    If you're taking the time to swap out to premium hooks I seriously recommend you don't neglect upgrading to premium split rings! You can spend $4.99 on 10 Owner hyper wire rings or go to the saltwater section of your local tackle shop and spend $7.99 on a pack of 100 rings. Enjoy the video but what were the 'tips we've never seen before'??

    I tossed out my 10XD yesterday. The fish here in the river out of Lake Eufaula are in 30 to 40 feet of water. very hard to get down to them. The shallow bite is non existent right now. The temps range from 75 to 84 degrees..any help would be appreciated..once again your videos are awesome. very informative and makes me want to do that all day, but it does get my arm worn out by tossing it out more frequently than a soft plastic...lol

      @FishtheMoment  Před 7 lety +2

      I agree with Sam. It's a great rod for a Strike King 6XD, 8XD, and 10XD. It's not meant for medium divers and square bills though because it's too long. So if you're looking for an all around crankbait rod, I'd go with a 7 foot or 7 foot 4 inch medium action crankbait rod.

    Quick question if your throwing out a deep diver and burning it back as fast as you can and ur using a 5.1 gear why not use a like 6.4 or 7.3 gear or faster reel to get the bait back faster and save your arm love all the videos learned more from them then any others

    • @kidiraq8381
      @kidiraq8381 Před 5 lety +1

      Tyler Lakes great question! I just went out today and picked up a Lews BB1ZHL with a 6.4 ratio. I couldn’t get help on a reel for deep diving cranks that were 5.1 and left handed. Still not sure if I made the right choice?!

    • @kidiraq8381
      @kidiraq8381 Před 4 lety

      Far East Angler tks brother and I agree! The 6.5”4 is better then a 7+ I’ve realized now, but man after a few hours of deep cranking with it, I’m done. Definitely will be looking at lower gear ratio for this season, again! God Bless, Tks for the reply, and tight lines!

      @@kidiraq8381 Curado K's are still around if you look hard, and there is the Abu Garcia Revo5 Winch (5.4:1). I know its a time of transition where more & more anglers are increasing the speed they work even the deepest of cranks these days, not excluding the Tactical Boys
