dancers the fundamentals of flamenco dance but "sin zapatos", without shoes.
